  • This study identifies possible determinants that may have influences on the switching behavior from the current payment system of credit or check cards to the easy payment service based on push-pulling-mooring model. And this research empirically tests how those determinants affect switching intention to the easy payment service. The moderating effect of policy expectation is also taken into account. The findings show switching intention to the easy payment service is influenced by the followings: dissatisfaction with the current payment system as a pushing factor, perceived easy of use and trust in easy payment service as pulling factors, and affective/cognitive inertia and unfavorable subjective norm as mooring factors. The results also show that moderating effect of policy expectation exists in the relationship between perceived ubiquitousness and switching intention.

  • Recently, companies that have already the brand familiarity based on IT technology are changing the way of financial transactions by providing mobile simple payment service. It is difficult to apply the results of research conducted on traditional financial products, although the familiarity of the brand positively affects the brand attitude and intention of use in the preceding studies. To confirm this, this study verified whether mobile simple payment services of a company with high brand familiarity can copy the service easily and have intention of use through advertisement acceptance. The empirical results showed that the advertising of brand with high familiarity could be a motivation factor to imitate new services more easily. This results is meaningful in that it confirms the importance of strategic advertising because the more higher the brand's familiarity is, the more efficient the advertising can be used in the mobile simple payment service.

  • As a new alternative to cash and credit-cards, mobile payment has been attracting world's attention. Although fin-tech, a mobile payment system provider, has been a rising issue, mobile payment systems is not yet widely used domestically. Because trust is the most important element in revitalizing the mobile payment system, we hoped to develop a hierarchical trust model to analyze the multi-dimensional trust factor. In this study, surveys were conducted to identify the components that affect the overall trust of a mobile payment system. It has been concluded that cognitive trust, affective trust, trust in system quality affect the overall trust of the system, and this trust affects the continuance intention of users.

  • Near Field Communication has been emerged as a spectacular phenomenon. The aim of this study is to determine the factors influencing the adoption of NFC-enabled mobile payment. In order to analyze, this study proposes a research framework based on Technology Acceptance Model. 353 valid data were collected through the Internet who has used NFC technology. Results show that relative advantage, social influence, and technology availability have a significant effect on perceived usefulness ($0.190{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$, $0.211{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$, $0.227{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$respectively). However, for perceived ease of use, only relative advantage and social influence were verified to have significant influence. Perceived ease of use significantly influence perceived usefulness ($0.348{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$), and both of them significantly affect the NFC-payment adoption intention ($0.199{\ast}{\ast}$, $0.361{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$). The results also verified the moderator variable of personal innovativeness ($0.20{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$ and $0.297{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$respectively).

  • Today, banks around the world are making great efforts to adapt to the rapidly changing internal and external environment changes caused by the development of IT technology and to gain a competitive advantage in the market. In particular, in line with the rapid growth of smartphone usage, financial services are also provided in a variety of ways using Fintech, and one of the fastest growing areas is mobile simple payment. Mobile payment service is a financial service that pays the purchase price using a portable mobile device. As fintech, a convergence of financial services and information technology, it is recently used not only in financial services, but also in various industries. It is used in all fields where payment functions such as distribution are available. In the case of mobile cards, it shows that the usage rate of people in their 20s and 30s is increasing very much, so it can be said that the use of mobile payment services will continue to increase in the coming future. We know that simple payments are being used. However, it can be said that the research on the use of mobile payment services by these teenagers is somewhat incomplete. Therefore, this study investigated what factors are important for Korean teenagers to use mobile payment services. As a result, among the five hypotheses presented in this study, all hypotheses were adopted except for , which states that cash usage habits have no effect on innovation.

  • Recently, a plenty of credit card payment protocols have been proposed in Korea. Several features of proposed protocols include: using passwords for user authentication in stead of official certificate for authenticity, and no need to download additional security module via ActiveX into user's devices. In this paper, we suggest two new credit card payment protocols that use both SSL(Security Socket Layer) as a standardized secure transaction protocol and password authentication to perform online shopping and payment. The first one is for the case where online shopping mall is different from PG(Payment Gateway) and can be compared to PayPal-based payment methods, and the second one is for the case where online shopping mall is the same as PG and thus can be compared to Amazon-like methods. Two proposed protocols do not require users to perform any pre-registration process which is separate from an underlying shopping process, instead users can perform both shopping and payment into a single process in a convenient way. Also, users are asked to input a distinct payment password, which increases the level of security in the payment protocols. We believe that two proposed protocols can help readers to better understand the recent payment protocols that are suggested by various vendors, and to analyze the security of their payment protocols.
