Descriptive Statistical Analysis on Grade Characteristics and Employment Rates of Ocean-Related College Students (해양계열 대학생의 성적 특성과 취업률의 서술통계해석)

  • This study presents a descriptive statistical analysis on grade characteristics and employment rates of three ocean-related departments at a university. The ocean-related departments belong to the same college along with the other six departments. To obtain the correlation between the grade characteristics and employment rates, we carried out the followings. Firstly, four-year employment rates and six-semester GPAs (grade point averages) were obtained from the nine departments. Secondly, the box-and-whisker plots were constructed for each data set to capture the grade characteristics (mean, the first quartile, median, third quartile, whisker+, and Q3 box). Finally, the grade characteristics and employment rates were correlated. It is shown from the correlation analysis that the employment rate has a positive linear relation with the mean or third quartile, while the rate has a negative linear relation with the whisker+ or Q3 box, for the ocean-related departments possibly because these departments have higher regular employment rates than those of the other six departments.

  • A small millimeter-wave tracking radar is a pulse radar that searches, detects, and tracks a target in real time through a TWS (Track While Scan) method on a sea-going traps target with a large RCS running at low speed. This paper describes the development of a simulated signal generator to verify the performance of a small millimeter wave tracking radar in laboratory anechoic chamber environment. We describe a GUI program for testing and performance analysis in conjunction with hardware configuration and tracking radar, and verified the simulated signal generator implemented through performance test.

  • 위성의 비행소프트웨어는 위성이 주어진 임무를 수행할 수 있도록 위성을 제어하는 것으로 지상으로부터의 원격 명령을 받아 처리하고 원격측정 데이터를 지상으로 송신하는 기능과 자세 결정 및 제어, 전력 제어, 열 제어, 탑재체 관리 등의 기능을 수행한다. 본 논문은 다목적실용위성 2호의 비행소프트웨어에서 원격측정 데이터를 저장하고 지상으로 전송하는 기능을 수행하는 MMD (Mass Memory and Downlink Management) 소프트웨어의 설계 및 구현 내용과 시험절차, 방법, 시험결과 등에 대해서 서술하였다.

The Chemistry Teachers' Perceptions and Interpretations about Three Acid-Base Models (세 가지 산-염기 모델에 대한 화학교사들의 인식과 해석)

  • This study investigated the perceptions of the relationship among the three acid-base models of chemistry teachers. In addition, we examined how the perception of the relationship between models affected on the interpretation of concepts in each model. To investigate teachers' perceptions and interpretations, a questionnaire and interviews were conducted for 24 chemistry teachers. As results, most of the chemistry teachers recognized the three models as cumulative extension relationships. The perceptions were related to the contents of textbooks. The perception of the relationship of these models influenced on interpretations of the models' acid-base concept. In this study, we suggested that science teachers need to be aware of diverse models' roles.

  • This study is a descriptive survey study conducted to prepare basic data to help improve the overall relation between Holistic nursing attitudes and Cultural competence of nursing students by identifying general characters. According to the study, Holistic nursing attitudes were related to general characters such as satisction with major and grade result. Holistic Nursing attitudes were high when participants agreed to pursue or adopt non-scientific forms of mediation if clients requested such, or responded positively to learning complementary alternative treatment during undergraduate education. Holistic nursing attitudes and Cultural competence was a positive correlation. In control of general characters, Cultural competences influenced have affected the increase in Holistic nursing attutudes. It is consicered necessary to provide education based on awareness of the attitudes to about Holistic nursing.

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생이 성공적으로 임상실습을 경험하여 전문역량을 갖춘 전문인으로서 성장하기 위해 간호대학생의 DISC 행동유형에 따른 임상수행능력을 파악하고자 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구 대상자는 G도 J시 소재 J대학의 간호학과 4학년 학생들이다. 자료수집 기간은 2018년 11월 5일부터 11월 9일까지였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 분석항 결과 대상자의 DISC 행동유형별 임상수행능력 하위 영역별 살펴보면 간호과정은 D형(주도형) $3.67{\pm}0.43$, C형(신중형) $3.66{\pm}0.40$, I형(사교형) $3.61{\pm}0.47$, S형(안정형) $3.55{\pm}0.43$의 순으로 유의한 차이가 나타났고(F=4.03, p=.005), 간호기술은 D형(주도형) $4.03{\pm}0.45$, C형(신중형) $4.02{\pm}0.41$, I형(사교형) $4.01{\pm}0.47$, S형(안정형) $3.91{\pm}0.37$의 순으로 유의한 차이가 나타났으며(F=5.07, p=.001), 전문직 발전영역은 D형(주도형) $3.77{\pm}0.47$, I형(사교형) $3.61{\pm}0.53$, C형(신중형) $3.60{\pm}0.37$, S형(안정형) $3.56{\pm}0.49$의 순으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다(F=5.07, p=.001). 이상의 결과로 간호대학생의 다양성을 이해하고 강점을 개발할 수 있는 기회를 제공해야 할 것이다.

  • 가상/증강현실로 대표되는 공간정보 기반 실감형 콘텐츠에 대한 관심이 증대되면서 객체인식 등의 지능형 공간인지 기술에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 특히 HMD등의 영상 시각화 장치의 발달 및 5G 통신기술의 출현으로 인해 실시간 대용량 영상정보의 송, 수신 및 가시화 처리 기술의 기반이 구축됨에 따라, $360^{\circ}$ 스트리밍 영상정보 처리와 같은 고자유도 콘텐츠를 위한 관련 연구의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 하지만 지능형 영상정보 처리의 대표적 연구인 딥 러닝(Deep Learning) 기반 객체 인식 기술의 경우 대부분 일반적인 평면 영상(Planar Image)에 대한 처리를 다루고 있고, 파노라마 영상(Panorama Image) 특히, $360^{\circ}$ 스트리밍 영상 처리를 위한 연구는 미비한 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 딥 러닝을 이용하여 $360^{\circ}$ 스트리밍 영상에서의 객체인식 연구 방법에 대해 서술한다. 이를 위해 $360^{\circ}$ 카메라 영상에서 딥 러닝을 위한 학습 데이터를 획득하고, 실시간 객체 인식이 가능한 YOLO(You Only Look Once)기법을 이용하여 학습을 한다. 실험 결과에서는 학습 데이터를 이용하여 $360^{\circ}$영상에서 객체 인식 결과와, 학습 횟수에 따른 객체 인식에 대한 결과를 보여준다.

Recent Trends on High-Speed Duobinary Transceiver Architecture (고속 듀오바이너리 송수신단 설계기술 동향)

  • This paper describes high-speed duobinary transceiver design techniques which are widely used to increase data-rate despite limited channel bandwidth. At high data-rate, signal level is severely degraded as signal frequency becomes larger than the channel bandwidth. Mathematically, a duobinary signal has lower frequency components compared to a Non-Return-to-Zero signal for the same data-rate. Therefore, by using the duobinary signaling, the signal loss can be effectively reduced in physical channel environment as compared to the Non-Return-to-Zero signaling. The mathematical basis of duobinary signaling, and its applications to high-speed transceiver design are investigated in this paper.

Spore Diversity of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi in Upo Wetland (우포 습지에 분포하는 수지상균근균 포자의 다양성)

  • We extracted arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) spores from rhizospheres of three plants from Upo Wetland, Korea. We identified the isolated AMF spores based on morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analysis of partial 18S rDNA nucleotide sequences. The species diversity of AMF spores was calculated among the study sites and host plants. Consequently, nine species from six genera of AMF spores were identified. We confirmed the species diversity of the AMF spores in rhizospheres affected by host plants in the wetland. In the course of this study, we confirmed a previously unreported AMF species in Korea: Diversispora epigaea. We described the morphological features and molecular characteristics of this previously unreported AMF species.

A comparison of stress, empathy and communication in stress coping and non-coping group (주관적 스트레스 대처에 따른 스트레스, 공감, 의사소통능력 차이)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare stress, empathy, and communication in stress coping group and non-coping group. The data collected using questionnaires from nursing students. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and Pearson correlation with SPSS 23.0 version. Significantly lower scores for stress (mean, 2.42 vs. 2.97; p=.000), and higher scores for communication (mean 3.33 vs. 3.21; p=.008) were observed in the stress coping group compared with the non-coping group. Further studies need to development and application a program that enhances subjective stress coping methods.
