Simon and Sullivan(l993) estimated that clothing and textile related brand equity had the highest magnitude comparing any other industry category. It reflects that fashion brands reinforce the symbolic, social values and emotional characteristics being different from generic brands. Recently, Kim and Lim(2002) developed a fashion brand equity scale to measure a brand's psychometric properties. However, they suggested that additional psychometric tests were needed to compare the relative magnitude of each brand's equity. The purpose of this study was to recognize the psychometric constructs of fashion brand equity and validate Kim and Lim's fashion brand equity scale using the measurement invariance test of cross-group comparison. First, we identified the constructs of fashion brand equity using confirmatory factor analysis through structural equation modeling. Second, we compared the relative magnitude of two brands' equity using the measurement invariance test of multi-group simultaneous factor analysis. Data were collected at six major universities in Seoul, Korea. There were 696 usable surveys for data analysis. The results showed that fashion brand equity was comprised of 16 items representing six dimensions: customer-brand resonance, customer feeling, customer judgment, brand imagery, brand performance and brand awareness. Also, we could support the measurement invariance of two brands' equities by configural and metric invariance tests. There were significant differences in five constructs' mean values. The greatest difference was in customer feeling; the smallest, in customer judgment.
It is required to derive various conclusions by identifying the type of power and the relationship between SCMs and presenting practical implications. Thus, we can identify the differential effects of each type of power on SCM performance. We can contribute to develop the practical implications at more sophisticated multi-dimension by comparing results of this study with various SCM theories. Through previous studies, the source of power is largely divided into binding power and non-binding power. Binding power is classified into behavior coercion, binding reward and relationship legitimacy. Non-binding power is classified into work expertise, information superiority and value compliance. Enterprises should fully understand and recognize partners within supply chains including understanding of the source of power, imbalance and results. Thus, we look into types of power and effects on trust and commitment, and identify a causal relationship leading to collaboration and SCM performance. Specific research results are as follows. First, the binding power did not give a significant effect to the trust. However, the binding power gave a positively(+) significant effect to the commitment. Second, non-binding power showed a significant effect on both trust and commitment. As a result of analysis on total effects, it was shown that non-binding power gave indirect effects to collaboration and SCM performance. Third, it was shown that both trust and commitment significantly affected collaboration. From the perspectives of social exchange theory and trading cost theory among inter-organizational relationship theory, it may lead to SCM performance of trust, commitment and collaboration. Moreover, it was found that association of each attribute of power led to the significant result. Fourth, it was shown that trust and collaboration significantly affected SCM performance. However, commitment did not directly affect SCM performance, but it indirectly significantly affected SCM performance through collaboration. Proper use of this power can firmly build partnerships between members of the supply chain and induce the improvement on supply chain performance and satisfaction of members.
The main objective of this topic is to establish strategies and to plan biotechnology researches which are related to the agricultural improvements especially focusing on the crop breeding in Korea. From 1960's to 1980's government policy had been emphasized to develope high yielding cultivars for the self sufficient supply of the staple food crops. As a result, considerable increase of rice production has been made with accumulating technology and man's powers. Recently genetically modified crops harboring useful characteristics have been developed using biotechnology and released in the developed countries. National research institutes and private companies have been developed biotechnology researches to establish competitive capabilities, however they have not been successfully used in commercialization. Therefore it is necessary to promote the practical. application by connecting molecular technology with conventional breeding. Proposed research projects are; (1) basic researches including plant genome studies, (2) developing new cultivars through gene transformation, (3) screening and producing antioxidants, secondary metabolite substances and edible vaccines. To set a government policy, both domestic and international research trends were reviewed and possibility of success based on the economic view point were discussed. The intellectual property and preservation of environment play a key role to decide the research priority. It is also necessary for us to make one step system for the distribution of research resources such as microorganisms, genes cloned, plant seeds and research informations for promoting research activities.
Organizational culture represents values and beliefs that members share and is a factor that influences the behavior of organizational members. Understanding organizational culture is a source of competitive advantage to increase the rate of success and efficient management of the organization. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between job satisfaction and the turnover intention of sailors. To achieve its purpose, the study was developed by examining the properties to be used for the demonstration and the purpose of the study, and verifying the hypothesis through empirical analysis. Empirical analysis showed that developmental, rational, and group cultures among organizational culture have a significant impact on job satisfaction. When the organizational culture has a group culture and an extrinsic factor to job satisfaction, it has a negative effect on turnover intention. This implies that the shipping company needs to foster organizational culture to feel like growing for Sailors themselves and to improve relationship and cooperation with other sailors rather than trying to control strongly. The shipping company will need to educate members and manage its organizational culture consistently for improving the organizational culture.
This research examined a study on the effect of the self-determination and motivation in the crowdsourcing on the continuous participation intention. This study has classified the three elements of the self-determination which is not forced by outer pressure has intended to analyze practically the effect on the motivation of the customers participating in the crowdsourcing into the intrinsic motivation phase and extrinsic motivation phase. The autonomy, competence and relatedness could be verified with the intrinsic motivation phase of the participants who affect positively the enjoyment and accomplishment. In the effect autonomy, competence and relatedness on the monetary compensation and recognition by others of the extrinsic motivation phase, the hypothesis that the effect autonomy, competence and relatedness of the on the monetary compensation would be negative was overruled, which must have been because while the participation in the crowdsourcing is proposing voluntarily one's own ideas, the concept that the monetary compensation makes the participants participate in order to perceive others not in the voluntary proposals but in the competitive relationships and win them worked and thus the autonomy was perceived negatively. Also, the reason why the relationship between the monetary compensation and the autonomy, competence and relatedness was not supported can be said to be because the crowding-out effect which decreases the intrinsic motivation affected the external compensation and the motivation.
This study examines the effects of entrepreneurial orientation and external oriented organizational culture on the firm perfornamance focusing on mediating effects of open innovation. The survey was conducted on Korean manufacturing firms with 100-5,000 employees among listed companies and external auditing companies. The validity of the research model and hypotheses was verified through analysis of structural equation model for 283 valid responses. Empirical results show that entrepreneurial orientation positively affects both open innovation and firm's performance. The external oriented organizational culture of firms appears to be positive effects on open innovation, but the effect between the external oriented organizational culture and firm's performance shows no statistical significance. Open innovation have positive effects on firm performance. In addition, a test for mediation effects of open innovation reveals that a full mediation exists between the external oriented organizational culture and firm's performance, while there is a partial mediation effect between entrepreneurial orientation and firm's performance. This study contribute to the literature by deepening understanding on the open innovation. We propose an integrated model for examining antecedent factors, open innovation and performance.

Intangible cultural heritage is a collection of community wisdom and talents and it has artistic and cultural values of the nation. And because it represents an identity of the country, it is an important records information resources that we must be inherited from generation to generation. Korea's intangible cultural heritage system has developed with the aim of preserving and transmission, but now it is necessary to take an creative approach as a resource as a resource for cultural diversity and utilization in an intangible cultural source. Therefore, it is important to maintain systematic management of intangible cultural heritage records information resources in order to continuously preserve, but it is also important to establish a basis for continuous use. The purpose of this study is to propose improvement plans for the archival information services of domestic intangible cultural heritage. We analyzed the status of the archival reference services of intangible cultural heritage institutions in consideration of the characteristics of intangible cultural assets. In-depth interviews were conducted with the responsible person to collect opinions and requirements during the service. We suggested the improvement plans through drawing out implication on problems and direction of archival information services for intangible cultural heritage.

Design becomes a source of new competitive power in the boundless global market so-called globalization. The competitive power in business was lied in the technology in 70's and the design was understood as a styling or graphic means. However, the design has become more important means to get the competitive power in business since 1980. World businesses have found the fact that it has a super competitive power to make the product's performance as well as its dignity rather than it is to determine the product's external view or color. The change of design policy in Phillips, one of the world's leading producers of electronic products, is not much different. Design manager's power was limited until 70's. However, Phillips has focused its business strategy on the higher competitive power since 1980 and they welcomed Robert Blaich, vice president of design and development at Herman Miller Inc., to be a member of the company, expanding the importance of design along with restructure while working on the globalization. Meanwhile, Stefano Marzano, a Senior Director in 90's, established a high design concept, working on the strategic futures to get customer-oriented and for successful commercialization. The vision of the future developed over 3 years until 1996 was to forecast 10 years coming up and create a new value while achieving the business target through the design as an innovative design in bracing for the information network era.
With the advent of a new Korean government, a new national agenda (140 items) was reported. Additionally, Work Plans of the executive bodies were also released, including the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP); the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE); the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF); and the Ministry of Environment (MOE); the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MOLIT). For government-supported research institutes, it will be important to watch and analyze the changes in the government's primary policies and strategic goals. In this paper, we analyzed new governmental research and development (R&D) policy with respect to geoscience and mineral resources technology. The results indicated that the executive bodies emphasized, for the job creating 'creative economy' and the 'safety and integration society', the establishment of the creative economy; science and technology development based on creativity and innovation; creation of new growth engines by fusion and diffusion; construction of stable energy systems; promotion of environmental industry; and creating satisfactory land services. In the area of geoscience and mineral resources technology, it is time to search for a new, creative, and interagency fusion R&D contents to meet the needs of the public and boost its national competitiveness.
