Border Guard/Reconnaissance Communication Terminal for Providing Variable Frame Structure and Method for Altering the Frame Structure (가변 프레임 구조를 지원하는 국경 감시/정찰용 통신 단말 및 프레임 구조 가변 방법)

  • This paper is about the implementation of the OFDM-based border guard/reconnaissance communication terminal systems. We have implemented Real-time Dynamic DL/UL symbol rate control function using the DL-MAP message, and proposed error detection method caused by malfunctioning and timing optimization method. The proposed scheme detects the variable rate symbol decoding timing without increasing additional physical layer logic, and also provides a wide variety of DL/UL data transfer rate. Furthermore, the proposed scheme applies to the current border guard/reconnaissance equipment and confirms a operation performance through field tests and demonstration at home and abroad.

  • The design concept of varaiable structure control is useful not only to stochasic systems but also to adaptive control systems. The Dynamic equation of vertical three linkage robot was derived. And it was simplyfied according to the scheme of control strategy. And we specify the form of model. Thereafter the error dynamic equation was derived between the real state of the plant and state of the model. Some simulations were performed to control robot manipulator applying the methodology of the variable structure model following adaptive control.

Compact Tunable Bandstop Filter Using DOS Section (DGS 구조를 이용한 소형 가변 대역 억제 필터)

  • In this paper, RF varactor diode are applied to the design of miniaturized and tunable bandstop filter. The proposed bandstop filter is based on a Defected Ground Structure(DGS) section topology. The designed tunable bandstop filter can achieve a significant size reduction by with loading capacitance component of varactor diode. It is observed from the measured results that the proposed tunable bandstop filter shows a wide tuning range of 42.9 % from 1.01 GHz to 1.99 GHz. The rejection level in the stopband is higher as the number of DGS section increases. In case of the proposed tunable bandstop filter with two DGS sections, the rejection level of the filter is better than 20 dB in the stopband during the tuning. In this case, the maximum insertion loss in the lower passband is 0.5 dB.

  • In this paper, a new variable active inductor using a conventional grounded active inductor with feedback variable LC-resonator is proposed. The grounded active inductor is realized by the gyrator-C topology and the variable LC-resonator is realized by the low-Q spiral inductor and varactor. This variable LC-resonator can compensate the degradation of Q-factor due to parasitic capacitance of a transistor, and the frequency range with high Q-factor is adjustable by resonance frequency adjustment of LC-resonator. The fabricated variable active inductor with Magnachip $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process shows that high-Q frequency range can be adjusted according to varactor control voltage from 4.66 GHz to 5.45 GHz and Q-factor is higher than 50 in the operating frequency ranges. The measured inductance at 4.9GHz can be controlled from 4.12 nH to 5.97 nH by control voltage.

Parametric Study on the tendency of Stiffness Variation using Variable Stiffness Mechanism (변수변화에 따른 가변강성 메커니즘의 강성변화 경향성에 관한 연구)

  • In general, a system can be stable when it is designed with a rigid material. However, the use of a rigid system can be limited, such as grasping a glass or using a small surgical instrument. To resolve this limitation, a variable stiffness mechanism was developed using a flexible material. Previous research verified the variable stiffness mechanism where flexible segments and rigid segments were connected alternately in series. However, research into the design parameters of the variable stiffness structure is needed to satisfy the desired stiffness. Therefore, a variable stiffness structure was tested by varying the design parameters to confirm the trend of the stiffness variation. When the radius of the structure becomes larger, the stiffness increases. The stiffness increased with decreasing length of the flexible segments. Under the same design parameters, the length of the flexible segments had a greater effect on the stiffness than the length of the rigid segments. In addition, the stiffness was estimated using the pseudo rigid body model and was compared with the experimental results. This parametric study can be used as a design guideline for designing the variable stiffness mechanism to satisfy the desired stiffness.

Design of a Variable half rate speech codec (가변율 half rate 음성 부호화기의 설계)

  • 본 논문에서는 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 위해 가변율 half rate 음성 부호화기를 설계하였다. 유, 무성음과 묵음의 구분을 위해 본 논문에서는 프레임 에너지와 음성 파라메터들을 이용한 효과적인 voicing 결정 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 유성음을 위한 half rate 음성 부호화기는 저속에서 좋은 특성을 보이는 generalized AbS구조를 이용하였다. LPC 계수는 LSP 계수로 변환한 후 predictive 2-stage VQ를 통해서 양자화하며, 여기 신호는 음질저하를 최소화하며 복잡도를 감소시킨 shift 방식의 대수적 고정 코드북 구조를 사용하고, 적응코드북과 여기코드북의 이득은 VQ로 양자화 하였다. 무성음을 위한 부호화기는 대부분이 유성음을 위한 부호화기와 동일하지만, 무성음에서는 피치간 상관도가 매우 낮으므로 피치 보간 방법을 사용하지 않고 개루프로 피치 lag를 찾은 후 전체 프레임에 사용한다. 1 kb/s 부호화기는 묵음 구간과 주변소음 구간에 사용되며 이 구간의 신호를 피치 성분이 미약한 주변소음들로 제한하고 이에 최적인 부음성 부호화기를 설계하였다. 최종적으로 완성된 가변율 half rate 부호화기는 voice activity factor(VAF)가 0.47인 시험음성에서 약 2.6 kb/s의 평균 전송률을 보였다. 주관적 음질 평가의 일환으로 IS-96 표준 코덱인 가변율 8 kb/s QCELP와 A-B preference 시험을 실시하였다. 시험 결과 평균전송률이 약 2배인 가변율 8 kb/s QCELP 보다 우수한 음질 성능을 보였다.

Threshold Neural Network Model for VBR Video Trace (가변적 비디오 트랙을 위한 임계형 신경망 모델)

  • This paper shows modeling methods for VBR video trace. It is well known that VBR video trace is characterized as longterm correlated and highly intermittent burst data. To analyze this, we attempt to model it using neural network with auxiliary linear structures derived from residual threshold. For testing purpose, we generate VBR video trace from chaotic nonlinear function combined with the geometric random noise. The modeling result of the generated data shows that the attempted method represents more accurately than the traditional neural network. However, we also found that combining hRU to the attempted modeling method can yield a closer agreement to statistical features of the generated data than the attempted modeling method alone.

  • 본 논문은 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 가변속 운전을 위한 가변 비례공진 전류 제어 기법을 제안한다. 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 전류 제어 시 3상 교류 전동기에 널리 적용되는 벡터 제어를 적용할 경우, 필연적으로 좌표변환 및 가상의 q축 성분 생성을 위한 과정이 요구된다. 하지만, 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 구조적인 특징을 고려하여 비례공진 제어 기법을 적용하게 되면 3상 교류 시스템에서 필요로 하는 추가적인 좌표변환 과정이 요구되지 않는다. 이에 본 논문에서는 가변속 운전에 따른 공진 주파수 변화를 반영한 가변 비례공진 전류제어 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안한 전류 제어 기법의 효용성을 검증하기 위해 다수의 실험을 진행하였다.

A Study on Warrant Rearrangement Using Efficiency Analysis of Reversible Lane (가변차로제 효율성분석을 통한 설치기준 재설정에 관한 연구)

  • To solve the urban traffic congestion problem, Seoul and other major cities have operated the reversible lanes as Transportation Systems Manage-ment(TSM) method since 1981. However, few studies have been conducted to measure the effectiveness of reversible lane implementation and operation, and the reversible lanes have been implemented based on the experiential warrants rather than the study-based warrants. In this Paper the effect of reversible lanes operation has been analyzed by using the average delay and the fuel consumption. Four factors such as in and out flow of directional v/c, the ratio of directional volume, the number of reversible lanes and left-turn treatment(prohibition of LTs or protected LTs) were used to estimate the implementation effect of reversible lane operation by using TRANSYT-7F simulation package. In the case of six-lane urban arterial, the lower ratio of directional volume was found to warrant the reversible lanes when the simulation-based method was applied compared with the current experiential warrants.
