The purpose of this study is to develop the feasibility of movable partition wall components that are able to correspond changes of structure system and spatial configuration by the needs of residents for the activation of long-life housing. The key element of various movable partition wall components, a movable partition wall, was analyzed for problems through both as-is analysis and field installation in Korea and Japan, and then its feasibility was verified. The movable partition wall can break the uniformity of a fixed one, can integrate and separate limited space by changes in the demands of residents, can be easy to separate, and can be independent. The development of the movable partition wall is important for the realization of diverse residential space, ease of remodeling, environment adaptation, promotion of modularization, etc. It is comprised of surfacing materials, core materials, structural materials, and movable parts. The domestic movable partition wall was verified regarding the feasibility of an apartment house through on-site inspections and sound insulation tests by KOHP21, KICT. In conclusion, the construction of long-life housing that has sustainable values in the use of housing is nationally an important assignment, so as to secure good housing stock.

This study aims to develop a detachable 'Infill Components' applicable to open housing. Recently, the need for innovative housing methods is increasing because of the environmental preservation issues and the need for favorable housing stock resulting from the increased housing supply ratio. In order to maintain favorable housing stock, there has to has a to be a shift from typical plans and construction methods for mass production to those with some identity, which may satisfy various needs of dwellers. In this light, the Ramen structure has become popular owing to the growth of remodelling market, and construction companies tend to adopt flexible type multi-family housings to increase sales by appealing to their customers. However, there are few domestic studies on the Infill components for the change of structure. As a result, further studies may have to be based on the case study. The purpose of this research is to provide fundamentals for the development of infill components corresponding to the structural change, especially for the development of partition walls that can be easily moved by dwellers. By reviewing problem of construction, arrangement of the movable partition wall system and door system which has within wring in the first Experimental Open Housing in Korea at KICT(KOHP21), this research provides the fundamentals for developing a movable partition wall acceptable to the dwellers who may want to remodel the interior to meet the needs of themselves.

Skeleton/Infill Housing in Japan was developed in 1979 in order to provide a solution to the modem problem of the need to flexibly respond to diversified demands for housing, and to establish a social basis of housing as public housing complexes are realized. In this system, the "skeleton" like building structure, which has a social nature, is separated from "infill" such as interior furnishings, which have more individuality, The public body was the unified supplier of the skeleton, and the private sector satisfied each household's needs in tenus of infill using a demander participation approach, Today however, Skeleton/Infill Housing is required to solve an entirely new housing problem, necessitating a dramatic change of infill. For this reason, this study aims to clear the infill within the system and propose a more flexible system which can provide appropriate information to improve the infill.
