Blade Analysis Library Development of Dimension Reducible Modeling and Recovery Analysis for Composite Rotor Blades (복합재 로터 블레이드의 차원축소와 복원해석을 위한 블레이드 해석 라이브러리 개발)

  • In this paper, numerical results of sectional analysis and stress recovery were compared with the results of VABS through the blade analysis library. The results of recovery analysis for one-dimensional model including the stiffness matrix is compared with the calculated three-dimensional stress results of three-dimensionial FEM based on the principle of virtual work. We discuss the configuration of the blade analysis library and compare verifications of numerical analysis results of VABS. Blade analysis library through dimensional reduction and stress recovery is intended to be utilized in conjunction with pre- and post-processing of the analysis program of the composite blade, high-altitude uav's wing, wind blades and tilt rotor blade.

  • A weapon control algorithm equipped on a fighter is closely related to the mission accomplishment and fighter survivability during the engagement. In the case of a air-to-surface missile, the weapon control algorithm typically provides a pilot the target shoot-down possible region known as launch acceptability region(LAR) in the multi function display(MFD). LAR is produced by the range table(RT) through computation of an engagement range. In this paper, the operation system of AGM-84 and AGM-88 air-to-surface missiles is introduced. And the engagement range computation and LAR algorithm based on the real-time pseudo 6-DOF simulation are proposed. In order to verify the performance of the algorithm, numerical engagement simulations of air-to-surface missiles to produce LAR have been done.

Uncertainty Analysis of the Calculated Radioactivity in Liquid Effluent Released as Batch Mode from a Nuclear Power Plant (발전용원자로에서 뱃치방식으로 배출되는 액체상 방사성물질의 방사능 평가결과에 대한 불확도 해석)

  • A series of factors such as sampling, pretreatment measurement, volume estimation which induces uncertainty of the calculated radioactivity in liquid effluent released from a nuclear power plant were analyzed. It is innately impossible to estimate exact error of the calculated radioactivity, since most of the input parameters are determined by a single measurement and true value of the released radioactivity cannot be known. In this paper, a systematic model to calculate uncertainty of the released liquid radioactivity was developed based upon the guidance report published by the ISO in 1993, and the model was applied to a set of hypothetical batch release conditions. As a result, the Priority of each input parameter was turned out to be (1) wastewater volume, (2) sample volume, and (3) measured radioactivity of the sample. In addition, probability distribution of the released radioactivity was simulated by Monte Carlo method combining the probability distribution of each input parameter It was shown that the radioactivity released to the environment, which has been reported as a single value, has a certain form of probability distribution.

  • This paper purports to propose a new logic of 3D information structure, based on the analysis of the features of the existing 3D information structures on the web, especially to help designers establish a proper design process and a guideline. So first it is needed to define the 3D information and 3D information transmission in general and to research the features of them. Next, focusing on the 3D information transmission on the World Wide Web, this paper takes a look at various qualities and related technologies of it, to analyze different forms of 3D information and classify them into some logical types of the information structure. Then the issues of the existing 3D information on WWW can be outlined, and with those results, this paper proposes what logic of information structure it should have to make an effective 3D information transmission.

  • In the car design process, Interior color scheme is one of the important factors that determined consumer's emotional evaluation with a car styling. The systematic research on the car interior color planning may be not achieved in spite of its importance because it is difficult to simulate color scheme before deciding final prototype. The various alternative of color scheme can be simulated and evaluated in early stage of car design process based on upgraded performance of computer hardware and advance41 co-work system. This study proposed a color coordinate support system for car interior color design to support designer based on emotional scale of color image. Color coordinate support system have four kinds of module, that is, the information acquisition module for gathering user's emotional data, the evaluation module for analyzing relation of color impressions and color attributes, the simulation module for supporting color coordinate design, and the evaluation support module for testing final color alternatives.

On the SMART Storytelling Mathematics Education Based on Executable Expressions (실행식(Executable expression) 기반 SMART 스토리텔링 수학교육)

  • Recently, 3S Mathematics Education (Storytelling mathematics education, SMART mathematics education, and STEAM mathematics education) is emphasized. Based on recently published report on Storytelling mathematics textbook, we propose executable expression based SMART storytelling mathematics related to the elementary mathematic curriculum on 3D building blocks. We designed letters and expressions to represent three dimensional shape of 3D building blocks, and we compare its characteristics with that of LEGO blocks. We assert that text-based executable expressions not only construct what students want to make but also teachers can read students thinking process and can support educational help based on students needs. We also present linear function, quadratic function, and function variable concepts using executable expressions based on 3D building block as an example of SMART storytelling mathematics. This research was supported by the collaborated creativity mentoring project between Siheung City and college of education at Seoul National University. We hope designed executable expressions can be used for the development of SMART storytelling mathematics education.

  • An authentication procedure on wired and wireless network will be done based on the registration and management process storing both the user's IP address and client device's MAC address information. However, existent MAC address registration/administration mechanisms were weak in MAC Spoofing attack as the attacker can change his/her own MAC address to client's MAC address. Therefore, an advanced mechanism should be proposed to protect the MAC address spoofing attack. But, existing techniques sequentially compare a sequence number on packet with previous one to distinguish the alteration and modification of MAC address. However, they are not sufficient to actively detect and protect the wireless MAC spoofing attack. In this paper, both AirSensor and AP are used in wireless network for collecting the MAC address on wireless packets. And then proposed module is used for detecting and protecting MAC spoofing attack in real time based on MAC Address Lookup table. The proposed mechanism provides enhanced detection/protection performance and it also provides a real time correspondence mechanism on wireless MAC spoofing attack with minimum delay.

  • Ship autonomous navigation is designated as what computerizes mental faculties possessed of navigation experts, which are building navigation plans, grasping the situation, forecasting the fluctuation, and coping with the situation. An autonomous navigation system, which consists of several subsystems such as navigation system, a collision avoidance system, several data fusion systems, and a motion control system, is based on an intelligent control architecture for the sake of integrating the systems. The motion control system, which is one of the most essential system in autonomous navigation system, controls its propulsion and steering gears to move the ship satisfying its hydrodynamic characteristics. This paper is the study on the ship movement control system and its implementation which are totally developed and run on virtual-world system. Receiving the high-level control values such as a waypoint presented from the collision avoidance system, the motion control system generates them to low-level control values for propulsion and steering devices. In the paper, we develop a ship motion controller using Oldenburger's theory based on mathematical fundamentals, and simulate it with various scenarios in order to verify its performance.

  • The paper proposes a novel unsupervised video object segmentation algorithm for image sequences with low depth-of-field (DOF), which is a popular photographic technique enabling to represent the intention of photographer by giving a clear focus only on an object-of-interest (OOI). The proposed algorithm largely consists of two modules. The first module automatically extracts OOIs from the first frame by separating sharply focused OOIs from other out-of-focused foreground or background objects. The second module tracks OOIs for the rest of the video sequence, aimed at running the system in real-time, or at least, semi-real-time. The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm provides an effective tool, which can be a basis of applications, such as video analysis for virtual reality, immersive video system, photo-realistic video scene generation and video indexing systems.

On-Line Korean Character Recognition by the Stroke Information of Korean Phoneme in Multimedia Terminal (한글 자소의 획 정보에 의한 멀티미디어 단말기에서의 온라인 한글 문자 인식)

  • The Korean character recognition technology for user interface in multimedia terminal requires fast processing time and high recognition rate. In this paper, we propose an phoneme and character recognition technology which uses characteristic information of korean and features of input strokes, i.e, feature point, feature vector, virtual vector, position relation between strokes. And, a recognition both phoneme and character by the various writing types of users uses korean database. The Korean database has been constructed by the characteristic information of korean and phoneme models which have various stroke information. Also, we use successive processing by the position relation between strokes and backtracking processing by the modification processing of stroke numbers which composed of each phoneme. This method reduces the complex processing of phoneme separation. The proposed on-line korean character recognition system has obtained 13msec average character processing time and correct recognition rate more than $95{\%}$ In a recognition experiment, where we tested 600 characters written by 10 people among 1,200 words.
