Design of path-finding algorithm using dynamic turn heuristic (가변적인 턴 휴리스틱을 이용한 경로탐색 알고리즘의 설계)

  • It needs to consider of turns during a path-finding on real road network. Because a car is delayed by waiting a traffic signal and decreasing speed when drived in a turn road such as cross road and slip road. If a straightness of a path is increased, a real cost of traveling should be able to decrease. An older method, the algorithm with Turn Heuristic, considered of this case. The algorithm, that differently gave weights to left, right and U-turns, improved a straightness of a path, but increased a cost of exploring. In this paper, we propose a improved Turn Heuristic Algorithm. Proposed algorithm uses Dynamic Turn Heuristic. It is able to more decrease a cost of exploring than older method by using the Turn Heuristic in a part of path-finding.

  • Ad Hoc 네트워크에서 on demand 라우팅 프로토콜로 대표적인 AODV(Ad Hoc On Demand Distance Vector Routing)는 table driven 기반의 라우팅 프로토콜과 비교해 active route만을 라우팅 테이블에 저장하기 때문에 오버헤드가 작고 경로단절시 경로복구를 통해 경로 재설정할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있으나 경로복구시 대역폭 낭비가 심하고 복구시간이 길다는 drawback을 가지고 있다. 이러한 단점은 많은 라우팅 패킷의 발생으로 기인하는 점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 Expanding Ring Search 알고리즘에서 time out은 timestamp를 이용하여 네트워크 상황에 맞게 가변적으로 적용하는 알고리즘을 개선하여 hop 수에 따라 node traversal time을 설정하도록 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하였으며 라우팅 패킷의 발생을 줄이고 throughput에서 향상을 보였다.

Secondary Path Estimation Algorithm Based on Residual Music Canceller for Noise Cancelling Headphone (노이즈 캔슬링 헤드폰에 적합한 잔여 음악 제거기 기반의 2차 경로 추정 알고리즘)

  • An active noise control (ANC) algorithm for noise canceling headphone is proposed. In this study, the feedback ANC operated with the filtered-x least mean square algorithm (FxLMS) algorithm is used to attenuate the undesired noise. Also an adaptive residual music canceller (RMC) is proposed for enhancing the accuracy of the reference signal of the feedback ANC. Simulation results show that a high quality of music sound can be consistently achieved in a time-varying secondary path situation.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크는 개방된 환경에서 무작위로 배치되어 악의적인 공격자들에게 쉽게 노출된다. 센서 노드는 한정된 에너지 자원과 손쉽게 훼손된다는 단점을 통해 허위 보고서와 투표 삽입 공격이 발생한다. Li와 Wu는 두 공격을 대응하기 위해 확률적 투표기반 여과기법을 제안하였다. 확률적 투표기반 여과기법은 고정적인 검증 경로를 결정하기 때문에 특정 노드의 에너지 자원고갈 위험이 있다. 본 논문에서는 센서 네트워크에서 보고서 여과 확률 향상을 위하여 퍼지 시스템을 기반으로 다음 노드 선택을 약 6% 효율적인 경로 선택 방법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 전달 경로 상의 노드 중 상태정보가 높은 노드를 검증 노드로 선택하고, 선택된 검증 노드는 허용 범위 경계 값을 기준으로 공격 유형을 판별하고 여과한다. 실험결과를 통해 제안기법은 기존기법과 비교하였을 때 에너지 효율이 향상되었다.

Evaluation of Urban Freeway Traffic Management Strategies Using Variable Message Signs (도시고속도로 교통류 관리를 위한 가변전광판 정보 제공 방안 평가)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate traffic management strategies using Variable Message Signs(MCS) on urban freeways. It is well known that real-time information on traffic conditions increases driver's comfort, and reduces the risks of accidents if drivers are aware of the traffic situation in advance, they decide whether to divert from the freeway or continue on the planned route. The experimental data collected on the Olympic highway we have shown the following results : 1. when the information on both the congested freeway and uncontested diversion route is displayed on the variable message sign. an additional 1.7 percent of traffic diverted, which results in a 3.7 percent reduction in total travel time. 2 Compared with one Proposed VMS message of 'reduce the speed', the other Proposed VMS message of 'keep speed 70km/h' is found to be much more effective in reducing mean speed.

  • A new controller which can achieve the asymptotic tracking is proposed for the nonlinear system having a uncertainty in the input coefficient. A high gain observer is used to estimate the state variables when the nonlinear system has a modeling uncertainty. A variable structure control is used to achieve an asymptotic tracking, while ultimate boundness was achieved in the previous work. A Lyapunov analysis is used to justify the our proposal. The performance of proposed method is demonstrated via simulation.

  • In general, materials that can be used to form elastic pads, such as urethane and rubber, are often used in flexible forming processes by inserting the pads between a blank and flexible die for smoothing the forming surface that is formed by a reconfigurable die. In this study, the effects of the elastic pad on formability in the flexible forming process for sheet metals are investigated by performing numerical simulations. In the simulation, the hyperelastic material model is used, where the urethane elastic pads serve as elastic cushions. Case studies are carried out for elastic materials with different hardness values and thicknesses. The results are used to evaluate formability by comparing the configuration of the deformed blank and its major cross-sectional profiles. It is verified that the elastic pad used in the flexible forming process for sheet materials should be hard and that its thickness should be chosen appropriately.

  • The proposed variable pawer divider in this paper is composed of one equal power 2-way Wilkinson power divider, two variable phase shifters with 90-degree phase variation to be connected two output paths of the 2-way power divider, and one branchline coupler to combine output signals of two variable phase shifter. The proposed variable power divider can theoretically have an arbitrary power division ratio ranging from ${\infty}:1$ to ${\infty}:1$ due to 90-degrees phase variation of two phase shifter. The proposed power divider circuit fabricates on laminated TLX-9(h=20 mil, er=2.5; Taconic) with a center frequency of 1.7 GHz. The power division ratio of the fabricated prototype varies from about 1:100 to 200:1, with an input reflection characteristic(S11) of below -16 dB, an insertion loss of about -1.0 dB, and an isolation characteristic of below -17 dB between two output ports in the range 1.65-1.75 GHz.

  • The path search method in the telematics system should consider traffic flow of the roads as well as the shortest time because the optimal path with minimized travel time could be continuously changed by the traffic flow. The existing path search methods are not able to cope efficiently with the change of the traffic flow. The search method to use traffic information also needs more computation time than the existing shortest path search. In this paper, a method for efficiency improvement of path search is implemented and its performance is evaluated. The method employs the fixed grid for adjustable heuristic to traffic flow. Moreover, in order to simplify the computation of estimation values, it only adds graded decimal values instead of multiplication operation of floating point numbers with due regard to the gradient between a departure and a destination. The results obtained from the experiments show that it achieves the high accuracy and short execution time as well.

Rapid Acquisition of m-sequence Signals by Sequential Estimation with Flexible Structure (가변구조를 갖는 순차 예측 방법을 이용한 m 계열 신호의 고속 포착)

  • This paper analyzes a sequential estimator with flexible structure for rapid acquisition of the m-sequence signals. If the received PN chips stored in the estimator's internal registers as initial loading values include one error, this chip with error can be corrected through multiple local PN code generators to achieve high-speed acquisition performance. Hamming distance between regenerated local PN codes from the proposed system and received PN code is compared with given threshold to choose a possible correct path and to declare success of the code acquisition. Using signal flow graph, average acquisition time that depends on detection and false alarm probability is calculated. By modifying generally used matched filter structure for PN code acquisition, the proposed system provides flexible structure and rapid acquisition process.
