아미노실란과 이온성 액체로 표면 기능화된 실리카에 담지된 메탈로센 촉매 합성 및 에틸렌 중합 (Preparation of Metallocene Catalysts Supported on Aminosilane and Ionic Liquids Functionalized Silica and its Ethylene Polymerization)

  • 3-Aminopropyltrimethoxysilane(1NS) 또는 N-[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ethylenediamine(2NS)으로 표면 기능화된 실리카에 1-butyl-4-methylpyridinium chloride(Cl)와 tributylmethylammonium chloride(Amm), benzyldimethyltetradecylammonium chloride(Ben), 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium chloride(Pyr)와 같은 이온성 액체를 이용하여 표면처리한 후 메탈로센 촉매를 담지하여 에틸렌 중합을 실시하였다. $SiO_2/1NS/IL/(n-BuCp)_2ZrCl_2$ 촉매와 $SiO_2/2NS/IL/(n-BuCp)_2ZrCl_2$ 촉매의 Zr 함량은 아미노실란 화합물로만 표면 처리된 촉매보다 감소하였다. $SiO_2/1NS/IL/(n-BuCp)_2ZrCl_2$ 촉매의 중합 활성은 $SiO_2/1NS/(n-BuCp)_2ZrCl_2$ 촉매보다 증가하였다. 반면, $SiO_2/2NS/IL/(n-BuCp)_2ZrCl_2$은 Zr 함량의 감소로 중합 활성은 $SiO_2/2NS/(n-BuCp)_2ZrCl_2$ 촉매에 비해 감소하였다.

SiO2와 3Y-TZP 첨가가 지르콘의 기계적 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of SiO2 and 3Y-TZP on Mechanical Properties of Zircon)

  • Zircon, having excellent thermal, chemical, and mechanical properties, is utilized in refractory materials, electronic materials, chemical machines, structural materials, etc. However, zircon generally shows thermal dissociation to zirconia($ZrO_2$) and silica($SiO_2$) around the sintering temperature of $1540^{\circ}C$, and when zircon particles are small and impurities are present, thermal dissociation is known to occur at around $1100^{\circ}C$. This reduces the mechanical properties of $ZrSiO_4$. In this research, the effect of adding $SiO_2$ and 3Y-TZP to $ZrSiO_4$ has been studied in order to suppress dissociation and improve the mechanical properties. Addition of $SiO_2$ suppressed the dissociation of $ZrSiO_4$ at lower temperatures. It also enabled optimum packing between the particles, resulting in a dense microstructure and good mechanical properties. When 3Y-TZP was added, recombination with the dissociated $SiO_2$ resulted in good mechanical properties by suppressing the generation of pores and the densification of the microstructure.

Pt-MnOx/ZrO2-SiO2 촉매에서 수소에 의한 일산화질소의 선택적 촉매 환원반응 (Selective Catalytic Reduction of NO by H2 over Pt-MnOx/ZrO2-SiO2 Catalyst)

  • 지르코니아를 고정한 실리카($ZrO_2-SiO_2$)와 망가니즈 산화물($MnO_x$)에 백금을 담지하여 제조한 촉매에서 수소에 의한 일산화질소의 선택적 촉매 환원($H_2$-SCR) 반응을 조사하였다. $Pt-MnO_x$ 촉매에서는 NO 전환율이 낮으며, $N_2O$$NO_2$ 생성이 억제되었다. 반면, $Pt/ZrO_2-SiO_2$ 촉매에서는 NO 전환율이 높지만, $100{\sim}150^{\circ}C$에서는 $N_2O$가, $200{\sim}300^{\circ}C$에서는 온도가 높아지면 $NO_2$ 수율이 높아져, $N_2$ 수율이 낮았다. $ZrO_2-SiO_2$$MnO_x$와 백금을 같이 담지한 $Pt-MnO_x/ZrO_2-SiO_2$촉매에서는 $100{\sim}150^{\circ}C$에서 이들 성분의 상승작용으로 $N_2$ 수율이 조금 높아졌다. 이들 촉매에서 표면 조성, 산화 상태, 산성도를 조사하고, NO가 흡착되어 수소와 반응하는 과정의 IR 스펙트럼을 그렸다. NO의 $H_2$-SCR 반응에서 전환율과 생성물 수율을 촉매 구성 성분의 촉매작용과 연계지어 고찰하였다.

$Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_{3}$를 첨가한 $\beta$-SiC-$ZrB_2$ 복합체의 특성 (Properties of the $\beta$-SiC-$ZrB_2$ Composites with $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_{3}$ additives)

  • The electrical resistivity and mechanical properties of the hot-pressed and annealed ${\beta}$-SiC+39vol.%$ZrB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites were investigated as a function of the liquid forming additives of $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_{3}$(6:4wt%). In this microstructures. no reactions were observed between $\beta$-SiC and $ZrB_2$, and the relative density is over 97.6% of the theoretical density. Phase analysis of composites by XRD revealed mostly of a $\alpha$-SiC(6H, 4H), $ZrB_2$ and weakly $\beta$-SiC(15R) phase. The fracture toughness decreased with increased $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_{3}$ contents and showed the highest for composite added with 4wt% $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_{3}$ additives. The electrical resistivity increased with increased $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_{3}$ contents because of the increasing tendency of pore formation according to amount of liquid forming additives $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_{3}$. The electrical resistivity of composites is all positive temperature coefficient resistance(PTCR) against temperature up to $700^{\circ}C$.

용액 공정 기반 ZrO2 절연막을 사용한 IGZO 박막 트랜지스터의 전기적 특성 향상 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 용액 공정 기반 ZrO2 절연막의 우수한 특성을 확인하기 위해 SiO2 절연막을 가지는 IGZO (Indium-Gallium-Zinc Oxide) 박막 트랜지스터와 비교했다. In:Ga:Zn=1:1:1의 비율의 0.3 M IGZO 용액과 0.2 M ZrO2용액을 사용하였다. ZrO2 박막 트랜지스터는 0.2M ZrO2 용액을 5번 반복 증착하며 140nm 두께의 ZrO2 절연막을 가지는 IGZO 박막 트랜지스터와 비교대상으로 동일한 두께의 SiO2의 절연막을 가지는 IGZO 박막 트랜지스터를 제작하였다. ZrO2 박막 트랜지스터의 문턱전압은 4.3V로 SiO2 박막 트랜지스터의 -6.1V보다 낮았고, 이동도는 $1.2356cm^2/V{\cdot}s$$0.0554cm^2/V{\cdot}s$ 보다 약 20배 높았다. 실험 결과를 통해 ZrO2를 절연막으로 사용한 박막 트랜지스터의 특성이 더 향상되었음을 확인하였다.

Study on Sliding Wear Characteristics and Processing of MoSi

  • In this study, a monolithic MoSi2 matrix reinforced with 20 vol% SiC particles, a SiC/MoSi2 composite matrix reinforced with 20 vol% ZrO2 particles, and a ZrO2/MoSi2 composite were fabricated using hot press sintering at $1350^{\circ}C$ for 1 h under a pressure of 30 MPa. The Vickers hardness and sliding wear resistance of the monolithic MoSi2, ZrO2/MoSi2, and SiC/MoSi2 composite were investigated at room temperature. A wear behavior test was carried out using a disk-type wear tester with a silicon nitride ball. The ZrO2/MoSi2 composite showed an average Vickers hardness value and excellent wear resistance compared with the monolithic MoSi2 and SiC/MoSi2 composite at room temperature.

조핵제 원료에 따른 Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2계 결정화 유리 특성 (The properties of glass ceramics of Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2 system according to nucleation agent)

  • 조핵제 역할을 하는 지르코늄의 원료로써 $ZrO_2$(지르코늄 옥사이드), $ZrSiO_4$(지르코늄 실리케이트), $ZrOCl_2$(지르코늄 옥시클로라이드), $Zr(SO_4)_2$(지르코늄 서페이트) 4종류의 원료를 사용하여 $Li_2O-Al_2O_3-SiO_2$계 결정화 유리를 제조하였다. 동일한 조성의 모든 유리에서 Avrami 상수는 3 이상으로 체적 결정화가 진행됨을 확인하였다. 또한 $ZrOCl_2$, $Zr(SO_4)_2$를 사용하여 제조한 유리는 용융 과정에서 미용융물이 발생하지 않으며 지르코늄 성분이 균일하게 분포되었음을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 성분 분석, 굽힘 강도를 연계하여 평가하였다.

  • Glass in the ZrO2-SiO2 system containing up to 30mol% ZrO2 were prepared by heating the gel made from the mixed solutions of Zr(OC3H7)4 and partial hydrolysed Si(OC2H5)4. As a result, the monolith gel was made from the HCl and water content as 2.7$\times$10-3 and 8 molar ratio to alkoxide and drying temoperature as 4$0^{\circ}C$. Heating rate of dry gel maintained under 0.5$^{\circ}C$/min and heating at a temperature as 90$0^{\circ}C$ was found to be for making the transparent glass.

  • Fracture toughness of particulate composites of Al2O3/SiC, Al2O3/ZrO2 and Al2O3/ZrO2/SiC was analysed theoretically. According to the suggested particle bridging model for obtaining the R-curve height, the crack extension resistance for the long crack was linearly proportional to the residual calmping stress at the interface between the second phase and the matrix. It was also a function of the particle size and the content. It was confirmed that the rising R-curve behavior of Al2O3 containing 30 vol% SiC particles of 3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ was owing to the strong crack bridging by SiC particles. For Al2O3/ZrO2/SiC composites, the tensional stress from the 3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ SiC particles was large enough to activate the spontaneous transformation of the ZrO2. The crack extension resistance due to the particle bridging mechanism did not seem to be affected much by the coupled toughening, but its resultant toughness increase could be significantly smaller due to the dependency on the matrix toughness.

졸-겔법에 의한 ZrO$_2$-SiO$_2$계의 가수분해 (Hydrolysis of ZrO2-SiO2 System by the Sol-Gel Method)

  • Monolithic gels in the ZrO2-SiO2 system containing up to 30 mol% ZrO2 were prepared from the mixed solutions of Zr(O.nC3H7)4 and partially prehydrolyzed Si(OC2H5)4 (Tetraethyl orthosilicate) by the sol-gel method. The effect of parameters such as the hydrolysis temperature, the amount of water and HCl on the hydrolysis condensation process was investigated and the obtained gels were studied by the IR spectra and TG-DTA. The results showed that the gelation time becomes shorter with increasing content of HCl, H2O and gelation temperature, and that the polymerization was more easily completed with the higher water volume causing the elimination of unreacted organic groups.
