To fulfill applicability of Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model, it is important that this model passes through a careful calibration and uncertainty analysis. In recent years, many researchers have come up with various uncertainty analysis techniques for SWAT model. To determine the differences and similarities of typical techniques, we applied three uncertainty analysis procedures to Chungju Dam watershed (6,581.1 $km^2$) of South Korea included in SWAT-Calibration Uncertainty Program (SWAT-CUP): Sequential Uncertainty FItting algorithm ver.2 (SUFI2), Generalized Likelihood Uncertainty Estimation (GLUE), Parameter Solution (ParaSol). As a result, there was no significant difference in the objective function values between SUFI2 and GLUE algorithms. However, ParaSol algorithm shows the worst objective functions, and considerable divergence was also showed in 95PPU bands with each other. The p-factor and r-factor appeared from 0.02 to 0.79 and 0.03 to 0.52 differences in streamflow respectively. In general, the ParaSol algorithm showed the lowest p-factor and r-factor, SUFI2 algorithm was the highest in the p-factor and r-factor. Therefore, in the SWAT model calibration and uncertainty analysis of the automatic methods, we suggest the calibration methods considering p-factor and r-factor. The p-factor means the percentage of observations covered by 95PPU (95 Percent Prediction Uncertainty) band, and r-factor is the average thickness of the 95PPU band.
The main purpose of this study is to search the water factor which influences to occurrence of the total coliforms. Occurrences rate of the total coliforms and the E coli were 57.9% 10.5% in 2007 and 47.4%, 23.7% in 2008 respectively. According to the result which examines the correlation analysis and a regression analysis, most the water factor which is effect was $Na^+$(0.497, p<0.05) in appearance of the total coliforms and was $Cl^-$(0.622, p<0.01) in appearance of the E coli. The water factor that simultaneously influences to the total coliforms and the E. coli appearances was the $Cl^-$. The predictable regression formula for appearance rate of the total coliforms was expressed as 0.462 + 0.028 [$Na^+$] - 0.644 [$COD_{Mn}$] - 8.889 [$PO_4-P$](R = 0.930, $R^2$ = 0.866, adjusted $R^2$ = 0.839, p<0.05), and that of the E coli was described as -0.012 + 0.004 [$Cl^-$](R = 0.622, $R^2$ = 0.387, adjusted $R^2$ = 0.351, p<0.05).
Bovine theileriosis caused by Theileria sergenti is the tick-borne intraery- throcytic piroplasmosis, that occurs in most regions of Korea. It results in severe economic losses on a farm caused by anemia, milk production loss, abortion and death. This study was undertaken to confirm the effects of the growth hormone and the insulin-like growth factor-I which are associated in the growth of cattle infected by T sergenti. The blood of one hundred and twenty ten-month Holstein was collected and the prepared blood smear was stained with acridine orange to investigate their parasitemia. And the hematological profiles were observed. According to the value of the hematocrit, they were categorized into four groups : Group 1 was under 20 percent, groups 2 and 3 were from over 21 to under 30 percent and from over 31 to under 35 percent and group 4 was over 36 percent. As the value of the hematocrit decreased, parasitemia(%) in erythrocytes was observed to increase(Y=-1.064X + 30.537, r=0.660). The amounts of the growth hormone and the insulin-like growth factor-I in the serum were measured by the radioimmunoassay. The growth hormone in serum of the group 1, group 2, group 3 and group 4 were observed as $0.238{\pm}0.043nmol/l$, $0.21{\pm}0.024nmol/l$, $0.366{\pm}0.035nmol/l$ and $0.646{\pm}0.223nmol/l$, respectively. The quantitative of the insulin-like growth factor-I in the same groups were observed also as $209.686{\pm}18.94ng/ml$, $250.9{\pm}12.609ng/ml$, $279.3{\pm}8.883ng/ml$ and $365.9{\pm}22.45ng/ml$, respectively. It can be concluded that the growth hormone and the insulin-like growth factor-I were observed to decrease in severe anemia due to theileriosis.

The objectives of this study were to classify body types of 40s, 50s, 60s obese women according to body measurements and to investigate relationships between age and body types of obese women. Body measurement was made on 497 obese women in their 40s, 50s, 60s whose BMI (Body Mass Index) was 25.0 or more when directly measured in 'Size Korea 2004'. Data were analyzed through factor analysis, cluster analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient, $X^2$-test, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Duncan's multiple range test. First. the obesity group with BMI being 25.0-30.0 was composed of 23.1% subjects in their 40s, 43.3% subjects in their 50s, and 50.0% subjects in their 60th, which demonstrates that the older subjects were, the higher the distribution was. Adding the high obesity group with BMI being more than 30.0 to the obesity group, women in their 60s were 56.7%, the most of obese bodies. Second, factor analysis of obese women's BMIs revealed that five factors were elicited, including upper-body circumference related factor, height related factor, lower-body circumference related factor, upper-body width related factor, and upper-body related factor. As a result of analyzing the clusters, three types of body shapes were classified including upper-lower obesity, upper obesity, and lower obesity. Third, obese women were thicker or wider than non-obese individuals in those factors including upper-body circumference, lower-body circumference, and body width, and longer in upper-body length, while non-obese individuals were higher or longer than obese individuals in height related factors.

In this study, the piezoelectric ceramics PZT powders were synthesized by Wet-Dry combination method. And the flexible 1-3-0 type composites were favricated with piezoceramic PZT and Eccogel polymer matrix embedded 3rd phase. Dielectric constant of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. Thickness mode coupling factor $k_t$ which was comparable with single phase PZT ceramics, and Mechanical Quality factor $Q_m$ were about 0.65 and 6 respectively. These composites are considered as a good candidates for broad-band type transducer applications. The acoustic impedance for 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. Therefore, these composites would be better used for hydrophone applications.
The variation characteristics of radon concentration, equilibrium equivalent concentration and equilibrium factor in some houses and laboratory buildings have been studied. The variation of equilibrium factor and the unattached fraction of radon progeny with ventilation condition have been also estimated. The averages of radon concentration, equilibrium equivalent concentration and equilibrium factor were $30\;Bq\;m^{-3},\;19.6\;Bq\;m^{-3}$ and 0.65 in seven houses, while $55.0\;Bq\;m^{-3},\;31.9\;Bq\;m^{-3}$ and 0.58 in three laboratory buildings, respectively. The diurnal variation of radon concentration, equilibrium equivalent concentration and equilibrium factor in indoor showed a typical pattern that the radon concentration, equilibrium equivalent concentration and equilibrium factor increased at dawn and morning, while decreased at midday and evening. While the equilibrium factor rate deceased in the indoor environment which was well ventilated, the unattached traction of radon progeny increased. The equilibrium factor was in proportion to air pressure and humidity of indoor, whereas in Inverse proportion to temperature.

(1-X)$(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-XK_{5.4}Cu_{1.3}Ta_{10}O_{29}$ (NKN-KCT) lead-free piezoelectric ceramics have been synthesized by the conventional solid state sintering method, and their sinterability and piezoelectric properties were investigated. Typically, this material is sintered between 1,025 and $1,100^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours to achieve the required densification. Crystalline structures and Microstructures were analyzed by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope. The density, dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}_r$), piezoelectric constant $d_{33}$, electromechanical coupling factor $k_p$ and mechanical quality factor $Q_m$ value of the NKN ceramics depended upon the KCT content and the sintering temperature. In particular, the KCT addition to NKN greatly improved the mechanical quality factor $Q_m$ value. The ceramic with X = 1.0 mol% sintered at $1,050^{\circ}C$ exhibited optimum properties (${\varepsilon}_r$=246, $d_{33}$=95, $k_p$=0.38 and $Q_m$=1,826). These results indicate that the ceramic is a promising candidate material for applications in lead free piezoelectric transformer and filter materials.

Objectives : This study was to evaluate sleep patterns and daytime sleepiness resulting from rotating shiftwork. The authors, also, tried to find out the relationship between the severity of daytime sleepiness and personality factors. Methods : The subjects consisted of 41 female rotating shiftwork nurses and the control group consisted of 39 female day timeworkers. All of them completed the Sleep questionnaire of Korea University Sleep Disorder Clinic, the Epworth Sleepiness Scale(ESS), the 16 Personality Factors(16PF), the Beck Depression Inventory(BDI) and the State Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI). Multiple regression analysis of 16PF of the rotating shiftwork nurses was done to find out possible predictors of the severity of daytime sleepiness. Results : The mean duration of deprived sleep due to rotating shiftwork was $64.26\;{\pm}\;14.54\;min$. The frequency of sleep difficulty($1.24\;{\pm}\;1.17\;day/week$ vs $0.67\;{\pm}\;1.31\;day/week$, p < 0.05), time needed to fall asleep($103.05\;{\pm}\;73.48\;min$. vs $70.00\;{\pm}\;60.08\;min$, p < 0.05), sleep duration when having some difficulties in sleep ($204.25\;{\pm}\;79.90\;min$. vs $280.44\;{\pm}\;111.59\;min$., p < 0.001), recent changes in energy($x^2\;=\;4.16$, p < 0.05), worrying about sleep($x^2\;=\;11.08$, p < 0.05), and taking naps($x^2\;=\;4.98$, p < 0.05) showed significant differences between rotating shiftworkers and normal controls. The ESS socre of shiftworkers ($8.68\;{\pm}\;3.04$) was greater than that of normal controls ($6.86\;{\pm}\;3.04$)(p < 0.01). Personality factors such as C factor($R^2\;=0.283$), I factor($R^2\;=0.358$) and G factor($R^2\;=0.470$) were related with the severity of the daytime sleepiness(p < 0.001). Conclusions : The rotating shiftwork nurses had more difficulties in sleep such as having difficulties in falling asleep and in maintaining sleep, and showed lowered energy, decreased senses of well-being and so on. The rotating shiftwork nurses experienced more severe daytime sleepiness than controls did. Personality factors, such as C factor, I factor, and G factor of 16PF were suggested to be useful for predicting the severity of daytime sleepiness resulting from rotating shiftwork.
Feasibility of microbial culture media using by-product of salt fermented kanary was investigated. Gram negative strain, Escherichia coli, and Gram positive strain, Bacillus subtilis, and bioluminescent Photobacterium Phosphoreum were incubated with kanary by-Product media (KB media). Compared with LB media, KB media had enough carbon source, but lacked nitrogen source and growth factor. When 0.5% of peptone as a nitrogen source and 0.3% of yeast extract as nitrogen and growth factor source were fortified in KB media, the cell population rate was similar to LB media. Also, when 0.5% of yeast extract was fortified to KB media, it showed the same result as in LB media. The price of KB media with fortification of 0.5% peptone and 0.3% yeast extract, and 0.5% of yeast extract is only 46 and 19% of that of LB media, respectively. These results showed that kanary by-Product could be a good and cheaper bacterial culture media if small amount of nitrogen source and growth factor were added.
