알루미늄 원통컵 스피닝 작업을 위한 롤러이송경로 설계 (Design of roller path for spinning of cylindrical cups of aluminum sheet metal)

  • Spinning is a chipless forming method for producing axially symmetric parts by using axial-radial motions of a spinning roller. This process has still some advantages in such a view point that a variety of complex shapes which can not be formed in a press can be easily spun at a low cost although it is one of the oldest forming methods for spinning mainly cookware parts for a long time. This study is to investigate the optimum roller path in order to obtain the maximum spinnability in producing cylindrical cups of Aluminum(A1050-H16) sheet metal. Working conditions applicable to any size of blank were predetermined through preliminary spinning tests. 9 types of roller path were proposed and experiments were carried out. The modified involute curve was shown to give the maximum drawing ration and more uniform quality of spun cups as compared with other results of this study. in addition thickness distribution and dimensional accuracy of spun cups were examined and discussed.

공구경로 변화에 따른 고속 볼 엔드밀 가공에서 경사면의 특성(I) (Characteristics of Inclined Plane Constructed by High speed Ball End Milling according to the Variation of Cutting Direction(I))

  • The study of the high speed machining of inclined plane using ball end mill is performed. The use of ball end mill is rapidly growing in die and mold manufacturing. The cutting characteristics, such as cuttin g force, surface roughness and surface profile, are varied according to the variation of cutting directions. Free surface is cut using ball end mill, the surface profile is greatly varied depending upon the cutting direction. So this study will deal with the characteristics of cutting such as cutting efficiency according to the inclined plane of the workpiece, the cutting force according to tool path, surface profile and the roughness of surface. The optimal cutting direction to be applied the cutting for 3-D sculptured surfaces can be show through the results of this study.

  • This paper presents rough cutting pat고 drilling. This method has differences from conventional method which uses boundary curve by intersecting object to machine and each cutting plane. Die-cavity shape is drilled in z-map, we select various tool and remove much material in the short time. as a result, this method raise productivity. The major challenges in die-cavity pocketing include : 1)finding an inscribed circle for removing material of unmachined regions, 2) selecting optimal tool and efficiently arranging tool, 3) generating offset surface of shape, 4) determining machined width according to the selected tool, 5) detecting and removing unmachined regions, and 6) linking PJE(path-joining element). Conventional machining method calling contour-map is compared with drilling method using Z-map, for finding efficiency in the view of productivity.

  • 본 연구에서는 필렛엔드밀을 이용하여 복합곡면을 가공하기 위한 새로운 접근방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 "곡선기반 접근방법"으로 기존의 "점기반 접근방법"에 비하여 몇 가지 특징들을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 다면체로 표현된 곡면을 대상으로 하고 있는데, 볼록한 모서리와 꼭지점에서는 정확히 옵셋시키고 오목한 부위에서는 옵셋 곡면이 겹치는 것을 허용한다. 옵셋된 곡면을 절단 평면으로 자르고, 같은 평면상에 있는 교선 중에서 겹치는 부분의 윗 부분을 택하면 공구 간섭이 제거된 공구 경로를 얻게된다. 즉 계산이 복잡한 오목지역에서의 옵셋 시 발생되는 간섭을 2차원 평면상에서 제거함으로써 계산 과정을 단순화시키고 안정적으로 만든다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법은 PC에서 VC++로 구현되었으며 몇 가지 적용 예를 보여 주고 있다.

공구간섭과 절삭성을 고려한 자유 곡면의 4, 5축 NC 가공을 위한 공구 경로 산출 (Interference-Free Tool Path with High Machinability for 4- and 5-Axes NC Machining of Free-Formed Surfaces)

  • NC machines with 4 or 5 axes are capable of various tool approach motions, which makes interference-free and high machinablity machining possible. This paper deals with how to integrate these two advantages (interference-free and high machinability machining) in multi-axes NC machining with a ball-end mill. Feasible tool approach region at a point on a surface is first computed, then among which an approach direction is determined so as to minimize the cutting force required. Tool and spindle volumes are considered in computing the feasible tool approach region, and the computing time is improved by trans-forming surface patches into minimal enclosing spheres. A cutting force prediction model is used for estimating the cutting force. The algorithm is developed so as to be applied to 4- or 5-axes NC machining in common.

  • In this paper, laser direct micromaching is developed to fabricate micro patterns using UV laser ( λ$_3$= 355 nm). Experimentally, laser beam paths mainly influences the surface shape quality. Thus. we proposed laser beam path generator by extracting shape data in a blueprint worked through CAD modeler and using genetic algorithm that considers the characteristics of laser beam. The results show that various shapes of micro patterns could be manufactured using proposed method in this paper.

  • This paper presents an efficient real-time tool-path planning method for interpolation of NURBS surfaces in CNC machining. The proposed tool-path planning method is based on an improved iso-scallop strategy and can provide better precision than the existing methods. The proposed method is designed such that tool-path planning is easily managed in realtime. It proposed a new algorithm, for regulation of a scallop height, which can efficiently generate tool-paths and can save machining time compared with the existing method. Through computer simulations, the performance of the proposed method is analyzed and compared with the existing method in terms of feedrate. total machining time and a degree of constraint on the scallop height.

옥트리를 이용한 황삭 가공경로생성 (Tool Path Generation for Rough Cutting Using Octree)

  • Rouge cutting process takes the major portion of machining operation using NC milling machine. Especially, most of the machining time is spent in this process when molds are machined. Therefore, an efficient algorithm for generating the tool path for rough cutting is suggested in this paper. The first step of the procedure is getting the volume to be machined by applying the Boolean operation on the finished model and the workpiece which have been modeling system. Basic principle of determining machining procedure is that a large tool should be used at the portion of the simple shape while a small tool should be used at the complex portion. This principle is realized by representing the volume to be machined by an octree, which is basically a set of hexahedrons, and matching the proper tools with the given octants. When the tools are matched with the octants, the tool path can be derived at the same time.

  • This paper proposes a tool path generation method for machining impellers with 5-axis machining center. The shape of impeller is complex, being composed of pressure surface, suction surface and leading edge, and so on. The compound surface which is made of ruled surface such as pressure surface and suction surface and leading edge such as fillet surface, makes the tool path generation much complicated. To achieve efficient roughing, cutting area is divided into two region and then tool radius of maximum size that do not cause tool intereference is selected for shortening machining time. In finishing, accuracy is improved using side cutting for blade surface and point milling for leading edge.

계획된 경로를 가진 이동 객체의 불확실한 미래 시간 추정 (Prediction of Uncertainty Future Time of Moving Object on Planned Route)

  • 이동 객체 데이터베이스에서 위치 불확실성은 이동 객체의 고유한 성질 중 하나이다. 이것은 모델링과 질의 처리 및 질의 결과에 예상치 못한 문제들을 야기시키기 때문에 이를 해결하기 위해 많은 연구들이 진행되어 왔다. 이전의 연구들은 객체의 최근 속력과 방향 정보를 사용하여 불확실한 객체의 위치를 추정하였다. 이 방법은 추정이 간단하고 가까운 미래의 위치와 시간 추정에는 유용하지만 계획된 경로를 가진 미래의 먼 위치와 시간의 추정에는 적합하지 않다. 따라서, 이 논문에서는 계획된 경로를 가진 이동객체의 미래의 불확실한 시간을 추정하는 방법을 제안한다. 계획된 경로를 이동하는 객체일지라도 기계적인 오류와 예기치 못한 상황들로 인하여 실제 객체의 위치와 계획된 경로는 정확히 일치 하지는 않는다. 그렇지만 객체의 위치는 계획된 경로에 근접하여 위치할 확률이 가장 높으므로 우리는 계획된 경로에 객체의 궤적을 투영시킨다. 또한 미래의 시간을 추정을 위하여 웹사이트에서 제공하는 차량의 평균속도를 사용한다. 제공된 평균 속도는 일반 차량의 평균 속도이므로 우리는 이를 가공하여 미래 시간을 추정한다.
