GVC status of the electronics industry & GVC promote case studies of the domestic electronics industry (전자산업의 GVC 현황과 국내 전자업체의 GVC 추진사례 분석)

  • Electronics industry provides more revenue and jobs, and plays an important role in a variety of fields. During recent changes to the industrial strategy by IT convergence technology development and global economic integration, Global Value Chain(GVC) of the ICT industry has been expanded. The global value chain is a structure consisting of the global dimension in all the processes of business activity for value-added production, R&D, manufacturing, sales, A/S etc. The purpose of this study is to analyze the GVC in the electronics industry and GVC promote practice of Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. GVC of the electronics industry was developed from 1980, and established manufacturing plant in the United States and Canada. GVC has moved to low-cost countries such as China, Taiwan and India to cut costs, In recent years, because of the rising labor and production costs in China, manufacturing plants move to the Vietnam that has relatively cheap production base. To develop consistently, Korean electronics companies should carry out a new strategy such as item and brand marketing to exporting country.

Personalization Strategies and Apparel Shopping Orientation of College Students (개인화 전략과 대학생들의 의류제품 쇼핑성향)

  • The fashion apparel industries have demanded to be extremely consumer-oriented. Therefore, the need of personalization arises. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between apparel shopping orientation and various personalization strategies provided in the apparel shopping process. A total of 422 questionnaires were used for statistical analysis. Canonical correlation and ANOVA were conducted. Results indicated that higher level of demand for "sale-promotion personalization" and "personalized customer relationship" were significantly related to high level of fashion innovativeness and price consciousness. Consumers who seek for high level of "personalized advice" and "personalized fit" were likely to be price conscious and conforming to clothing but not innovative in terms of fashion and clothing. Shopping orientation group differences were also reported in the study. In personalizing of apparel products, distinctive but relevant strategies should be implemented according to the need of the consumers.

A Study on the Korean Red Ginseng Packaging (홍삼의 패키지 현황과 디자인 개선 방안)

  • The value of Korean ginseng has been known in the world since the 4th century B. C. Red ginseng is hot-steamed, and then dried for the purpose of long-term storing. Through the steaming and drying process, its moisture rate is reduced to 14% and its color becomes citrine or light yellowish brown. Its hardened structure enables long-term storage without any deformation. Especially, Korean red ginseng contains substances that promote micro-physiological activities which are not found in American or Sanchi ginseng. Ginseng is produced in diverse forms for the customer's convenience. In this study, these are classified as sliced, dried, and honeyed ginseng, granulated tea, extract, powder, capsules, tablets, drinks and candy. Package design is one of the most effective method in the marketing fields. However, in this research, we found that red ginseng packages are not variously and properly developed in materials and designs. The research pointed out the problems and discuss ways and means of the package design.

  • The first impression of people plays a crucial role in deciding personal image. Except for the eyes, the V zone of a suit attracts people's attention most. Therefore, a necktie has an instant and strong influence in delivering the image of a man. This research divided images of men into several factors based on necktie that plays an important role in expressing men's images. Futhermore, this research inquired into characteristics of necktie designs that can express men's images. And this research presented visually through surveys. As a result, men's images were divided into six factors of uniqueness, sociality, generosity, notability, activeness & vitality and reliability with two axes of attractiveness and capability. Afterwards, the characteristic of necktie designs suitable for each image was presented. Furthermore, the characteristic of necktie designs suitable for jobs classification was presented by relating each image to six job classifications. Applying these facts into necktie sales, consumers will be able to choose their neckties that can express proper images according to their tastes, situations and jobs. Furthermore, consumers will be able to establish better image for themselves.

  • SP(sales promotion)전략을 지향하는 백화점은 강 한 개성으로 다양하게 변화해 가는 소비자의 욕구충 족을 위해 대 고객차원의 편의성 및 쾌적한 쇼핑환 경을 마련하며 아이디어는 항상 특별하고 새로워야 한다. SP 전략으로서의 VMD (visual merchandi sing)는 상품의 시각화계획 등 통일된 시각(visual identity) 연 출을 통해 고객의 그룹이나 개인의 취향에 맞는 타켓 마케팅 (target marketing) 으로 백 화점 은 고객 의 중심에서 그들의 삶을 윤태하게 하며 아름답고 즐거 운 소비문화를 주도해갈 수 있는 환경을 제공해야 할 것이다. 1999년 말 IMF 이후 최근 막강한 자금력과 경쟁 력을 가진 대형 외국 할인 업체의 부상과 계속되는 장기적인 경제위축으로 백화점의 마케팅활동은 기존 고객과 관련된 단기적 욕구만을 충족시키는 점에서 벗어날 수 없었다. 이렇게 심각한 경기불안과 유통환 경의 급변으로 인해 소비자의 구매력이 약화되고 매 출이 감소하는 등 백화점의 한계성과 업태간의 경쟁 이 심화되어 갈수록 진정한 서비스개념의 합리적 목 적을 띤 VMD가 SP전략의 실질적인 형태로써 존재 되어야 한다. VMD는 이러한 불경기에 대응하는 백화점의 생존 고용식 전략으로서 좀더 강하고 적극적인 글로벌 마인드 ( (global mind)를 갖고 보다 넓은 시장에 대한 장기적 안목을 필요로 한다. 특히 대 고객 감성의 글로벌화 로 광범위한 상품의 장르와 감각적인 투자로써 신 고객창출을 도모하는 한편 고객에 대한 세심한 배려 와 구체화된 전략을 통해 불황을 극복하는 등 국내 유통문화의 선진화를 가속시켜 나갈 수 있는 것이다.   • This study focuses on the relationship structure of SMEs with outsourcing based on buyer-supplier relationships and aims to test the role of trust management and mutual growth in the activities of SMEs. Trust management and mutual growth have a context in which the outsourcing type is determined through the company's slack resources, partnership relations, and buyer-supplier relationship. In this context, research hypotheses were set up, research model was designed and an empirical analysis was conducted by using structural equation modeling. For the empirical analysis, hypotheses were tested using data obtained from questionnaires of 206 SMEs nationwide. As a result, trust management and mutual growth have a significant effect on outsourcing type and performance, and mediation effect of cooperation relationship and buyer-supplier relationship was in the process.

  • The concept of license sales and its business model, which was introduced by Dolby 40 years ago, was implemented by Intel in the form of their promotional strategy "Intel Inside" and became the basis for Sharp's Plasmacluster. This strategy proved to be useful in securing stable profitability and competitiveness in the market, as it is designed to (i) license technology, which is an intangible asset, and (ii) combine various communication activities and management strategies to create a brand for the licensed technology. Although the concept and theory of "Technology Brand Marketing" are not fully understood, we know that they exist and are fully functional. Many corporations have branded their technology, though their intention may not be as clear as that of Dolby or Intel. This paper introduces the technology brands of advanced Japanese corporations in different sectors that have striven to earn credibility through "Technology Brand Marketing" and the possibilities this has opened up for them.

  • For the purpose of cost saving and sales promotion, various industry companies have introduced logistics management techniques in their field. However, enterprises faced to damages because proper products can not be provided to customers in basic logistics 3S1L(speedy, safely, surely, and low) principles for environments changing rapidly and inflexible business processes. So, we need the ability in coping with risk to handle this phenomenon. In particular, the shipper of key decisions of supply chain risk management requires continuous exchange and collection of logistics information in the third-party logistics. However the current SCRMS(Supply Chain Risk Management System) is not sufficient to cover the shipper's various needs and to recognize and respond to emergency situations. Therefore, this paper proposes an active SCRMS framework through the reconsideration about the previous research on SCRM and rearrangement of risk factors for coping with those problems. in addition, it verifies an efficiency through a stability comparison with the current system.

A Study of MES for the Product Tracking Based on RFID (제품추적을 위한 RFID기반 제조실행시스템에 대한 연구)

  • MES(Manufacturing Execution System) is a control system which supports basic activities(scheduling, working process and qualify management, etc) to execute working on the shop floor. As especially MES is a system to decrease the gap between production planning and operating, it executes functions that make decision between management and labor using real-time data. MES for real-time information processing requires certain conditions such as data modeling of RFID, which has recently attracted attentions, and monitoring of each product unit from manufacture to sales. However, in the middle of processing the unit with a RFID tag, transponders(readers) can't often read the tag due to reader's malfunctions, intentional damages, loss and the circumstantial effects; for that reason, users are unable to confirm the location of the product unit. In this case, users cannot avoid tracing the path of units with uncertain clues. In this paper, we suggest that the unique MES based on RFID and Bayesian Network can immediately track the product unit, and show how to evaluate it.
