This study was designed to survey the degrees of career plateau, job satisfaction, and turnover intention of hospital nurses, as well as to identify the relationship among them. We surveyed 239 nurses working at five different hospitals in J city and C city. Data collection was conducted between April 1 and April 30, 2016. The data was analyzed using SPSS 23.0. This study shows that the significant factors influencing job satisfaction were content plateau and structural plateau, which account for 55.0% of the variance. It also shows that the significant factors that influence turnover intention were structural plateau, present clinical career, content plateau, and working department, which account for 43.0% of the variance. As such, we identified that a decrease in the content plateau of hospital nurses enhances job satisfaction and that a decrease in structural plateau reduces turnover intention. The results indicate that a systematic managerial strategy for nursing resources should be developed and applied in the nursing field. This strategy should supplement the content plateau by job redesign and job enrichment. In addition, to increase retention of skilled nurses and to achieve superior organizational performance, as well as to contribute to the success of hospital nurses, supplementation of the structural plateau by adopting and applying a career ladder system is important.

The purpose of this study was to examine, among quality improvement (QI) department employees, the effects of perception of the healthcare accreditation on job stress and to identify factors affecting turnover intention. Research data was collected between 1 June and 15 June 2016. The sample included QI department employees who had participated in a healthcare accreditation survey. The collected data were analyzed to obtain frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation results, which were assessed by using Student's t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The scores for QI employees' perceptions of the healthcare accreditation, job stress, and turnover intention were 3.35, 3.66, and 3.32 of the perception by general characteristics. There were significant differences between scores according to gender, age, QI department section, position, and job satisfaction. In addition, job stress and turnover intention scores showed significant differences according to position, age, QI department section, and job satisfaction. A positive correlation was observed between healthcare perception and job stress, while turnover intention was negatively correlated with healthcare perception. The results indicate that the perception of healthcare accreditation positively affects job stress; in contrast, it decreases the number of people intending to change departments. Among the sample of lower level workers, the younger age workers who were employed for more than 10 years expressed lower satisfaction with their job, which indicates that they are affected by their notion of healthcare accreditation more than by other factors. Thus, in order to lessen work stress and employees' thoughts of leaving the department, the QI department should be encouraged to lessen job stress and provide various supports to the employees.

The purpose of this descriptive survey study was to explore the effects of emotional labor on professional quality of life of emergency department nurses and to elucidate any mediating effects of emotional dissonance between emotional labor and professional quality of life. A total of 227 nurses, including general, charge, and head nurses, who have worked in an emergency department at university hospitals, general hospitals, and junior general hospitals located in Gyeongnam, Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas over a period of 6 months. Data were collected between December 12 and December 29 of 2015. We analyzed the data with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and three-step mediated regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The average scores of emotional labor, compassion satisfaction, compassion fatigue, burnout, and emotional dissonance were 4.50 out of 7.00, 31.62 out of 50.00, 29.48 out of 50.00, 29.27 out of 50.00, and 5.02 out of 7.00, respectively. Emotional labor had significant effects on compassion fatigue and burnout, showing explanatory power of 12% and 29%, respectively. Emotional dissonance had partial mediating effects in the relationship between emotional labor and compassion fatigue and complete mediating effects in the relationship between emotional labor and burnout. In summary, to improve the professional quality of life of nurses, it is necessary to develop effective strategies to minimize their emotional labor and emotional dissonance.

This study quantified optimism, emotional intelligence, and depression levels, and explored potential key factors affecting the depression level in undergraduate students. We performed a survey targeting undergraduate students in two Universities at D city and S city, between April 8th and 30th of 2016. After receiving informed consent, a total of 166 university students were recruited. They were asked to fill in a self-reported questionnaire about optimism, emotional-intelligence, and depression. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS version 22.0. The data analysis results showed that the mean score for optimism was $3.67{\pm}0.51$, $3.66{\pm}0.49$, and $3.69{\pm}0.55$ for overall undergraduate students, undergraduate nursing students, and undergraduate non-nursing students, respectively. Moreover, the mean score of emotional intelligence was $3.56{\pm}0.49$, $3.53{\pm}0.49$, and $3.60{\pm}0.51$, respectively. In addition, the mean score of depression was $8.28{\pm}7.48$, $10.97{\pm}7.65$, and $5.50{\pm}5.54$, respectively. It was revealed that a strong negative correlation exists among optimism, emotional intelligence, and depression. This correlation was stronger for undergraduate nursing students than undergraduate non-nursing students. Optimism and emotional intelligence were key factors influencing depression. The degree of this influence was higher for undergraduate nursing students than undergraduate non-nursing students. In conclusion, a program that empowers optimism and emotional intelligence is necessary to manage depression for undergraduate students.

This study examined the influence of self-efficacy and critical thinking disposition on the self-leadership of nursing students. The research subjects were114 nursing students in D city and K province. The data werecollected from November 9 to November 27, 2015, and analyzed by an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and Stepwise multiple regression using the IBM SPSS/Win 20.0 program. The results showed that self-efficacy was 3.73, critical thinking disposition was 3.73, and self-leadership was 3.73. The self-leadership has positive correlations with self-efficacy and critical thinking disposition. Self-efficacy(${\beta}=.277$, p<.008), critical thinking disposition(${\beta}=.274$, p=.006), grade(${\beta}=.273$, p<.001), religion(${\beta}=.163$, p=.023),motivation of nursing(${\beta}=-.155$, p=.033) explained 45.6% of total variance of self-leadership of nursing students. The most significant predictor of self-leadership were self-efficacy, followed by critical thinking disposition. Therefore, it is necessary to develop aneducation program to improve the self-efficacy and critical thinking disposition of nursing students.

This study aimed to identify the factors affecting confidence in performance of fundamental nursing skills in nursing students. Participants were 318 nursing students who haven't had clinical practice experiences to the point of data collection in two universities in B and U cities. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheff? test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. The mean scores of self-directed learning ability, satisfaction with practicum, and confidence in performance of fundamental nursing skills were $3.38{\pm}0.40$, $3.93{\pm}0.59$, and $3.40{\pm}0.61$, respectively. Correlations were found between confidence in performance of fundamental nursing skills and self-directed learning ability (r=.289, p<.001) and satisfaction with practicum (r=.353, p<.001), and between self-directed learning ability and satisfaction with practicum (r=.393, p<.001). Factors influencing the confidence in the performance of fundamental nursing skills were satisfaction with practicum (${\beta}=.24$, p<.001), self-directed learning ability (${\beta}=.15$, p=.010), and attitude to practicum participation (${\beta}=.13$, p=.027). These factors explained 15.6% of the variance in the participants' confidence in performance of fundamental nursing skills. Therefore, effective nursing educational programs need to be developed in order to foster confidence in the performance of fundamental nursing skills of nursing students by enhancing self-directed learning ability, satisfaction with practicum and active attitude to practicum participation.
The web ontology language(OWL) has become a W3C recommendation to publish and share ontologies on the semantic web. In order to check the satisfiablity of concepts in OWL ontology, OWL reasoners have been introduced. But most reasoners simply report check results without providing a justification for any arbitrary entailment of unsatisfiable concept in OWL ontologies. In this paper, we propose dependency label based causing inconsistency axiom (CIA) detection for debugging unsatisfiable concepts in ontology. CIA is a set of axioms to occur unsatisfiable concepts. In order to detect CIA, we need to find axiom to cause inconsistency in ontology. If precise CIA is gave to ontology building tools, these ontology tools display CIA to debug unsatisfiable concepts as suitable presentation format. Our work focuses on two key aspects. First, when a inconsistency ontology is given, it detect axioms to occur unsatisfiable and identify the root of them. Second, when particular unsatisfiable concepts in an ontology are detected, it extracts them and presents to ontology designers. Therefore we introduce a tableau-based decision procedure and propose an improved method which is dependency label based causing inconsistency axiom detection. Our results are applicable to the very expressive logic SHOIN that is the basis of the Web Ontology Language.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of post-traumatic stress on the quality of life and effects of resilience in industrial accident patients. Participants in this study were 158 patients in an industrial hospital and general hospital in two metropolitan urban areas. Data were collected from July 1 to September 30, 2017 using self-report questionnaires and analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, hierarchical regression, and Sobel's test using SPSS 21.0. There were significant negative correlations post-traumatic stress, quality of life, effects of resilience and were significant positive correlations quality of life, effects of resilience. The effects of resilience showed partial mediating effects, but not moderating effects on post-traumatic stress and quality of life. Post-traumatic stress and resilience explained 45% of the effects of industrial accidents on quality of life, post-traumatic stress explained 23% of the effects on quality of life, and the mediating effect of resilience was 22%. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop interventions that improve quality of life by reducing post-traumatic stress and increasing resilience among workers who experience industrial accidents.
Recently, with the advent of the Big Data era, we have gained the capability of acquiring vast amounts of knowledge from various fields. The collected knowledge is expressed by well-formed formula and in particular, OWL, a standard language of ontology, is a typical form of well-formed formula. The symbolic reasoning is actively being studied using large amounts of ontology data for extracting intrinsic information. However, most studies of this reasoning support the restricted rule expression based on Description Logic and they have limited applicability to the real world. Moreover, knowledge management for inaccurate information is required, since knowledge inferred from the wrong information will also generate more incorrect information based on the dependencies between the inference rules. Therefore, this paper suggests that the SWAT, knowledge management system should be combined with the SWRL (Semantic Web Rule Language) reasoning based on ATMS (Assumption-based Truth Maintenance System). Moreover, this system was constructed by combining with SWRL reasoning and ATMS for managing large ontology data based on the distributed In-memory framework. Based on this, the ATMS monitoring system allows users to easily detect and correct wrong knowledge. We used the LUBM (Lehigh University Benchmark) dataset for evaluating the suggested method which is managing the knowledge through the retraction of the wrong SWRL inference data on large data.
Understanding dialogue participant's emotion is important as well as decoding the explicit message in human communication. It is well known that non-verbal elements are more suitable for conveying speaker's emotions than verbal elements. Written texts, however, contain a variety of linguistic units that express emotions. This study aims at analyzing components for constructing an emotion ontology, that provides us with numerous applications in Human Language Technology. A majority of the previous work in text-based emotion processing focused on the classification of emotions, the construction of a dictionary describing emotion, and the retrieval of those lexica in texts through keyword spotting and/or syntactic parsing techniques. The retrieved or computed emotions based on that process did not show good results in terms of accuracy. Thus, more sophisticate components analysis is proposed and the linguistic factors are introduced in this study. (1) 5 linguistic types of emotion expressions are differentiated in terms of target (verbal/non-verbal) and the method (expressive/descriptive/iconic). The correlations among them as well as their correlation with the non-verbal expressive type are also determined. This characteristic is expected to guarantees more adaptability to our ontology in multi-modal environments. (2) As emotion-related components, this study proposes 24 emotion types, the 5-scale intensity (-2~+2), and the 3-scale polarity (positive/negative/neutral) which can describe a variety of emotions in more detail and in standardized way. (3) We introduce verbal expression-related components, such as 'experiencer', 'description target', 'description method' and 'linguistic features', which can classify and tag appropriately verbal expressions of emotions. (4) Adopting the linguistic tag sets proposed by ISO and TEI and providing the mapping table between our classification of emotions and Plutchik's, our ontology can be easily employed for multilingual processing.
