An Analytic Study on the Present Condition of Internet Knowledge Exchange Market (인터넷 지식거래소의 현황분석에 관한 조사연구)

  • Upon the growing popularity of knowledge information and paid digital content, the Internet knowledge exchange market had emerged. A Internet knowledge exchange market consists of general characteristics of a market where a wide variety of knowledge is exchanged at market-appropriate prices, the Internet knowledge exchange market is recently gaining momentum with specialized knowledge items such as design, program source, patent information, consulting service, multimedia, or resumes, as it seeks to secure competitive advantage over its peer markets. Considering the immense influence that these Internet markets will exert on the existing system of knowledge circulation including libraries and information centers, this study aims to contribute to a better understanding of Korea's knowledge circulation structure by analyzing the current standing of the Internet knowledge exchange market.

Wage Differentials by Types of Employment Arrangements (정규근로와 비정규근로의 임금격차)

  • The recent economic crisis started at the end of 1997 has brought about changes in labor market practices. One of them is rapid increase in the ratio of workers with alternative employment arrangement, so-called contingent workers. This type of arrangement, unlike traditional employment arrangement, makes employers properly adjust employment to business cycles and it also makes it possible for employees to solve time and spatial constraints related to labor supply. However, recent experience has revealed its negative characteristics such as lower wage rate, deficient fringe benefits, insufficient job security. Using the data from the first and the second wave of the Korea Labor and Income Panel Survey, this study focuses on change in the tendency of being contingent workers and decomposition of the wage differentials among regular and contingent workers by estimating the switching regression model. Results show that the recent crisis significantly contributed to probabilities of being contingent workers, especially for women, the young, the older, and the lowly educated. Decomposition shows that one quarter or one third of 35% of wage differentials are due to the price effect that the same productive characteristics are differently paid by the types of employment arrangements.

  • We analyze the economic effects of mobile termination rate asymmetry by simulation model. The asymmetry allows the mobile operator to get access profits at the expense of the incumbent and induces negative effects such as the entry of inefficient operator and allocative efficiency as well as productive efficiency. We use simulation model to investigate the effect on social welfare of asymmetric regulation. If the brand loyalty is high, social welfare increase as the termination charge of entrant increases. The extension of the basic model shows that the degree of social welfare increase becomes higher as the brand loyalty increases when the cost of entrant is smaller than that of incumbent. But, the degree of social welfare decrease becomes lower as the substitution effects increase.

  • This case study explores various marketing strategies of Grundfos Pumps Korea Inc. that has become a front-runner in the industrial pump market of Korea as the enterprise that got into the business later. Grundfos Group, a multinational company with its head office in Denmark, has acknowledged diversity of each country and has granted its subsidiary companies with discretionary power so that they can establish marketing strategies suitable for the market they were competing in. Grundfos Pumps Korea has been very successful in its localization and differentiation of marketing strategies. First, Grundfos Pumps Korea achieved the trust of their customers by its high quality and consistent pricing strategies and has expanded its market very successfully with continuous product innovation and new product ideas. Second, it increased its brand awareness and recognition by brand differentiation along with the product differentiation strategy, which is exceptional in industrial market. It has conducted creative marketing activities and strategies to build brand equity and successful customer relationship management.

Study on Gender Pay Gap of Scienceand Engineering Labor Force (과학기술인력의 성별 임금격차에 관한 연구)

  • Employing female in the field of science and engineering is becoming increasingly important with diversity and creativity emerging as key factors to build Creative Economy. Under these circumstances, it is necessary to recognize and discourage gender discrimination in the labor market by analyzing wages - the market value of labor which determines one's economic status. This study uses the Oaxaca-Ransom decomposition (1994) to analyze the gender wage gap and identify factors influencing the pay gap in science and engineering labor force. The results of this study are as follows: First, the average wage of female scientists and engineers reaches only 65% of that of male labor force, and the male scientist and engineers are superior in terms of personal attributes, for instance, education background. Second, looking at the factors that influence wages, wage premiums are associated with higher education background, older age, longer period of service, and weekly working hours for both male and female in managerial positions. Third, the wage decomposition shows that in the case of science and engineering labor force, the productivity difference by personal attributes reaches about 58%, and gender discrimination by the characteristics of the labor market stands at about 41%. This means the wage gap by productivity level in science and engineering labor force is wider, and the gender gap is smaller compared to non-science and engineering fields. However, the results of an analysis on specialties and education background of male and female scientists and engineers suggest that the discrimination against women is more serious when the percentage of the female labor force is low and the percentage of temporary workers in the labor market is high. In order to eliminate this discrimination, it is necessary to reduce the imbalance of female scientists and engineers in the labor market, among others, while female scientists and engineers, themselves, need to make continuous efforts to strengthen their capabilities.

  • 태양에너지는 전자기파로써 파장에 따라 여러 부분으로 나뉜다. 파장이 780nm 이상인 부분의 영역을 IR (infra Red) 즉 적외선으로 불린다. 이 부분이 열선에 해당하는 부분인데 대부분의 창문에 설치된 커튼이나 vertical 등은 빛을 차단하는 수단일 뿐, 유입되는 열 (적외선)을 차단시킬 수는 없다. 열은 결국 실내의 온도를 높이기 때문에 난방비 등 에너지 손실을 막긴 어렵다. 단열필름은 커튼이나 vertical과 달리 실내로 유입되는 열 (적외선)을 다시 실외로 반사시켜 실내로 유입되는 열을 최소화 한다. 본 연구는 IR 차폐를 목적으로 연구 되었고, 거기서 한 발 나아가 실내 분위기 등을 고려하여 소비자의 구호에 맞는 제품에 더 맞추기 위해 연구되었다. 기존 제품들과 차별된 점은 색상을 위한 추가적인 작업없이 굴절률과 두께 factor 등을 변화시켜 바로 7가지 색을 구현한다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 가격 경쟁력에서도 우위를 점 할 수 있는 중요한 기술이라 할 수 있겠다. 박막제조 장비로는 DC pulse In-line Sputter를 사용하였으며, 굴절률과 광학적인 두께 측정을 위한 ellipsometer, 그리고 UV-vis 를 통한 Transmittance 측정으로 제품 능력을 확인하였다.

An empirical study on the effect of web purchase suitability varied with consumer characteristics on online purchase intention (소비자 특성에 따른 웹 구매 적합성의 차이가 온라인 구매 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증적 연구)

  • This study introduces e-purchase potential matrix and examines whether the Web purchase suitability mediates the effects of the internet consumer characteristics such as diversification, innovativeness, self-realization, and informativity on online purchase intention through an empirical analysis. Specifically, this study investigates whether the Internet consumer characteristics affect the two dimensions differently. The results show that the Web purchase suitability partially mediates the effects of the internet consumer characteristics on online purchase intention.

  • Success in internet shopping is determined in partly by whether consumers trust sellers and products. This paper describes an integrated model for investigating the three main antecedent influence on consumer trust and the effect of trust on re-purchasing. The model was estimated with data from 247 consumers in internet shopping. The results revealed that price competitiveness, product difference, after services, and qualities of web-design were related with consumer trust. Also, the effect of trust on re-purchasing was observed.

KOSPI 200 선물거래가 현물시장의 정보효율성에 미치는 영향: 충격-반응분석을 중심으로

  • 한국증권거래소는 1996년 5월 3일부터 KOSPI 200을 대상으로 하는 주가지수선물을 거래하고 있다. 주가지수선물거래가 한국주식시장의 정보효율성에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤을까? Cox(1976)의 주장대로 주식시장의 효율성이 제고되었을까? 이에 대한 대답을 구하기 위해 본 논문에서는 오차수정모형의 구성을 통한 불균형충격반응분석과 예측오차의 분산분해를 이용하여 선물거래가 현물시장의 효율성에 미치는 영향을 직접적으로 검증하였다. 본 논문의 연구결과는 한국주식시장에서 선물거래의 도입 이후에 해외요인과 국내요인으로 대표되는 영구적 효과를 가지는 교란과 일시적 효과를 가지는 고유요인의 교란에 시장가격이 보다 신속히 반응하고 있음을 보여준다. 또한 KOSPI 200은 Non-KOSPI 200에 비해 해외요인의 교란에 보다 민감함을 보여주며, Non-KOSPI 200은 KOSPI 200에 비해 국내요인의 변동에 보다 민감하게 반응함을 보여준다. 고유교란에 대한 KOSPI 200과 Non-KOSPI 200의 반응은 선물거래의 도입 이후에 교란에 대한 반응속도가 현저히 빨라졌음을 보인다. 그러나 KOSPI 200과 Non-KOSPI 200간의 차이는 선물거래 도입 이후에 차별적인 변화를 보이지 못하고 있다. 예측오차의 분산분해결과는 전체적으로 선물거래의 도입 이후에 해외요인의 설명력이 커지고, 선물거래가 시장의 정보확산에 긍정적인 역할을 함을 보여준다. 이러한 연구결과는 한국주식시장에서 KOSPI 200 선물거래가 도입된 이후에 현물시장의 정보효율성이 약하나마 향상되었음을 보여주는 것이나 추가적인 연구가 필요함을 말해준다.

  • The market for electric vehicles is growing due to the public's interest in the environment and the expansion of electric vehicle support projects in terms of government policy. This study surveyed 2,332 people in Jeju, one of the nation's representative areas of electric vehicles, and the higher the perceived value in terms of the total cost of automobile ownership for electric vehicles, the higher the intention to purchase electric vehicles. The higher the level of knowledge and attachment, the higher the intention to purchase electric vehicles. While many previous studies considered economic value mainly as price, the study was conducted to approach economic value in terms of total cost of ownership. Marketing practitioners also look for practical contributions in that they can propose price framing so that customers can judge the economic value of the electric vehicle as a strategic way to increase the intention to purchase the electric vehicle, rather than just the purchase price. can see. In addition, the same research should be conducted in various regions besides Jeju, so that the research results can be generalized.
