레이저 공정을 이용한 고온초전도 멀티플렉서의 제작과 특성 분석 (Investigation of Characterization and Fabrication High-Temperature Superconducting Multiplexer by Pulse laser Deposition)

  • To fabricate superconducting multiplexers with narrow pass band characteristics and reduce the physical size of device, we have designed multiplexer using hair-pin type filters with the center frequency of 13.6 GHz. Multiplexers have been fabricated superconductor(HTS), because It has low surface resistance. The $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$(YBCO) films were deposited on MgO substrates$(20{\times}20{\times}0.5mm^3)$ by using pulsed laser deposition and conventional photo-lithographic methods were used to pattern the multiplexer. Epitaxial YBCO films were grown on(100) MgO substrates and showed strongly c_axis orientations observed by X-ray diffraction technique. Superconducting transition temperatures were measured to be about 89K. Simulated results of superconducting multiplexer consisting of hair-pin type filters show the insertion loss of about 1.2dB. The measured frequency response will be compared with the simulated results.

An Efficient Multipaction Analysis of an Output Multiplexer for Satellite Applications

  • In this paper, an efficient multipaction analysis method of a manifold multiplexer for satellite applications is presented. While FEM(Finite Element Method) is used for the multipaction analysis of the lowpass filter, the equivalent circuit model is used for the analysis of the channel filters and the manifold. Employing equivalent circuit model for multipaction analysis takes less time than using EM(Electromagnetic) field analysis method while keeping the accuracy of the multipaction analysis. This present analysis method is applied to the manifold multiplexer for Ka-band satellite transponders and the results show that the present method is as accurate as the conventional EM field analysis method.

  • In this paper, we propose a new queuing model, MMDP/MMDP/1/K, for an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) multiplexer with multiple quality of service(QoS) variable bit rate (VBR) traffic in broadband-integrated services digital network (B-ISDN). We use the Markov Modulated Deterministic Process(MMDP) to approximate the actual arrival process and another MMDP for service process Using queuing analysis, we derive a formula for the cell loss probability of the ATM multiplexer in terms of the limiting probabilities of a Markov chain. The cell loss probability can be used for connection admission control in ATM multiplexer and the calculation of equivalent bandwidth for arrival traffic, The major advantages of this approach are simplicity in analysis, accuracy of analysis by comparison of simulation, and numerical stability.

  • The DMB recently standardized in Korea is a Eureka-147 DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting)-based standard which is able to provide multimedia services including moving pictures, still images, text and etc. That has the structure to add the MPEG media codec and the MPEG system, namely, video-multiplexer to the DAB system. In this paper, we analysis the video-multiplexer of the DMB standard and propose a new multiplexer, namely. M4GM(MPEG-4 General Mux) included in the DMB vido-multiplexer for the performance improvement with respect to the transmission efficiency and the expansible functions. In addition, we simulate the two video-multiplexers and then compare and estimate their performance entirely.

  • This paper propose design and implementation methods of ensemble multiplexer which is the purpose of Terrestrial DMB Conditional Access Service. Also transmit ensemble stream which is scrambled through the proposed ensemble multiplexer, by descrambling or decoding received stream as the scramble mode which is applicated through receiving verfication platform and by desplaying it, verificate the performance of ensemble multiplexer.

  • 最近, 미래의 情報化 社會에서 요구되는 새로운 서어비스 제공을 위한 綜合情報 通信網(integrated services digital network: ISDN)의 重要性이 강조되고 있다. 本 論文에서는 ISDN 加入者 返送裝置를 開發함에 있어, 加入者수용 能力을 제고시키기 위하여 11個의 D채널 多重化 裝置의 基本構造를 提示하였으며 이와함께 data traffic intensity, 信號의 到着 및 길이 分布, buffer overflow probability 등을 硏究하여 效率的으로 데이터를 多重化하기 위한 buffer memory size를 統計的으로 산출하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Ka대역 위성 중계기용 출력 멀티플렉서의 설계 및 제작에 대하여 언급하였다. 출력 멀티플렉서는 저역통과필터, 채널필터, 매니폴드(Manifold)로 구성되어 있으며, 위성 중계기의 무게와 부피를 최소화하기 위하여 채널필터는 이중모드로 설계하였다. 채널별 주파수 선택도를 높이기 위하여 채널필터는 4차 타원 응답형으로 설계하였으며, 저역통과 필터는 13차 corrugated 형으로 설계하였다. 채널필터와 매니폴드의 초기 설계 후 최적화 과정에 있어서 모든 설계 변수를 최적화시키는 대신 일부의 설계 변수만을 최적화시킴으로써 용이하게 최적화 설계할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 제작한 Ka 대역 위성 중계기용 출력 멀티플렉서의 측정결과는 설계결과와 동일한 특성을 나타내었다.

  • Superconducting multiplexer consisting of hairpin type filters has been designed for the reduction of the physical size of the device. Pulsed laser deposition with a Nd:YAG laser has been used to grow high quality YBCO superconducting films on MgO substrates. Multiplexer has been designed to have the center frequencies at 13.6 CHz and 13.9 GHz on MgO substrate with the size of 20 ${\times}$ 20 ${\times}$ 0.5mm$^3$. It is possible to implement superconducting multiplexer having two passbands on the limited 20 ${\times}$ 20 ${\times}$ 0.5mm$^3$ MgO substrate by adopting hairpin type filters. This type of superconducting device will be useful for the integration of microwave subsystem.
