Development of educational programs for managing medical information utilizing medical data generation and analysis techniques (의료 데이터 발생과 분석기술을 활용한 의료정보관리 교육용 프로그램 개발)

  • This study has developed a medical information management educational program that can improve the management ability of medical information. The educational medical information management program was developed for 8mnths uing VB. The database utilized the ACCESS Database, which allows learners to easily understand and understand the structure of the data. The learners enter data in the discharge analysis and the cancer registration program and the incomplete program after analyze the medical records. After entering and saving data, medical information management programs can be used to understand and analyze the structure of the database to generate medical information. The educational programs can improve the ability of learners to manage medical information by extracting the necessary data from the database directly through SQL and creating various medical information. However, although the medical information management program is an educational program, there is no evaluation system for the learners program operation. Accordingly, the next studies should develop the assessment system of the medical information management program for learners evaluation.

Structural Relationship among Service Value, Brand Image, and Patients Revisits in Regional Public Hospitals in Korea (지방의료원 의료소비자의 서비스가치, 브랜드이미지, 재이용의도 간 관계)

  • The study was performed to measure structural relationship among service value, brand image, and royalty of patients in regional public hospitals in Korea. Based on the analysis, the study aims to establish strategic direction of the regional public hospitals. Through a review of related literatures, measurement variables were identified, and a path model was developed for the study. Five regional public hospitals were chosen, and questionnaire has been collected from 387 outpatients and 358 inpatients. The study found that service value has a positive direct effect on brand image, and brand image has a positive direct effect on loyalty. Based on the findings, it is desirable for the regional public hospitals should mange the issues with lower level of perception and those with bigger effect, and establish low pricing strategy with improving the quality of service they provide.

  • The rapid development of the current information and communication brings big changes and progress in the health service delivery system. And it is becoming the worldwide trend increasingly. In order to implement established what policy peacefully is sufficient review and dialogue, social consensus are integral components. The government in the telemedicine services, health care industry that is directly related to the public health and development spheres as nations of the society which to vote on new growth policy is a great social health policies of the push ahead with an unconditional side effects. But before it was activated, telemedicine, which is capable of ensuring the health and lives of the people in need of revision of the safety and effectiveness of any kind, and enforces a stretch enough before review and social consensus, must necessarily be a prerequisite. In conclusion, it presently appears to be inappropriate and impossible to conduct telemedicine system through the foreign of telemedicine. It suggested to present the problems on telemedicine in korea.

A Cloud Service for Archiving and Interpreting Medical Images (의료 이미지 보관 및 판독 클라우드 서비스)

  • Medical images are an effective means to identity medical abnormalities.. Patients typically have medical images taken at different clinics during lifetime, and they often wish to have second interpretation on medical images showing substantial diseases. At present, since personal medical images are distributed to multiple clinics, there is a bit discomfort that patients directly bring their images by hands to get the second interpretation from another physician. With these two motivations, we design a cloud service for archiving medical images and interpreting medical images by physicians. We present the design and implementation of the service, and show its practical value as low-cost personal healthcare service. By using the service, patients can retrieve and review their medical images anytime and have a convenience of acquiring second opinions on their medical images at low-cost without visiting a clinic.

  • 목적 : 최근 들어 여러 가지 디지털 의료장비와 각종 의료정보시스템, 인터넷의 활용에 따라 다양한 종류의 의료정보와 지식이 엄청나게 증가하고 있고, 최신의 진료환경구축을 위해서 이러한 지식과 정보들을 통합 관리하려는 필요성과 요구가 대두되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 요구들은 기존의 종이로 된 차트나 필름 등의 기법에서는 물론이고 여러 가지 독립적인 전산 시스템들 <처방전달시스템(OCS), 의료영상저장전송시스템(PACS) 등>을 통해서도 충족되기 어려운 것이 현실이다. 왜냐하면 기존에 설치된 의료 정보 시스템들은 대체로 독자적인 처리방식과 내부구조를 가지고 있기 때문에 서로 다른 의료 정보 시스템간에 정보를 교환한다는 것이 사실상 매우 어렵거나 심지어는 불가능한 경우가 있기 때문이다. 그러나 이러한 의료 정보들을 최대한 유기적으로 활용하기 위해서는 이상의 여러 가지 의료 정보 시스템들을 완벽히 통합하는 것이 필수적이고 이러한 통합의료정보시스템이 비로소 진료에 있어서의 의사결정 과정에 중추적으로 활용될 수 있는 것이다. 특히 의료영상을 다루는 PACS에서는 다른 종류의 의료정보시스템인 OCS(처방전달시스템)와의 연계가 매우 중요하다. 그러나 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 병원의 전산시스템이 서로 호환되지 않음으로 인해 OCS/PACS 통합은 PACS 도입과정 중에서 가장 어려운 부분으로 인식되어 온 것이 사실이다. 이제까지의 PACS에 있어서는 대량의 영상 데이터를 고속으로 처리하기 위한 기술적인 문제에 주로 관심을 기울였으며 기존의 정보 시스템과의 연계 또는 통합문제는 충분히 고려되지 않았다. 그 결과 PACS를 도입한 병원에서는 기대와는 달리 PACS 운용을 위한 많은 인력소모가 뒤따르거나 운용에 차질을 빚는 등 여러가지 문제가 발생하게 되었다. 따라서 이제까지의 PACS 개발이 기술적인 문제 해결을 위한 방향 접근에서 이루어졌다면, 이제부터는 기술적인 해결을 바탕으로 하여 병원내의 임상운용환경에서 그 효율성을 최대화할 수 있기 위하여 기존 OCS/PACS의 통합 연계성을 주 관심으로 하는 임상적인 접근이 이루어져야 할 시점이라고 파악된다. 이와 같은 OCS/PACS의 통합은 병원 내에서 일어나는 일련의 진료 과정들에 있어서 문자정보뿐 아니라 영상정보까지를 포함하는 모든 진료정보의 관리와 전달을 컴퓨터화 함으로써 진료효율을 비약적으로 형상 시키는 효과를 가져올 수 있으므로 궁극적으로는 모든 병원의 정보시스템이 지향하는 목표이기도 하다. 따라서 OCS/PACS의 통합을 구현하기 위해서는 기존 방식과 OCS/PACS 통합 방식의 차이점이 분석 되어져야 하며 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 차후 병원에 도입되는 시스템이 안정적이고 완성도 높은 병원 정보화 시스템으로 구축 되어져야 하므로 이에 따른 통합 시스템에 대한 분석을 하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we present an information collecting system in medical information management domain. Our proposed system performs a systemized process, consisting of collection, transmission, and management, to develop intelligent medical information system and medical big data processing system. Our information collecting system consists of low-power biomedical sensors, biomedical information collecting devices, and storage systems. Currently, almost biomedical information of patients is collected manually by employees like nurses and medical doctors. Therefore, collected biometric data can be error-pronoun data. Since there is a lack to make big data of medical information, it is difficult to enhance the quality of medical services and researches. Accordingly, through our proposed system, we can overcome the problems like error-pronoun biometric data. In addition, we can extremely extend the area of collectable biometric data. Furthermore, using this system, we are able to make a real-time biomedical analysis system, like a real-time patient diagnosis system, and establish a strategy to against future medical markets changing rapidly.

  • This study reviews equipped with enhanced capability of medical care, quality service, accessibility, and consumer awareness to be a competitive and representative local healthcare service provider with improved administrative efficiency. The method of analysis are ANOVA and Structural Equation Modeling. The results which revealed the significant difference among demographic factors in determining the preference or degree of satisfaction at medical service to select local healthcare institutions suggest that the close review on the needs of groups of major customers of local healthcare institutions are necessary when preparing the strategy of specialized medical service of local healthcare institutions. this suggests that both images would be important factors to secure the competitive advantage of local healthcare institution and therefore the strategy maximized the enhancement of medical service with embossed image of hospital to attract customers of medical service is needed.

Development and Validation of Privacy Concern Measurement Tool in Personal Medical Information (개인의료정보 프라이버시 염려 측정도구 개발 및 타당도 검증)

  • In an information society, privacy protection is one of the most important ethical issues. In medical institutes in which personal medical information is collected and stored, in addition, a privacy breach can cause a serious damage on personal lives. This study attempted to develop privacy concern measurement tool in personal medical information to measure patients' concern on their medical information from medical service consumers' perspective and verify its validity. For this, privacy concern measurement tool in personal medical information was developed based on the results of previous studies. After performing Exploratory Factor Analysis(EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA) on the measurement tool, its reliability and validity were verified. It appears that the measurement tool would be useful in developing decent privacy protection policy after investigating citizens' concern on the protection of personal medical information and domains they are interested in. For medical institutes as well, they would be helpful in coming up with a reasonable plan after figuring out problems in the protection of personal medical information and current status.

  • In the post-corona era, telemedicine is becoming more important. This is the case in which it is written, in terms of this study, and in relation to the relationship between the Koreans and the Korean government. In addition, the aim is to prepare effective measures and seek policy suggestions for expanding the introduction of domestic telemedicine in the future. Although Japan has insisted on the necessity of introducing telemedicine in the medical community, it has institutionalized it with a cautious attitude until the establishment of telemedicine. On the other hand, South Korea lacks clear provisions on medical fees for telemedicine and legal measures regarding the responsibility for medical malpractice. Therefore, a clear legal interpretation of the telemedicine subject is needed, and a strategic approach is prioritized, including guidelines and measures for the legal responsibilities and limitations of physicians and patients.

Analysis of Medical Images Using EM-based Relationship Method (EM기반 관계기법을 이용한 의료영상 분석)

  • The integrated medical information system is an effective medical diagnosis assistance system which offers an environment in which medial images and diagnosis information can be shared. Because of the large-scale medical institutions and their cooperating organizations are operating the integrated medical information systems, they can share medical images and diagnosis information. However, this system can only stored and transmitted information without other functions. To resolve this problem and to enhance the efficiency of diagnostic activities, a medical image analysis system is necessary. In this paper, the proposed relationship method analyzes medical images for features generation. Under this method, the medical images have been segmented into several objects. The medical image features have been extracted from each segmented image. Then, extracted features were applied to the Relationship Method for medical image analysis. Several experimental results that show the effectiveness of the proposed method are also presented.
