  • This paper describes the results of structural integrity and crashworthiness of Automatic Guideway Transit(AGT) vehicle made of sandwich composites. The applied sandwich composite of vehicle structure was composed of aluminum honeycomb core and WR580/NF4000 glass fabric/epoxy laminate composite facesheet. Material testing was conducted to determine the input parameters for the composite facesheet model, and the effective equivalent damage model fer the orthotropic honeycomb core material. The finite element analysis using ANSYS v11.0 was dont to evaluate structural integrity of AGT vehicle according to JIS E 7105 and ASCE 21-98. Crashworthiness analysis was carried out using explicit finite element code LS-DYNA3D with the lapse of time. The crash condition was frontal accident with speed of 10km/h at rigid wall. The results showed that the structural integrity and crashworthiness of AGT vehicle were proven under the specified loading and crash conditions. Also, the modified Chang-Chang failure criterion was recommended to evaluate the failure modes of composite structures after crashworthiness event.

  • This paper presents a system that remotely monitors lone seniors at home and promptly alarms caregivers to recommend appropriate medical care services upon detecting abnormal behavior and critical conditions such as collapsing, excessive coughing, degradation of sleep quality, fever, and unusual indoor moving lines. Our system offers contactless monitoring techniques based on heterogeneous IoT sensors and deep learning to minimize the disruption to lone senior's daily life. In addition to the design and implementation of the sensor data collection and analysis system, we share our experience in installation, deployment, configuration, maintenance of the system through the case study conducted on the actual lone seniors living in Seoul Metropolitan. Based on our research, we recommend further development directions to prepare for the nationwide expansion of our system.

  • The present study explores how the quality management rhetoric commonly used by Korean CEOs tends to be composed and perceived by the public. To this end, articles of the remarks of Lee Kun-hee, the second founder of Samsung, are analyzed. The results show a rhetorical structure of quality management where the CEO offers a persuasive theme (quality management for a super-class enterprise) and practical measures (innovation and performance-based promotion) while coping with a rhetorical situation (an economic crisis). A multiple regression analysis of the response of 308 Korean college students who watched a video of Lee's remarks indicates that the more conservative the viewers are and the more they perceive the CEO's charm and expertise, the more likely they are to support the CEO's quality management rhetoric. The conservative viewers favorably responded to the entrepreneurship in the quality management rhetoric, while the progressives recognized the rhetoric as part of Korean-style neoliberalism that alienates ordinary workers.

  • The study is a descriptive research to determine relationships between variables: perceived parenting attitude of nursing students, emotional intelligence, problem-solving ability and look at the effect of perceived parenting attitude on emotional intelligence and problem-solving ability of nursing students. We collected 134 data nursing students who are attending J university in C do and analyzed 126 data of them using the SPSS/WIN 22.0 version. The study period lasted two weeks, going from Nov 29 to Dec 13, 2021. The factor influencing emotional intelligence and problem-solving ability of perceived parenting attitude is emotional warmth attitude(B=.349, p=.001),(B=.255, p=.018) with 25.1%, 22.3% of the total explanatory power. It will need to be informed that emotional warmth attitude of perceived parenting attitude when educating for parents is a important factor to improve emotional intelligence and problem-solving ability of children who are future nurses and be used it as a basic data of parenting education for a desirable parental role.

  • This study is a descriptive research study to analyze factors affecting their intention to use emergency contraceptive pills for nursing students. Data collected using the online questionnaire for 195 nursing students located in J province from February 3, 2021, to February 25, 2021. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0, and the analyses included descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient test, and multiple regression. As a result, the average knowledge about emergency contraceptive pills was 6.78±2.46 out of a total of 12 points, the average attitude 3.04±0.64 out of a total of 5 points, and the average intention to use 4.30±0.90 out of a total of 5 points. These factors were significant predictors of Intention to use emergency contraceptives pills and accounted for 13.4% of the variance. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop an education program for emergency contraceptives in order to prevent unnecessary treatment through appropriate use of emergency contraceptives pills when necessary. And a study to verify the effectiveness of the educational program is suggested.

  • This study intends to present the most optimal interaction in association with available functions if the foldable display is applied to smart devices. For this, I have looked into the flow of development, morphological features and the application areas of the foldable display based on review literature. I have also established five principles of interaction applicable to the foldable display through the study on the concept and characteristics of foldable display interactions and previous research cases. Next, I have conducted user surveys to find the most optimal interactions with the functions of smart devices taken into account. Prior to user surveys, I have classified foldable display interactions into 36 categories based on the five interaction principles of the foldable display. In addition, I have selected 17 major functions of regular smart devices based on relevant documents. Lastly, utilizing concrete interaction methods and functions obtained in this manner, I have conducted user surveys based on the relationship among multiple relevant factors and chosen the interaction method that acquired the highest frequency and score as the most optimal one whose detailed description has been provided as well.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop science essay writing activities for developing elementary pre-service teacher's scientific thinking ability and scientific emotion and to analyze its effects. For the study, 60 first grade students attending teacher training institutes in the G region of Korea were selected. All 60 elementary pre-service teachers were students who selected a liberal arts lecture related to 'science inquiry'. As a result of the study, we confirmed that the preliminary teacher uses the scientific method of 'induction' in the article related to scientific thinking and the description related to the past time, agency, and purpose of the story is included in the essay related to scientific emotion. In addition, it was confirmed that elementary school teachers' writing ability was improved as the writing was repeated, and that the image of 'science' changed positively in many areas. This study suggests that a various and interesting scientific inquiry activities are needed to improve the science writing skills.

  • Integrated analysis of OST and VST of animation Alladin is carried out in this study. The OST is classified into 4 stages (Introduction, Bridge Passage, Climax, and Ending) and their OST and VST characteristics are found for each step. Especially, high dynamic characteristics of OST elements (sound, tonality, tempo, major range, intensity, and instrumentation) and VST elements (image structure, camera shot, camera movement) are found in the Climax stage. Full Shot is highly used up to 47.9% and this helps to show that the two characters become one in the completion stage of love. This is common factor shown in the previous analysis of OST "Beauty and the Beast". It is also found that specific musical instruments are matched to specific characters in "Beauty and the Beast" and high/low position or up/down movement of the object in the screen are matched to specific musical instruments in 'Alladin'.

  • This study is a descriptive research study for clinical nurses to understand the relationship between career anchor, job embeddedness, career motivation and retention intention, and to identify factors that can affect retention intention. A study was conducted between November 1, 2022 and December 30, 2022 with 155 nurses from C and G Regional General Hospitals. Nurses' intention to work was statically correlated with job embeddedness and career motivation. A factor influencing nurses' intention to work was job embeddedness, and the explanatory power of the variable was 25%. We propose repeated studies that diversified the study subjects to identify nurses' career anchor types, which are influencing factors of nurses' job embeddedness, and follow-up studies to develop training and personnel management programs according to career anchor types and verify their effectiveness.
