This paper deals with the relations between the quality of life and the life satisfaction of the elderly based on the 2008 national survey data of the actual living condition of the elderly and welfare need. We found that the questions about the quality of life is categorized by three groups such as self consolidation, harmony between generations and hope for later activity, which is the order of the power of the affection to life satisfaction. The result of this paper could be used as a basic document for taking efficient actions for the welfare services to the elderly.

This study aimed to investigate the level of community spirits of residence college freshmen, and the differences in community spirits by life satisfactions of residence college, majors, and family, which were the most intimate interaction objects, under the current circumstance where the importance of the community spirits were emphasized. As the results, the total level of freshmen's community spirits were a bit high with 3.66 of average score. As the results of difference analyses on the level of community spirits by the life satisfaction of family, major and residence college, the students who answered that their life satisfaction by family became lower, and who answered their major and residence college life satisfaction became higher were showed the higher community spirits level. On the bases of those research results, the researcher suggested several alternatives to cultivate community spirits of freshmen in residence college with the concepts of spontaneity and creativity in psychodrama.

Objectives: This study was carried out in order to evaluate the overall process that the caregiving stress of parents of adult children with developmental disabilities affected their life satisfaction through the levels of family resilience, and coping styles on the basis of stress-coping-adaptation model of Lazarus and Folkman(1984). Method: For this purpose, the structured survey was conducted by 394 parents of adult children with developmental disabilities. The data was analysed by AMOS 20.0 version. Results: The findings can be summarized as follows: First, the structural equation model(SEM) analysis was conducted in order to examine the various paths that parents' caregiving stress affected their life satisfaction. The model's goodness-of-fit was fine($x^2=225.20$, df=95, p=000. RMSEA=.06, TLI=.95). There were significant relationships between caregiving stress and family resilience(${\beta}=-.36$, p<.001), emotion-focused coping style(${\beta}=.47$, p<.001), life satisfaction(${\beta}=-.53$, p<.001). Second, family resilience and emotion-focused coping showed mediating effects on the relationship between caregiving stress and life satisfaction. Conclusions: The strategies for enhancing family resilience and social services for applying effective coping methods should be expanded in order to diminish the caregiving stress of parents of adult children with developmental disabilities.

This study was conducted to identify the factors affecting depression in married working women using the results of the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families(2017). The data was analyzed by application of the Rao-Scott 𝜒²-test and t-test to identify the differences in some characteristics between the group with depression and logistic regression with SPSS/WIN 25.0 There were significant differences in feelings for marriage life (p=.003), perceptions of husbands (p<.001), satisfaction with sharing of housework (p=.008), number of children (p=.027). perceived health status (p<.001), smoking (p=.012), monthly average salary (p=.021), and job satisfaction (p=.006). It will be necessary to make efforts within the family that can equally distribute marital-related tasks with their spouses and to improve the individual's perceived health status for the management of depression of married working women. It is also necessary to education on the misconception that smoking helps relieve stress.

Purpose : This study was performed to investigate the satisfaction in the hospice services provided for inpatient families and bereaved families whose members had been admitted to the hospice unit at Kangnam St. Mary's Hospital to improve the quality of care for the terminally ill patients and their families. Methods : This sample consisted of 33 families of hospice patients during the period of April to lune, 1998 and 30 bereaved families whose patients had died from March, 1993 to March, 1998. The data were collected through a self-report questionnaire and analyzed using t-test and ANOVA. Results : 1) The satisfaction level of inpatient families and bereaved families showed the mean value of 3.5 where the highest value is 5.0. 2) According to age, the level of satisfaction of inpatient families had significant differences in the fields of hospice philosophy, support for the family, medical management and nursing management(P=0.0001). The level of satisfaction of bereaved families showed significant differences in the field of support for the family, medical management, nursing management, and facilities of the hospice unit(P=0.0001). 3) By family relationship, the level of satisfaction of inpatient families had significant differences in the fields of hospice philosophy, support for the family, medical management and nursing management (P=0.0001). 4) According to religion, the level of satisfaction of inpatient families had significant differences in the fields of hospice philosophy, support for the family and nursing management (P=0.0001), but there was no significant difference for the bereaved families. Conclusions : The findings of this study showed that hospice services had positive influence on families with terminal disease such as cancer. To improve the level of satisfaction in the hospice services for families with hospice patients, we need to provide care by an interdisciplinary hospice team approach, and to assess needs of the families according to their socio-psychological characteristics. Further studies need to be conducted with large samples.

The purpose of this study is to examine festival visit motivation, satisfaction, loyalty the differences between festival local residents and visitors. Data were collected with a structures questionnaire at the Jun Nam Yeosu-city of Geobuksun of festival during 10$\sim$15 apr. 2007, 430 sample were used for statistical analysis SPSS. Data analysis method were used to Crombach's $\alpha$, reliability, kaiser measurement sample adequacy, factor analysis, t-test, regression analysis. As the results of this research, first, festival visitor's motivation were composed of five factors: a new & escape, exciting & enjoy, socialization, family togetherness, local culture understand and satisfaction were composed of three factors: event program & service, convenience facilities, enjoy, shopping & food, transportation. And second, local residents were found satisfied with the interesting & enjoy. Otherwise, Visitors were satisfied with new & escape. And third, local residents of satisfaction factor were affected interesting & enjoy, Otherwise, visitors of satisfaction factor were affected interesting & enjoy, family togetherness. And fourth, local residents of event program & service factor were affected re-visit, Otherwise, visitors of satisfaction factor were affected event program, enjoy, transportation. The final local residents of event & service factor were affected recommend intension, Otherwise, visitors of event program & service, transportation were affected recommend intension. The result of this paper may help local festival planner and marketers for festival marketing strategy.

This study aimed to examine the model to explain the mediator effect of care evaluation(care stress, care satisfaction) on the effect of stress factors and resource on the psychological well-being of the parents of the adult intellectual disabilities. Examining whether there is a difference between the gender of parents was another aim of this study. Study results showed that with the care stress as an endogenous variable, the daily life function and maladjustment behavior of adult children and the health state of parents had a significant direct effect on the psychological well-being of parents. With care satisfaction as an endogenous variable, family support, expert support and care stress had a significant direct effect. With the psychological well-being as an endogenous variable, care satisfaction and care stress had a significant effect, but the health state of parents didn't. In case of indirect effect, the care stress had a significant mediator effect on the effect of the physical function and maladjustment behavior of adult children and the health state of parents on the psychological well-being of parents. Care satisfaction had a significant mediator effect on the effect of family support, expert support and care stress on the psychological well-being of parents. According to the result of the Multiple Group Analysis, the path showed a statistically significant difference between gender was friend support→care satisfaction, care stress→psychological wellbeing, expert support→care satisfaction. On the basis of the study results, practical suggestions were made.

This study set out to investigate the burden and needs of family members of ICU(Intensive Care Unit) patients facing a crisis situation of a family member being hospitalized in ICU and check their connections. Data were collected from May to October 2013. The subjects include 93 main family caregivers of patients hospitalized in ICU at four general hospitals in the B area for three days or longer. Collected data were put to t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis with the SPSS WIN 20.0 program. As a result, the family members of ICU patients scored mean 3.56 points(out of five) on burden and mean 3.58 points(out of four) on needs, recording a moderate or higher level in both the areas. There was significant difference(F=3.463, p=.036) in burden according to the general characteristics with the number of days in the hospital. There was significant positive correlation(r=.332, p<.001) between their burden and needs. Those findings indicate that an active nursing intervention to reduce the burden of the families of ICU patients in a crisis situation and check their needs will be able to mitigate the family crisis and further have positive influences on the recovery of ICU patients.

Grit is a person's passion and perseverance that drive them to achieve long-term and meaningful goals. The purpose of this study was to identify practical resources that can affect single parents' grit. Using the fourth-year panel data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 (KCYPS 2018), descriptive statistics were produced and a correlation analysis was conducted for 284 single parents. Hierarchical regression analysis was also performed to explore the demographic factors, personal resources(psychological, lifestyle/health), and family resources(family relationships/child, economic) that affect single parents' grit. First, the correlation analysis revealed that single parents' grit had a significant correlation with age, education status, life satisfaction, happiness, self-esteem, smartphone dependency, physical activity time, frequency of breakfast consumption, household size, parent's satisfaction with child's school achievement and school adjustment, subjective family economic status, and private education expenses. Second, the hierarchical regression analysis revealed that education status, self-esteem, employment status, smartphone dependency, physical activity time, household size, parent's satisfaction with child's school achievement, and subjective family economic status were significant factors affecting single parents' grit. Based on the research results, this study suggests directions for programs and policies to provide a stable environment for single-parent families to raise their children.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of visitors' motivation for attending festivals on their participation flow and satisfaction. Empirical researches have been done in order to accomplish the purpose. The results are as follows: First, the more a festival provides its visitors with escape from daily life and its uniqueness, the more their participation flow increases. Second, the attractiveness of the events of a festival and the promotion of intimacy among family members and visitors also lead to the increase of participation flow. Third, intrinsic motivation has more influence over the participation satisfaction of a festival than extrinsic one. Fourth, the degree of participation satisfaction is in direct proportion to that of participation flow. Such results could provide useful strategic findings for persons in charge of planning and arranging festivals.
