RF 플라즈마를 이용한 순수 바나늄 분말의 구상화 거동 연구 (Spheroidization of Pure-vanadium Powder using Radio Frequency Thermal Plasma Process)

  • In the present work, spheroidization of angular vanadium powders using a radio frequency (RF) thermal plasma process is investigated. Initially, angular vanadium powders are spheroidized successfully at an average particle size of $100{\mu}m$ using the RF-plasma process. It is difficult to avoid oxide layer formation on the surface of vanadium powder during the RF-plasma process. Titanium/vanadium/stainless steel functionally graded materials are manufactured with vanadium as the interlayer. Vanadium intermediate layers are deposited using both angular and spheroidized vanadium powders. Then, 17-4PH stainless steel is successfully deposited on the vanadium interlayer made from the angular powder. However, on the surface of the vanadium interlayer made from the spheroidized powder, delamination of 17-4PH occurs during deposition. The main cause of this phenomenon is presumed to be the high thickness of the vanadium interlayer and the relatively high level of surface oxidation of the interlayer.

  • This paper introduces a new approach to consider the bending history in finite element inverse analysis of the cylindrical cup drawing. A modified membrane element is adopted to add the bending-unbending energy to the total plastic energy on the bending-unbending region predicted from the geometry of the final shape and tools. The algorithm suggested was applied to a cylindrical cup deep drawing process. The blank shape and the distribution of the thickness strain are compared with those obtained from incremental finite element analysis. The comparison demonstrates the algorithm proposed reduces the difference between the results from inverse analysis and those from incremental analysis when the bending history is considered.

  • Mobile의 기술발달과 보편화에 따라 소비자들은 Mobil이 자기 개성 표현인 액세서리화되고, 더욱 감성적이고 차별화된 디자인을 요구함에 따라, 기업들은 이런 소비자들의 개성화 감성화의 니즈를 표면처리 디자인 기술로 효율적으로 적용해 소비자의 감성만족을 시키려 하고 있다. 국내외 Mobile 시장에서 Metal Case 외장의 2차원적인 디자인패턴은 다양한 표면처리 가공 접근이 용이하지 못하고, 패턴디자인의 한계에 이르렇다. E/F(INLET)의 도금 가공 기술의 Concept은 "원활한 모재의 제품 박리성" 에 있으나, 역발상으로 "Metal 모재와의 밀착성"으로 제품디자인을 구현하여, 제품의 도금 두께층 및 신뢰성 기술 확보함으로, 표면층에 사진, 그림, 인물 풍경, 자연물이미지 등의 다양한 감성디자인패턴의 구현이 가능해졌다. 산업기술자원부의 디자인혁신센터로 중소기업디자인개발 지원을 위해 설립된 중앙대학교 디자인경영센터와 SR I-TECH의 기술력으로 3차원 감성디자인패턴을 개발하게 되었다.

  • An inverse finite element approach is employed for more capability to design the optimum blank shape from the desired final shape with small amount of computation time and effort. In some drawing or stamping simulation with inverse method, it is difficult to apply inverse scheme due to the large aspect ratio or steep vertical angle of inclination. The reason is that initial guesses are hard to make out with present method for those cases. In this paper, a direct mesh marring scheme to generate initial guess on the sliding constraint surface described by finite element patches is suggested for one step inverse analysis to calculate initial blank shape. Radial type mapping is adopted for the simulation of rectangular cup drawing process with large aspect ratio and parallel type mapping for the simulation of S-Rail forming process with steep vertical angle of inclination.

  • An inverse finite element approach is employed to efficiently design the optimum blank shape and intermediate shapes from the desired final shape in multi-stage elliptic cup drawing processes. The multi-stage deep-drawing process is difficult to design with the conventional finite element analysis since the process is very complicate with the conventional finite element analysis since the process is very complicated with intermediate shapes and the numerical analysis undergoes the convergence problem even with tremendous computing time. The elliptic cup drawing process needs much effort to design sine it requires full three-dimensional analysis. The inverse analysis is able to omit all complicated and tedious analysis procedures for the optimum process design. In this paper, the finite element inverse analysis provides the thickness strain distribution of each intermediate shape through the multi-stage analysis. The multi-stage analysis deals with the convergence among intermediate shapes and the corresponding sliding constraint surfaces that are described by the analytic function of merged-arc type surfaces.

균열 성장 지연현상에 대한 연구 (Study for Retardation Phenomenon)

  • In this study, in order to analyze the crack retardation behaviors, effective plastic zone concept was proposed. By use of the proposed concept, crack retardation period, compressive residual stress and variation of effective plastic zone shapes were obtained. The results were compared with those of Willenborg model. Retardation period, compressive residual stress and effective plastic zone size obtained by using effective plastic zone concept were larger then the results obtained by using Willenborg analysis. Effective stress intensity factors obtained by using effective plastic zone concept were smaller then the results obtained by using Willenborg analysis.

  • For improving the motion accuracy of hydrostatic table, corrective machining algorithm is proposed in this paper. The algorithm consists of three main processes. Reverse analysis is performed firstly to estimate rail profile from measured linear and angular motion error, in the algorithm. For the next step, correctwe machining information is decided as referring to the estimating rail profile. Finally, motion errors on correctively machined rail are analized by using motion error analysls method proposed in the previous paper. These processes can be rtcrated if the analized motion errors are worse than target accuracy. In order to verify the validity of the algorithm theoretically, motion errors by the estimated rail after corrective machining are compared with motion errors by true rail assumed as the measured value. Estimated motion errors show good agreement with assumed values, and it is confirmed that the algorithm IS effective to acquire the corrective machming information to improve the accuracy of hydrostatic table.

역극성시 금속수지복합체와 세라믹수지복합체의 형상방전가공 특성

  • Conductive Ceramic Matrix Composite(CMC) of TIC/Al2O3 and Metal Matrix Composite (MMC) of SiC/Al were experienced by the die sinking Electrical Discharge Machining(EDM) for different current and duty factor according to negative polarity. Inthis experimental study Material Removal Rate(MRR) maximum surface roughness four point bending stress distribution and Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM) Photographs were analysed. the higher MRR was obtained for CMC than MMC but slowly decreased around duty factor of 0.67 for MMC and better surface morphology was found CMC than MMC. The SEM photographs of discharge traces for CMC showe uniform shape about 100 to 200${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in diameter but MMC showed irregular shape.
