Implementation of Intelligent Virtual Character Based on Reinforcement Learning and Emotion Model (강화학습과 감정모델 기반의 지능적인 가상 캐릭터의 구현)

  • Learning and emotions are very important parts to implement intelligent robots. In this paper, we implement intelligent virtual character based on reinforcement learning which interacts with user and have internal emotion model. Virtual character acts autonomously in 3D virtual environment by internal state. And user can learn virtual character specific behaviors by repeated directions. Mouse gesture is used to perceive such directions based on artificial neural network. Emotion-Mood-Personality model is proposed to express emotions. And we examine the change of emotion and learning behaviors when virtual character interact with user.

  • With the 4th Industrial Revolution, VR/AR technology is developing, and since COVID-19, the use of VR/AR technology is increasing and is being used in various environments. In particular, AR technology can be used in various educational fields and the perception of VR in the educational field and learning satisfaction, problem-solving ability, and self-directed learning ability when using VR were analyzed. It was analyzed that perception of VR and learning satisfaction had a significant correlation at the significance level of 0.001, and problem-solving competency had a significant correlation between learning satisfaction and self-directed learning ability at the significance level of 0.05.

Performance Improvement by a Virtual Documents Technique in Text Categorization (문서분류에서 가상문서기법을 이용한 성능 향상)

  • This paper proposes a virtual relevant document technique in the teaming phase for text categorization. The method uses a simple transformation of relevant documents, i.e. making virtual documents by combining document pairs in the training set. The virtual document produced by this method has the enriched term vector space, with greater weights for the terms that co-occur in two relevant documents. The experimental results showed a significant improvement over the baseline, which proves the usefulness of the proposed method: 71% improvement on TREC-11 filtering test collection and 11% improvement on Routers-21578 test set for the topics with less than 100 relevant documents in the micro average F1. The result analysis indicates that the addition of virtual relevant documents contributes to the steady improvement of the performance.

  • 본 연구는 기존의 대면학습체계에서 가상교육체제로 변화되고 있는 새로운 교육 패러다임에 대해 교수자와 학습자가 점진적으로 교육환경 변화에 적응할 수 있도록 유도하기 위한 대안적인 방안으로써 인터넷을 기반 대면학습 지원 시스템 제안 한다. 가상교육체제는 고도의 정보 인프라와 학습자 및 교수자 모두에게 일정수준 이상의 정보기술이 요구되고, 실험실습, 실기교육 등과 같은 참여교육에 제한이 따르며, 교육체제에서 기본적으로 수반되는 비정형적 교수-학습 활동들을 수용하는데 교육컨텐츠 및 운영 시스템에 대한 정교한 설계 및 준비가 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구는 가상교육체제의 문제점과 기존 면대면 학습체제의 보완을 위한 방안으로써 교육체제에서 수반되는 비정형적 교수-학습 활동 요소들을 정보시스템에서 운영이 가능한 정형화 프로그린 및 프로세스로 전환하여 대처할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 본 연구에서 제안한 대면학습 지원시스템은 교수 및 학습 활동에 요구되는 전반적인 자료들을 교수-학습 지원 프로그램 및 프로세스에서 체계적으로 관리 및 운영할 수 있도록 모듈화 하는 방안을 제시하였다.

Analysis of Learning Effects MRI Education Content based on Virtual Reality (가상현실 기반 MRI 교육 콘텐츠 학습효과 분석)

  • In order to overcome practical limitations in installing, managing and operating MRI machines with expensive equipment, this study developed and utilized virtual reality (VR) experience education by combining virtual reality (VR) with magnetic resonance imaging devices. The Students who experienced virtual reality-based educational systems were surveyed to identify possible side effects during the experience and self-directed learning ability and academic self-efficacy surveys were conducted to analyze the impact of virtual reality-based practice on learning. In the analysis of the self-directed learning ability survey there was no difference in the average between the student group who experienced education and the student group who did not but there was a significant difference in the average for each group. Virtual Reality-based practical education is expected to provide an efficient practice system by providing new learning methods and opportunities for education that can be repeated anytime, anywhere regardless of time and space.

  • This study examines the effects of virtual reality learning materials on the learners' learning motivation. For this study, we developed a virtual reality learning material for geological learning that allows observation of the characteristics of rocks in Korean topography that is closely related to learning contents. A 15-hour class was conducted with 91 students using virtual reality learning materials developed for first-year science high school students in D city. ARCS learning motivation strategy was used. Pre-test was conducted before the start of the classes and post-test was conducted after the classes. Statistical processing was analyzed using R-3.5.1 version program. As a result, the utilization of virtual reality learning materials has significant effects on attention concentration, satisfaction, and confidence in the learner's motivation factors. Using virtual reality in geological classes, students' interest in learning activities improve their immersion and concentration, which helps them understand the learning contents better.

  • 웹 코스웨어의 대부분은 2 차원적인 텍스트와 이미지를 이용한 것으로 설계되어 있으나 3 차원의 입체개념 형성이 필요한 입체도형 학습에서는 효과적인 학습이 되기 어렵다. 본 논문은 WWW에서 3차원 가상현실을 적용하여 구현한 웹 코스웨어로 중학생을 위한 입체도형 학습을 주제로 하였다. 2 차원 평면공간에서는 설명하기 어려운 입체도형의 성질을 3 차원의 가상현실의 공간에서 학습자 스스로 다양한 경험을 통해 이를 이해하고 학습의 개별화 요구를 충족시키는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 학습자가 주도적으로 학습을 조작, 진행해 나갈 수 있는 구성주의 학습이론을 기반으로 웹에서 3 차원 가상공간을 제공하는 스크립트 언어인 VRML2.0 을 이용하여 모델링하여 동적인 학습과 상호작용성을 높일 수 있도록 구현하였다.

Development of contents based on virtual environment of basic physics education (기초 물리 교육목적의 가상환경 기반 콘텐츠 개발 및 활용)

  • HMD, which is applied with the latest technology, minimizes motion sickness with high-resolution displays and fast motion recognition, and can accurately track location and motion. This can provide an environment where you can immerse yourself in a virtual three-dimensional space, and virtual reality contents such as disaster simulators and high-risk equipment learning spaces are developing using these characteristics. These advantages are also applicable in the field of basic science education. In particular, expanding the concepts of electric and magnetic fields in physics described by existing two-dimensional data into three-dimensional spaces and visualizing them in real time can greatly help improve learning understanding. In this paper, realistic physical education environments and contents based on three-dimensional virtual reality are developed and the developed learning contents are experienced by actual learning subjects to prove their effectiveness. A total of 46 middle school and college students were taught and experienced in real time the electric and magnetic fields expressed in three dimensions in a virtual reality environment. As a result of the survey, more than 85% of positive responses were obtained, and positive results were obtained that three-dimensional virtual space-based physical learning could be effectively applied.

  • 웹 기반 가상교육의 보편화로 교육 현장에서도 많은 서비스가 제공되고 있다. 웹 기반 가상교육은 시간과 공간에 제약을 받지 않으나 학습자의 학습 활동과 학습 성실도를 파악하기가 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 학습자의 학습행동을 트래킹함으로써 학습자에 대한 수업 성실도를 판단하여 피드백함으로써 학습의 효과를 높이는 목적으로 학습관리시스템을 구현하였다.

  • AI World Cup 환경은 다수 가상 에이전트들이 팀을 이뤄서 서로 상호작용하며 대전이 가능한 가상 축구 환경이다. 본 논문에서는 AI World Cup 환경에서 멀티 에이전트기반 학습/추론 기술을 사용하여 다양한 전략과 전술을 구사하는 가상 축구 에이전트 구현과 시뮬레이션 결과를 소개한다. 먼저, 역할을 바탕으로 협동하여 상대방과 대전할 수 있는 논리 기반 추론형 멀티 에이전트 기술이 적용된 Dynamic planning 축구 에이전트 9 세트를 구현하였다. 이후, 강화학습 에이전트 기반, 단일 에이전트를 조합한 Independent Q-Learning 방식의 학습형 축구 에이전트를 구현한 후, 이를 멀티 에이전트 강화학습으로 확장하여 역할 기반 전략 학습이 가능한 가상 축구 에이전트를 구현하고 시뮬레이션 하였다. 구현된 가상 축구 에이전트들 간 대전을 통해 승률을 확인하고, 전략의 우수성을 분석하였다. 시뮬레이션 예제는 다음에서 확인할 수 있다 (https://github.com/I-hate-Soccer/Simulation).
