The Design of Knockout Switch Structure For Improving Performance of Inter- Processor Communication in Mobile Communication System. (이동통신시스템의 프로세서간 통신성능향상을 위한 넉아웃 스위치의 구조설계)

  • There are limitations to process high bandwidth traffic in B-ISDN with mesh- topology single bus architecture of current mobile communication system. And, it is impossible to import ATM switch using fixed length packet rather than variable length packet. Some implementations are able to process variable length packet, but there are some problems such as pre-processing for synchronization and bit delay. In this paper, we design a concentrator that can manipulate variable length packet without additional pre-process. There is on bit delay for packet starting signal in input interface, So it is more efficient to process packets, such that the concentrator can reduce he processing time as $\ulcornerlog2N\lrcorne+1$ bit-time rather than N bit-time delay in ordinary concentrator. It is expected that the mobile communication system with partial mesh topology bus adopting the knockout switch architecture can process high bandwidth traffic in B-ISDN.

  • The switching fabric used to make high speed switching for packet transfer between input and output interface in recent internet environments. Without making any changes in order to remain ATM switching fabric, the existing structures should split/reassemble a packet to certain size, set aside cross-point buffer and will put loads on the system. In this paper, we proposed a new switch architecture, which has separated data memory plane and switching plane packet data will be stored on the separate memory structure and simultaneously only the part of the memory address pointers can pass the switching fabric. The small mini packets which have address pointer and basic information would be passed through the switching fabric. It is possible to achieve the remarkable switching performance than other switch fabrics with contending variable length packets.

  • With the advent of future mobile communication systems, the wireless transmission of the huge amount of multimedia data over the error-prone multipath fading channel has to overcome the inherent sensitivity to channel errors. To alleviate the effect of the channel errors, hosts of techniques based on the forward error correction(FEC) has been proposed at the cost of overhead rate. Among the FEC techniques, turbo code, whose performance has been shown to be very close to the Shannon limit, can be classified as a block-based error correction code. In this paper, considering the variable packet size of the multimedia data, we analyzed turbo codes employing the variable-sized interleaver. The effect of the various parameters on the BER performance is analyzed. We show that the turbo codes can be used as efficient error correction codes of multimedia data.

  • A semidynamic frequency divide-by-1.5 MMIC comprises a tunable polyphase filter, tunable image-rejection mixer, and a static divide-by-2 in the feedback path. Wideband suppression of unwanted tones is achieved by employing a tunable image-rejection mixer and a tunable single-stage polyphase filter. Implemented in GaInP/GaAs HBT technology, the divide-by-1.5 MMIC operates over the input frequency range of 4.5 to 9.2 GHz with better than -20 dBc suppressions of $1/3{\times}f_{in}\;and\;f_{in}$ tones, while dissipating 29 mA from 4.1 V supply.

  • This paper deals with the problem of estimating the asymptotic stability region(ASR) of uncertain variable structure systems with bounded control. Using linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) we estimate the ASR and we show the exponential stability of the closed-loop control system in the estimated ASR. We show that our estimate is always better than the estimate of [3].

  • 위상이 불규칙적으로 변하는 RZ와 NRZ 신호에 대하여 전력 밀도 스펙트럼을 구하였고 신호의 펄스폭 점유율은 가변으로 하였다. 이때 불규칙 위상의 확률분포는 구간 내에서 일정하다고 가정한다. 단극성 지터없는 신호는 입력된 신호의 기본 주파수의 정수배마다 스펙트럼의 이산성분이 존재하며 이 것은 데이터를 찾기 위한 타이밍 신호로써 이용된다. 그러나 지터가 유입되는 경우에는 이 이산 신호성 분이 점차 감소하게 되며, 균일한 확률 분포를 갖는 지터의 경우는 완전히 소멸하였음을 확인하였다.

  • 시스템의 모델링 과정에서 발생될 수 있는 불확실성(uncertainty) 혹은 미지의 가반중량을 비롯한 외란에 의해 발생되는 불확실성 등을 갖고있는 로봇의 강건 추적제어기 설계를 위해 가변구조시스템(variable structure system) 이론을 적용하였다. 시스템 방정식과 연계하여 슬라이딩 모드가 존재하기 위한 조건을 구했으며, 입력 에 대한 불확실성은 매칭조건(matching condition)을 가정하여 다루었다. 기존의 방법에 비해 제어기 설계과정이 간단 명료하며 요구되는 궤적에 대한 추적제어 효과 또한 매우 우수함을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 입증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 슬라이딩 평면에 도달 조건을 이용하여 균일한 계단 반응을 얻을 수 있는 퍼지 슬라이딩 모드 제어기 설계방법을 제시한다. 슬라이딩 평면에 도달할 조건을 퍼지 논리로 설계하여 과도한 입력이 플랜트에 가해지지 않도록 비선형 제어기를 설계한다. 슬라이딩 평면 도달 속도의 가변 조건을 퍼지화 하여 퍼지슬라이딩 모드 제어기를 설계한다. 각각의 제어기에 대하여 고주파 공진이 있는 2차 강성 모델에 대하여 모의 실험을 실시하여 그 특성을 비교하였다.

  • In this paper, an improved method for tracking maneuvering target is proposed. The proposed tracking filter is constructed by combining the input estimation approach with the variable dimension filtering approach. In this approach, the filter also provides the estimated time instant at which target starts maneuver, when the target maneuver is detected. Using this estimated maneuvering time, the maneuver input is estimated and the tracking system changes to the maneuver model. Simulations are performed to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed tracking filter.

  • Through high level synthesis, designers can obtain the precious information on the area and speed trade-offs as well as synthesized datapaths from behavioral design descriptions. While previous researches were concentrated on the synthesis of pipelined, datapaths with fixed DII (Data Initiation Interval) by inserting delay elements where needed, we propose a novel methodology of synthesizing pipeline structures with variable DIIs. Determining the time-overlapping of pipeline stages with variable DIIs, the proosed algorithm performs scheduling and module allocation using the time-overlapping information. Experimental results show that significant improvement can be achieved both in speed and in area.
