Estimate of heritabilities, genotypic and phenotypic correlations and path coefficient analysis were performed for the seven characters of barley cultivars (Hordeum vulgare L.). Heritabilities of broad sense for stem length and spike length were 0.923 and 0.907. Kernels per spike, grain yield and 100 grain weight also showed high heritabilities. High genotypic and phenotypic correlations existed between stem length and 100 grain weight. Grain yield showed highly significant phenotypic correlation with spike length, 100 grain weight and kernels per spike. Genotypic correlations between those characters were moderately high. Number of stem had greatest direct effect but the number of spike had a strong negative direct effect upon grain yield. Kernels per spike via number of spike showed greatest indirect effect and the number of stem via number of spike showed strong negative indirect effect upon grain yield.

The purposes of this study were to measure the degree of middle school students' victimization and to identify the variables to affect it. The study were investigated 338 middle school students aged from 13 to 15 years old. The questionnaire consisted of victimization and affecting variables it; expression of anger, social skills, and aggressiveness. Multiple regression analysis showed that the overt form of peer victimization was explained by the control expression of anger, cooperation, sympathy, and enmity. The results also showed that the covert form of peer victimization was explained by the control expression of anger, sympathy, and enmity. In conclusion, sympathy of social skill was the most significant factor that affected the overt form of peer victimization and the covert form of peer victimization. Social skill will serve as the basic element to develop education programs to solve the problems of those who are victimization.

This study was conducted to demonstrate the relationship between experience of cannibalism and difference of phenotype in the Korean salamander Hynobius leechii from March to April 2011. We examined whether the different polyphenism of larval salamander is induced as a result of indirect cannibalism in early life cycle. We divided into two groups(one group continuously exposed to the indirect cannibalism and the other group never exposed to the cannibalism). We measured the head width at the level of eyes(HWE), the largest head width(LHW) and snout-vent length(SVL) of the each larva then calculated the ratio of the head size by dividing HWE by LHW. We found that exposure of indirect cannibalism in early life cycle cause the different polyphenism. Our result means the larval salamander responded to the chemical cue from conspecific.

A Study on the Effect of Metaphor in Public Service Advertising. The study carried out a positivistic research on university students with a view to contributing to the building of a metaphoric ad strategy by analyzing the effect of metaphoric expressions in public service advertising, which showed the following: First, the metaphoric ads using positive approach and indirect copy were effective for heightened emotional attitude of viewers. Second, the metaphoric ads using positive approach and indirect copy were effective for heightened source credibility, which was further heightened when the two were simultaneously used. Third, the metaphoric ads using positive approach and indirect copy were effective for heightened design preference, and the design preference became even preferable when the two were simultaneously used. Fourth, the metaphoric ads using indirect copy were effective for behavioral intention. The study suggested that the strategy of adopting metaphoric ads with indirect copy of positive approach was quite useful in strengthening the effect of public service advertising.

This study was performed on purpose to consider the charade function of props in directing animation. The prop is gradually expanded its role and scope in modern animation. Its scope covers dramatic factors, creating and changing characters, the means of psychological description or emotional expression, mise-en-scene, montage, creating products etc. Like this, the prop has an important function emotionally or indispensably in human life. Thus, the prop should be a subject that can speak to audiences or viewers, not worthless and silent subject. Hence, the prop should be recognized as a charade having productional function. Nevertheless, the prop has been unnoticed up to now. The function of props should be valued hereafter. The prop itself is meaningless, but it always speaks to audiences on the screen.

Objective of this study is to be utilized as foundational data of expression methods and to increase children's dream and imagination by researching and analyzing differences of imaginative reaction from patterns of imaginative activities and verbal response for the expressive methods of illustrations. Study subjects are 253 children aged from six to seven years old, and four different types of research tool of which are screens with simple pattern, realistic pattern, omitted pattern and indirect pattern has been used in the empirical survey conducted over two times. Result from provided research tools has shown that difference of diversity can be observed from patterns of imaginative activities and verbal reaction patterns. Especially, in terms of imaginative activities, structural and creative imagination responses can be observed from screens with simple, omitted patterns and indirect and metaphorical patterns compares to screens with simple patterns and direct, realistic patterns, and positive affection to children's dream and creativity and imagination can be found from the result of high imaginative response observed from patterns of verbal reaction.

음함수 곡면은 물체 표면을 직접 정의하지 않고 영역 구분 함수를 통해 물체를 포함하는 공간상의 모든 점들의 관계를 정의함으로써 간접적으로 표현하는 방법이다. 음함수 곡면을 이용한 모델링은 함수나 수식을 이용하여 물체를 표현하기 때문에 표면의 위치를 찾기 위한 계산이 필요하지만, 및 가지의 함수 정의만으로 복잡한 형태의 곡면을 직접 표현할 수 있으며 주어진 모델로부터 서로 다른 품질의 이미지를 제공할 수 있다는 장점을 갖는다.(중략)
