선형외란에 대응하는 인체의 자세응답 해석 (Human Postural Response to Linear Perturbation)

  • Human postural responses appeared to have stereotyped modality, such as ankle mode, knee mode and hip mode in response to various perturbations. We examined whether human postural control gain of full-state feedback could be decoupled along with the eigenvector. To verify the model, postural responses subjected to fast backward perturbation were used. Upright posture was modeled as 3-segment inverted pendulum incorporated with feedback control, and joint torques were calculated using inverse dynamics. Postural modalities such as ankle, knee and hip mode were obtained from eigenvectors of biomechanical model. As oppose to the full-state feedback control, independent eigenvector control assumes that modal control input is determined by the linear combination of corresponding modality. We used optimization method to obtain and compare the feedback gains for both independent eigenvector control and full-state feedback control. As a result, we found that simulation result of eigenvector feedback was not competitive in comparison with that of full-state feedback control. This implies that the CNS would make use of full-state body information to generate compensative joint torques.

  • This study proposed a fault tolerant control algorithm for electro-hydraulic brake systems where permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive is adopted to boost the braking pressure. To cope with motor position sensor faults in the PMSM drive, a braking pressure controller based on an open-loop speed control method for the PMSM was proposed. The magnitude of the current vector was determined from the target braking pressure, and motor rotational speed was derived from the pressure control error to build up the braking pressure. The position offset of the pump piston resulting from a leak in the hydraulic system is also compensated for using the open-loop speed control by moving the piston backward until it is blocked at the end of stroke position. The performance and stability of the proposed controller were experimentally verified. According to the results, the control algorithm can be utilized as an effective means of degraded control for electro-hydraulic brake systems in the case that a motor position sensor fault occurs.

  • A two dimensional large scale laser digitizer with a cordless cursor was developed. The coordinate detecting scheme of this digitizer is fundamentally based on the triangulation method, in which two laser-rays are scanned by the rotating plane mirros, reflected backward by the cursor, reflected again by the rotating mirrors, and detected by optical sensors. From angles in which the cursor reflections are detected, we can determine the position of the cursor. But this method involves several problems about optical alignment and its calibration especially when it is applied to a large scale digitizer. In this paper, especially we propose simulation for error analysis with connection to angles measured at five control points which are needed to decide an appropriate model for calculating coordinates and optimal simulation for deciding the position of five control points to give the better coordinate accuracy. In this way, we realized the on-site calibration and on-site insurance of measurement accuracy with our appropriate model for calculating coordinates. The time required for on-site calibration is within 5 minutes and the average accuracy of 4m * 3m digitizer is about .+-.0.12mm.

  • Amphibious possible, and good fuel economy, so as leisure and transport has increased the use of hovercraft. Fire started in Korea, the prevalence is increasing in demand as the trend has been increasing steadily. In this paper, the hovercraft's forward and backward direction can be controlled in order to free the reverse bucket control system was developed. Control due to development by promoting the flow of air and turn right, turn left and easy to reverse the life-saving and stable at high speed, etc. has made possible the operation of hovercraft. To prove the validity of the proposed controller in Matlab simulation and the actual delivery at the firehouse, built into a model for the demonstration test was performed.

  • A numerical scheme is proposed to control the BBMB (Benjamin-Bona-Mahony-Burgers) equation, and the scheme consists of three steps. Firstly, BBMB equation is converted to a finite set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations by the quadratic B-spline finite element method in spatial. Secondly, the controller is designed based on the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) theory; Finally, the system of the closed loop compensator obtained on the basis of the previous two steps is solved by the backward Euler method. The controlled numerical solutions are obtained for various values of parameters and different initial conditions. Numerical simulations show that the scheme is efficient and feasible.

  • BACnet(Building Automation and Control networks) is a standard data communication network protocol designed specifically for building automation and control systems. BACnet provides BACnet/IP Protocol for data communication through the Internet. BACnet device uses BBMD(BACnet Broadcasting Management Device) to deliver BACnet broadcast messages. In this study, we propose a fault tolerant BBMD in the BACnet/IP protocol. The fault tolerant BBMD improves the connectivity of BACnet/IP networks by inheriting the operation of original BBMD in the networks. The fault tolerant BBMD is implemented with added functions to the original BACnet/IP protocol so that it can provide backward compatibility with the original BACnet/IP devices. We examined the validity of the fault tolerant BBMD using an experimental model.

  • BACnet(Building Automation and Control networks) is a standard data communication protocol designed specifically for building automation and control systems. BACnet provides BACnet/IP Protocol for data communication through the internet. BACnet device transmits BACnet broadcast messages and BACnet/IP messages using conventional IP technologies. Specially, BBMD(BACnet Broadcasting Management Device) is used to deliver BACnet broadcast messages. In this study, we propose a mechanism of fault tolerant BBMD in the BACnet/IP protocol. The Fault Tolerant BBMD mechanism(FTBM) improves the connectivity of BACnet/IP networks by inheriting the operation of BBMD in the networks. The FTBM is implemented with added functions to the original BACnet/IP protocol so that it can be applied together with original BACnet/IP devices. We also prove the FTBM's backward compatibility with original BACnet/IP protocol using experimental analysis.

  • We introduce a new stable feedback controller eventually converges to a conventional SDRE(State Dependent Riccati Equation) based optimal (suboptimal) controller. On conventional SDRE, the optimal control input should be obtained by backward integration of the SDRE at each control point. The proposed controller is given by direct forward integration of a proposed SDRE. This fact enables fast computation and easy implementation. On concerning a state dependent system, the proposed controller may be a candidate to the conventional SDRE based optimal controller if the system is slow varying with states. Though the controller is fast and easy to implement it is not able to cope with a fast varying system.   • Flow defect of a piston-pin for automobile parts is investigated in this study. In combined cold extrusion of piston-pin, lapping defect, which is a kind of flow defect, appears by the dead metal zone. This appearance evidently happens in products with a thin thickness to be pierced for the dimensional accuracy and the decrease of material loss. The flow defect that occurs in piston-pin has bad effects on the strength and the fatigue life of piston-pin. Therefore, it is important to predict and prevent defects in the early stage of process design. The best method that can prevent flow defect is removing or reducing dead metal zone through material flow control. The finite element simulations are applied to analyze the flow defect. This study proposes processes for preventing flow defect by removing dead metal zone. Then the results are compared with the experimental ones for verification. These FE simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental ones.

Binaural Directivity Pattern Simulation of the KEMAR Head Model with Two Twin Hearing Aid Microphones by Boundary Element Method

  • Two twin microphones may produce particular patterns of binaural directivity by time delays between twin microphones. The boundary element method (BEM) was used for the simulation of the sound pressure field around the head model in order to quantify the acoustic head effect. The sound pressure onto the microphone was calculated by the BEM to an incident sound pressure. Then a planar directivity pattern was formed by four sound pressure signals from four microphones. The optimal binaural directivity pattern may be achieved by adjusting time delays at each frequency while maintaining the forward beam pattern is relatively bigger than the backward beam pattern.
