Methods: The study used a survey design with a sample of 152 nurses working at Korean medicine hospitals in Kyunggi province and Seoul. The data were collected from January 15 to March 18, 2016 and were analyzed with SPSS WIN 21.0. Results: The factors that influenced on retention intention were knowledge (${\beta}=.36$, p<.001) and role conflict (${\beta}=-.18$, p=.020) of KM nursing which explained 25.3% of retention intention in KM nurses (F=6.06, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings suggest that it is necessary to develop and offer KM nursing education programs for increasing retention intention among nurses in Korean medicine hospital. It is also important to specify the roles of KM nurses for reducing role conflict.

  • Purpose : This study aimed to identify factors influencing clinical nurses' intention to report medication administration errors. Methods : This cross-sectional study collected data from 121 nurses in charge of administering medication at a university hospital in Korea using structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression. Results : Participants' mean age was 26.90±3.99 years, and 89.3% were women. Their mean clinical career duration was 3.88±4.26 years. The average levels of patient safety culture, attitude toward reporting medication administration errors, and intention to report medication administration errors were 7.51 out of 10, 3.36 out of 5, and 4.85 out of 6, respectively. The multiple regression analysis results indicated that the statistically significant influencing factors were patient safety culture (𝛽=.21, p =.018) and attitude toward reporting medication administration errors (𝛽=.22, p =.015). Conclusion : To improve the intention to report medication administration errors among clinical nurses, a patient safety culture must be established, along with an education provision for improving their attitudes toward reporting such administration errors.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the influences of type D personality, burnout and work environment on nurses' intention to stay at the hospitals among nurses. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive design was used. Participants were 135 nurses working at general hospitals. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program for descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson's correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The score of nurses' intention to stay was 4.78. 39.3% of participants were classified as type D personality group. The scores of burnout and work environment were 2.92 and 2.39, respectively. Intention to stay was negatively correlated with burnout and positively correlated with nurse participation in hospital affairs, nursing foundations for quality of care, nurse manager ability, leadership, and support of nurses, staffing and resource adequacy. Burnout and manager ability, leadership, and support for nurses explained 46.0% of variance of nurses' intention to stay in the hospitals. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that nursing intervention programs for increasing intention to stay for nurses should include strategies for decreasing the burnout and increasing manager ability, leadership, and support for nurses.

Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study utilized self-administered questionnaires. The study recruited a convenience sample of 211 clinical nurses from threertiary hospitals in South Korea. The survey was conducted between July and August 2021. The collected data underwent hierarchical multiple regression analyses. Results: The regression analyses indicated that clinical nurses' intention to stay was significantly associated with job stress (B=-0.06, 95% CI [-0.09, -0.04]), six or more years of clinical practice (B=0.60, 95% CI [0.13, 1.07]), men (B=0.87, 95% CI [0.30, 1.44]), and being placed on their desired nursing unit (B=0.39, 95% CI [0.27, 0.76]). Intention to stay was not found to be associated with authentic leadership by the unit managers. Conclusion: It is essential to implement workplace health promotion programs to prevent and reduce job stress among nurses to retain proficient clinical nurses. Additionally, nursing workforce management strategies tailored to the specific sex and career path of nurses are necessary. Moreover, careful consideration should be given to nursing unit placements that align with the individual aptitudes of nurses.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors which affect the quality of nursing services and intention to revisit as perceived by hospitalized patients and nurses in medium sized urban hospitals. Methods: The SERVQUAL scale, a measurement of overall nursing services and intention to revisit a medical institution, was used. The sample consisted of 223 patients and 239 nurses from four medium sized hospitals in I city. Frequencies, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and Stepwise method regression were used to analyze the data. Results: For expectation, nurse and patient perceptions were similar, but for performance, patient perception was significantly higher than nurse perception for five factors. The factors affecting intention to revisit the hospital were those recommending, satisfaction with medical and nursing services. Conclusion: The findings indicate that differences between expectations and performance for both patients and nurses need to be reduced in order to elevate patient satisfaction. A precondition for intention to revisit and increased satisfaction is the development of marketing strategies as well as intervention programs in nursing.
