A Study of Aerodynamic Modelling for Fin Unfolding Motion Analysis (공력면 전개 모사를 위한 공력 모델링 연구)

  • For simulation of a fin unfolding motion for the various aerodynamic conditions, equations and moments applying to the unfolding fin were modelled. Aerodynamic roll moment consists of the static roll moment and the damping moment, which were obtained through wind tunnel tests and numerical analyses respectively. Panel method was used to compute the roll damping coefficient with deflected fin, whose angle was equivalent to angle of attack due to the deployment motion. Roll damping coefficient is a function of angle of attack, sideslip angle, and deployment angle but not of angular velocity of deployment. Simulation with aerodynamic damping model gave more similar deployment time compared to fin deployment test results.

  • This paper considers a fault tolerant control problem for a spacecraft using wheels which are momentum exchanging devices. The control of a satellite with only two healthy wheels has been studied and its result has been presented. Two different configurations have been considered. When the yaw rate cannot be controlled directly by any control input, the desired yaw rate can be obtained by using the roll rate as a pseudo control. As a result, all three angular speeds have been stabilized, and two attitude angles including pitch and yaw have been controlled to converge to the desired values.

  • 전력계통안정화장치(PSS)는 전력안정화를 위하여 발전기의 여자기에 보조신호를 주입하여 전력계통의 진동문제를 해결할 수 있는 장치이다. 본 논문은 기존의 비실시간 툴 (PSS/E, EMTDC/PCAD.,)을 사용한 경우와 달리 실시간 시뮬레이션 툴을 사용하여 전력계통안정화장치(Power System Stabilizer : PSS)의 영향 및 효과를 검토하였다. 이에 사용된 실시간 툴은 RTDS의 PC 버전인 RSCAD를 이용하여 분석하였다. 모의에 사용된 선로는 3상 3회선 송전선로이며 무한모선에 연결하였다. 사고는 3회선 중의 1회선 중앙에 3상 지락 상정사고를 발생시켜 선로 차단 및 재투입을 고려하여 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 RSCAD에 대한 기존의 전통적인 형태인 IEEE의 PSS1A type과 보다 정교한 이중구조를 가진 PSS2A type을 사용하여 검토하였다. IEEE의 PSS1A type은 각속도 ${\omega}$를 측정하여 사용하고 PSS2A type은 각속도 ${\omega}$와 유효전력 P를 측정하여 사용할 수 있는 형태이다. 그리고 실시간 시뮬레이션 결과는 각속도 ${\omega}$와 유효전력 P를 측정하여 PSS의 입력에 주입하고 이에 대한 효과를 비교하였다.

Numerical Study on Fluid Flow Characteristics in Taylor Reactor using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD를 이용한 테일러 반응기의 유동 특성에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • This study investigated the variations of Taylor flow and particle residence time in a Taylor reactor according to the changes of angular velocity and inlet velocity using computational fluid dynamics technique. The results showed that the fluid in a reactor became unstable with an increase of angular velocity. The flow moved to the regions of CCF, TVF, WVF and MWVF resulting in an increase of Reynolds number. Accordingly, the flow characteristics were different for each regions. We confirmed that the inlet velocity influences the Taylor flow. The particle residence time and standard deviation increased with an increase of angular velocity and a decrease of inlet velocity.

  • A Direction Cosine Matrix (DCM) of each satellites sensor/actuator which contains an directional information of sensor/actuator is implemented in the on-board flight software. In order to verify the polarity of direction cosine matrix, it is mostly used that an actual sensor/actuator output is compared with the expected output value which responses to the pre-defined external stimulus to the sensor/actuator. For the gyro sensors, the Earth rotational rate can be used as an external input for the polarity verification of DCM, without using an artificial stimulus. In this study, the polarity of gyro DCM is checked and verified using the several test data which have been acquired during the different system level test phases. Finally the polarity of DCM was successfully verified using the Earth rotational rate.

  • The control characteristics after the failure of the control moment gyros, the actuators for satellite attitude control, were analyzed. In particular, the situation where one out of four failed was considered. For the most commonly used pyramids and box-90 structures, the singularities and singular surfaces after failure were analyzed and compared. Dynamic equations for the process of reducing the wheel speed after the failure were derived. The process of stabilizing the angular velocity of a satellite while absorbing the momentum of the faulty module by the three normal modules was analyzed. For singular shapes, the remaining CMGs may be locked or excessively shake. The authors proposed that it can be prevented by rearranging the gimbal angles.

  • The finite element (FE) model updating is a commonly used approach in civil engineering, enabling damage detection, design verification, and load capacity identification. In the FE model updating, acceleration responses are generally employed to determine modal properties of a structure, which are subsequently used to update the initial FE model. While the acceleration-based model updating has been successful in finding better approximations of the physical systems including material and sectional properties, the boundary conditions have been considered yet to be difficult to accurately estimate as the acceleration responses only correspond to translational degree-of-freedoms (DOF). Recent advancement in the sensor technology has enabled low-cost, high-precision gyroscopes that can be adopted in the FE model updating to provide angular information of a structure. This study proposes a FE model updating strategy based on data fusion of acceleration and angular velocity. The usage of both acceleration and angular velocity gives richer information than the sole use of acceleration, allowing the enhanced performance particularly in determining the boundary conditions. A numerical simulation on a simply supported beam is presented to demonstrate the proposed FE model updating approach.

  • 본 논문에서는 비선형 마찰이 존재하는 조준경 안정화 시스템에 대해서 마찰력 보상과 성능개선을 위한 신경망제어기의 설계방법을 제시한다. 제안한 신경망제어기는 비례, 적분, 진상(PI/LEAD) 제어기와 신경회로망과의 병렬로 구성되며, 제어 목적은 비선형 마찰과 외란이 존재하여도 안정거울의 각속도 추적성능과 안정화 성능의 향상에 있다. 신경회로망의 입력으로 안정거울의 각속도 추적오차와 추적오차의 적분, 제어입력이 필터를 통과한 신호가 사용되며, 신경호로망은 간접학습구조에 의해 학습된다. 조준경 시스템의 비선형 마찰력인 쿨롱마찰력의 크기가 외부환경에 따라 변하는 경우와 시스템으로 외란이 인가되는 경우에 대하여도 제안한 병렬제어기는 기존의 PI/LEAD 제어기보다 추적과 안정화 성능면에서 우수함을 컴퓨터 모의 실험으로 확인한다.

  • To keep up with the regulation of OBD II(on board diagnostics II), many detection methods for engine misfire have been developed. Among them, the method of using the crankshaft speed fluctuation is the most noticeable in the point of view of lower cost and easier installation than any others. On the basis of the results obtained from the previous engine-dynamometer test, the integrating torque index (ITI) has been introduced. In this research, the instrumental and the interfacing systems to engine control unit(ECU) are developed for the vehicle test. Therefore, the vehicle and chassis-dynamometer test can be carried out in addition to the rough road test. From this test, the previousproposed method proved that it can be applied to the real vehicle.

  • 수중운동체가 수중에서 진행할 때 외부 파도에 의한 불확실한 부하 저항을 받으므로 이에 대응하는 핀(조타) 구동부의 제어 문제를 고려한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 제어기는 본체로부터의 지정 각도를 부여 받으면 이에 부응하여 핀의 각도와 각속도를 이용하여 제어기의 알고리즘을 구축하여 지정된 경로를 추적하게 한다. 또한 핀의 각속도 정보의 이용이 부득이 어려운 상황에 대처하기 위하여 핀의 각도만을 이용한 출력제어기나 추정기를 설계하여 주위 환경의 불확실성을 극복할 수 있는 제어기를 제안한다. DC서보 모터로 구성괸 핀 구동부에 대해 실제 데이터를 사용하여 제안된 제어기의 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증한다.
