  • This is a descriptive research to find out the effect of office workers resilience, depression and stress. The research subjects were 123 office workers in one location and data were collected from August 1 to 20, 2018. Collected data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The research results showed negative correlation between office workers resilience and their depression(r=-.195, p=.040), stress (r=-.424, p=.000). Sub-factors of resilience to affect their depression were satisfaction level in their lives (β=-.299, p=.001) and relationship(β=.300 p=.002). Sub-factors of resilience to affect their stress were satisfaction level in their lives(β=-.315, p=.001). This research was helpful to understand office workers resilience and it is necessary to develop a variety of education and training programs to enhance this.

  • As the number of the deaf who go out into the society has been increasing, in most of the lectures, the demands for the sign language interpretation and the accuracy of the interpretation have become more important. Especially, in order to improve the accuracy of the sign language interpretation, the interpreter must be aware of the appearances of the lecturer and the contents of the lecture, and at the same time, the interpreter must look toward the audience. This research introduces a system which can be effective in a small classrooms or auditorium, by providing the maximum information about the lecturer and the contents of the lecture. Also, in order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed system, this research includes the discussions about the related systems and test methods. In conclusion, delivering the images of the lecturer and the contents of the lecture to the interpreter by employing the proposed system has been proved effective.

  • This study was to examine the recognition and guarantee for psychiatric patients' rights of mental health care workers. The participants of this study were 231 mental health care workers from 10 mental health care institutions located in J city, Korea. Data was collected using questionnaires consisting of one instrument measuring participants' recognition and guarantee for psychiatric patients' rights, and participants' characteristics. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA with SPSS 12.0. The results of this study showed the mental healthcare workers' recognition and guarantee were significantly different in every subscales. Besides, the difference between recognition and guarantee toward psychiatric patients' rights was significantly associated with participants' occupations. Based on the findings, guiding where nursing education efforts should be focused to help putting in place the psychiatric patients' rights.

  • This study was to explore demographic, psycho-social and clinical characteristics and the influencing factors on alcohol use of person with severe mental illness in the community. Cross-sectional descriptive design was used to recruit a convenience sample of 176 participants from four community mental health centers in Korea. The collected data were analyzed using t-tests, $x^2$-test, and logistic regression. Depending on the alcohol use (AUDIT-K), participants were divided into the problem alcohol use group (n=54, 30.7%) and normal group (n=122, 69.3%). The problem alcohol use group was significantly more smoking, anxiety, stress, suicidal thought, and had a lower age of onset, phase of rehabilitation, self-efficacy, and others' support. In logistic regression analysis, factors influencing on alcohol use were smoking, age of onset, phase of rehabilitation and others' support. The findings may provide useful information to develop strategies for prevent from alcohol induced the problems in this populations.

  • This study was done to examine the affecting factors of successful aging to provide basic information for developing intervention program for the rural elderly. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive design was used. Data was collected through questionnaire from 208 people with age over 65 residing in an rural community. They were recruited by convenience sampling. Collected data were analyzed by independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression through SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: Explanatory factors affecting the rural elderly's successful aging were social support, depression, cognitive function, productive activity and Activities of daily living, respectively, and these five factors accounted for 42.1% of the variance in successful aging. Conclusion: The rural elderly's successful aging requires establishment of social support system such as health medical service supply and social activities by being connected with social communities, and for this, this study suggests that there be a necessity of developing customized nursing intervention program.

  • This study identified the effect of menstrual attitude, life stress and clinical practice stress on premenstrual syndrome of nursing students. Data were analyzed with the SPSS 22.0 program using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and simple linear regression. Premenstrual syndrome was significantly negative correlated with menstrual attitude (r=.28, p=.004), positive correlated with life stress (r=.31, p=.001) and clinical practice stress (r=.29, p=.003). The factors that influence premenstrual syndrome were regular exercise (β=.-.18, p=.006) and dysmenorrhea (β=.51, p=.000), which explained 38.0%.

  • The paper discusses application of soft OR methodologies, which have been developed for last decades centered in European OR communities, to strategy formation process. It is shown that there is strong similarity in understanding of strategy formation between descriptive school of strategy and the research trend of soft OR. The focus and philosophical background of cognitive school of strategy, in particular, share much in common with soft OR school. The analysis and overview of several soft OR methodologies are introduced. It is also proposed that SODA can be utilized more directly to the strategy formation process. However, it is also noted in this paper that the epistemological issues should be considered and resolved for fluent investigation of soft OR methodologies in relation with existing rich strategic research works, for soft OR adopts interpretative research methods while strategy research generally lies on positivistic approaches.

  • This paper described a centrifuge study in order to investigate ground-underground hollow structure interaction-induced rocking behavior in liquefied ground. Uplift of the underground hollow structures is initiated due to liquefaction in sandy grounds when the ground is exposed to a strong shaking during earthquakes because the apparent unit weight of these structures is smaller than that of the liquefied soil. In order to evaluate the dynamic behavior of the underground hollow structure and the effects of original subsoil during the uplifting, model tests were performed by changing the relative density of the original subsoil and installing an acrylic box as a trench. The results of the present study show that rocking behavior of the underground hollow structure due to shear deformation of the surrounding subsoil or lateral movement from the original subsoil contributed to large magnitude of the uplift due to strong shaking.

  • This paper describes the optimum design of bolt locations for metal joint parts of railway bogie frame made of glass fiber/epoxy 4-harness satin woven laminate composite and PVC foam core. The optimum design analysis was done by sub-problem approximation method using Ansys Parameter Design Language(APDL). The sub-modeling method was introduced to conduct the detailed recalculation for the only target parts and reduce calculating time. The structural analysis for composite bogie frame was performed according to JIS E 4207. The results showed that the optimum design analysis using sub-modeling method was able to obtain faster and more precise results than that of the entire model by the control of mesh size for the target parts, and the maximum Von-Mises stress has been reduced in comparison with its original dimensions due to the optimum design of bolt locations.

  • The risk of the soil and groundwater that contaminated with petroleum is well known. The behaviour of petroleum in subsurface is governed by combined mechanism of several processes such as volatilization, adsorption, dissolution, biodegradation, etc. Large number of methods of remedial investigation and plan, therefore, have been developed and practiced. In application of the method, it is required engineer understands the mechanism of fate of petroleum in subsurface. So sampling procedures is very important for investigating the type of contaminants and their concentration as well as the selection of items that must be tested. For designing the remedial method, it is also required engineers to verify the structural formation of geology and the locational conditions of a land in detail, to familiar with the regulation, and to investigate the problems that can be happened after the performance was begun. In this paper it is shown that the investigation methods of contaminated land and the proper selection procedure of remedial method using the case history.
