The purpose of this study was to examine relationships among empowerment, awareness and performance on standard precautions and identify the factors that affect performance of standard precaution in nursing students experiencing clinical practice. The data were collected from 168 nursing students who experienced clinical practice in the two colleges located Jeonnam. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS 20.0 program. The result of the stepwise multiple regression indicates the awareness predict 77.7% (F=579.84, p<.001) in the performance of standard precaution. Therefore, it is necessary to develop awareness of the standard precaution strategy program for improving the performance of standard precautions in nursing students experiencing clinical practice.

The purpose of this study was to identify experiences of core basic nursing skills(CBNS), self-confidence during clinical practice and clinical competence in 208 nursing students attending nursing department and understand which factor, either experiences of CBNS or self-confidence during clinical practice has an impact on clinical competence. Our research findings are as follows. There was a positive correlation between experiences of CBNS, self-confidence during clinical practice and clinical competence. The factor that had the biggest impact on clinical competence was self-confidence during clinical practice and the explanation power of both factors was 31.2%, based on multiple regression analysis. Based on these findings, nursing educate need to develop a curriculum to increase self-confidence during clinical practice in students.

The purpose of this study is to explore the self-directed learning experiences of nursing student in an online learning. Data collection was conducted through three focus group interviews from July to August 2021, and the subjects of the study were 15 nursing students who experienced online learning. For analysis, all interviews were recorded and transcribed as the participants said, and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. As a result of the study, 4 categories and 11 subcategories were derived. The four categories which nursing students experienced on online self-directed learning were 'cognitive action of learning motivation', 'preparing my own learning strategy through reflection', 'creating an environment that supports learning', and 'effective online instructional design and enthusiasm of instructors.' The results of this study can be used as basic data for preparing self-directed learning strategies of nursing students in online learning.

The aim of this study was to understand and describe experience of nurses who working in general hospital located in Gyeongsangnam-do and leading the clinical nursing practice education for nursing students. A qualitative descriptive method was employed. the data was collected through in-depth interviews until the data sufficiently reached saturation and analyzed through thematic analysis method. Three themes, eight categories, and twenty five sub-categories were identified. Three themes which emerged from data analysis included 'Growing up with students', 'Teaching students without a compass', and 'Balancing in a variety of roles'. The results of this study provide valuable understanding and knowledge of nurses' experiences in clinical nursing practice education of nursing students, which leads to improvement of the quality of clinical education for nursing students.

This study is a qualitative study to uncover the meaning and structure of nursing students' online psychiatric nursing practice experience by applying Parse's research method. The subjects of the study were 9 fourth-year nursing students at K University who took psychiatric nursing practice online in the COVID-19 situation. Data collection was conducted from March 7, 2022 to May 27, 2022. As a result of the study, the core concepts of nursing students' online practice experience in psychiatric nursing in the COVID-19 situation were: 'Recognizing the importance of understanding oneself and others', 'Preparing for communication to build therapeutic relationships', and 'A perspective on the future through exploration of the meaning of nursing'. Structural transposition was presented as 'Empathy for self and others', 'Mindset for interpersonal human relationship', 'Exploring the essence of nursing and self-realization'. Conceptual integration appeared as 'Valuing', 'Revealing-Concealing', 'Revealing-Concealing'. In conclusion, nursing students' online practice experience in mental health nursing in the COVID-19 situation was an experience of growing and transcending as future nurses by recognizing the importance of human understanding and communication for the therapeutic relationship that is the purpose of mental nursing. This study will serve as basic data for efficient clinical practice operations in various unpredictable situations, such as future pandemics.

This study was conducted to discover the meaning and the essential structure of the experiences of nursing students' introductory clinical practice. The participants were eight nursing students who had carried out the introductory clinical practice at a hospital. The data was collected from July 15 2019 to July 31, 2019 through focus group discussions and in-depth individual interviews using non-structured questionnaires. The data was analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis methodology. The introductory clinical practice experienced by nursing students was categorized as followed: 'Feel worried and concern about expectations at the same time', 'Hospital experience as reality', 'Becoming accustomed to complexed emotion's, 'The first step of becoming a nurse', and 'Preparation for the future'. The five categories were expanded in the same context according to time. The essential structure of the clinical introductory practice experiences of the nursing students revealed by the study is that they begin to practice feeling worried and concerned about expectations, and concern about experience and adaption to various situations, emotions and preparation for the future. Based on the results obtained from this study, it is necessary to develop a realistic and effective education program before starting clinical practice.

This study was conducted to identify factors affecting clinical practice stress of nursing students. Data were collected from 191 nursing students who experienced clinical practice and analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. Study result turned up interpersonal ability is 3.61points(5points), nunchi is 3.57points(5points), clinical practice stress is 2.94points(5points). Factors affecting clinical practice stress were interpersonal ability, and nunchi Behavior. These variables were 23.5% influential in explaining the clinical practice stress of nursing students. Based on this result, it can be used as basic data to prepare a plan to reduce the clinical practice stress of nursing students.

This is a methodological triangulation study to investigate of adjustment to college life in associate nursing college students. Participants were 139 associate nursing students. Data were collected from September 15 to November 17, 2012. Quantitative data were analyzed using PASW 20.0. Qualitative data were analyzed using open coding and categorization. Mean value for adjustment to college life was 2.96. It was significantly different according to nursing major (F=6.23, p=.003), study loading (F=4.47, p=.013), and perceived learning achievement (F=6.87, p=.001). 'Burden on study loading', 'Burden on job finding', 'Securing diverse support', 'Diverse extra-curricular', and 'Qualified practicum education' were extracted from the qualitative data. Results suggest diverse program development to decrease study loading, increase chances to connect with supporters, provide various extra-curricular activities and guarantee qualified practicum education are important in associate nursing college students' adaptation to college life.

The aim of this was to examine the mediating effect of resilience in the relatioinship of stress to emotional intelligence in nursing students experienced COVID-19. The participants in this study were 179 nursing students in 3rd and 4th grade and data were collected using self-reported questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 25.0 program, with descriptive statistics x2-test, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation. There were significant correlations between college based stress and emotional intelligence(r=-.33, p<.001), clinical based stress and emotional intelligence(r=-.31, p<.001), resilience and emotional intelligence(r=62, p<.001). Resilience showed partial mediating effects in the relationship between college-based stress and emotional intelligence. Resilience showed full mediating effects in the relationship between clinical-based stress and emotional intelligence(Z=-3.07, p<.001). Based on the findings of this study, the enhancement of resilience may positively affect the emotional intelligence of the nursing students, even while they are stress. Therefore, it is necessary to develop effective strategies to enhance resilience for stress.

The study was to understand the meaning and nature of clinical practice by examining the clinical experience of male nursing college students who have experienced clinical practice and to obtain basic data on how male nurses influence the career setting in clinical practice. to be. Participants in this study were male students who are currently in the Department of Nursing at H University, and three snowmen were selected as 3rd grade students and 3rd grade male students who had clinical practice, and analyzed meaningful statements according to Colaizzi data analysis To understand the meaning of students' clinical experience. The findings were divided into three categories, with six themes and 14 meaningful statements. The male nursing students experienced discrimination on the grounds of 'negative nursing image experienced in ward practice', 'the burden of self to be handled', and 'the charm of nursing found in the special part training experience'. Conflict and confusion over the profession were causing. However, among them, the professionalism of the nurses was confirmed and the pleasure of learning was found, and the results of this study can provide a holistic view of the clinical practice experience of male nursing students. In addition, it can be used as a basic data useful for counseling and guidance on academic adaptation and clinical practice adaptation of male nursing college students, and is expected to be useful for counseling career decision after graduation of male nursing students.
