CBD법에 의한 ZnS 박막 성장의 하이드라진 효과 (Effect of Hydrazine as a Complex Agent on the Growth of ZnS Thin Film by Using Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD))

  • We prepared ZnS thin films via chemical bath deposition (CBD) in an aqueous solution of ammonia ($NH_3$) and hydrazine ($N_2H_4$). The composition ratio of hydrazine used was 0%, 17%, 22%, 29%, or 50%. We investigated the effects of hydrazine and ammonia on the growth, and the structural and optical properties of ZnS in terms of surface uniformity, voids, and grain size. We found that during the growth of ZnS films, hydrazine was very effective for improving the surface morphology and layer uniformity with fast layer formation, while it had no effect on the bandgap energy, $E_g$.

Self-Illuminated Smart Window Based on Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal Mixed with Cu-doped ZnS

  • Novel self-illuminated smart windows were fabricated consisting of Cu-doped ZnS (ZnS:Cu) powder and polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC). This smart window shows not only switchable transparency but also self-illumination without any attachable luminous body. Its electro-optical characteristics, transmittance, and luminance were investigated in relation to various applied voltages and composition ratios. The optical transmittance and luminous intensity increased with increasing applied voltages. However, the optical transmittance decreased with increasing ZnS:Cu powder content. One of the self-illuminated smart windows, which was fabricated with 9 wt% of ZnS:Cu, achieved the optical transmittance of 60.5% (at 550 nm) and the luminance of 11.0 cd/m2 at 100 V. This smart window could be used as a normal switchable smart window in daytime and light-emitting signage at night.

낙동강 하류(물금)와 세 지류에서 분리된 우점 세균의 증식에 미치는 금속(Cd & Zn) 및 그 질소 화합물의 영향 (Effect of metals(Cd & Zn) and its nitrogen compounds on growth of bacteria isolated from the three tributaries and lower reach(Mulgum) of the Nakdong River)

  • 1999년 5월부터 12월까지 한달 간격으로 부산ㆍ경남 인근의 주요 취수원인 물금취수장과 낙동강 중ㆍ하류에 위치한 지류 세 지점(남강, 황강, 금호강)에서 생균수와 우점종을 밝혀내고, 배양을 통해 우점종의 증식에 미치는 중금속의 영향을 실험하였다. 조사기간동안 지류별 생균수의 평균값(log$_{10}$)은 물금에서 가장 낮았고(3.4 CFU), 황강(3.709 CFU), 남강, 금호강 순으로 나타났다. 특히, 금호강 지점은 다른 지점보다 월등하게 높은 값을 보여주었다. 전 지점에서 Staphylococcus가 가장 우점하는 것으로 나타났으며, P. pneumotropica, S. lentus, Micrococcus spp.가 차점종으로 나타났다. 전 조사 지점의 공통 우점종을 배양하면서 이들의 증식에 미치는 중금속의 영향을 실험한 결과 남강에서 분리된 Micrococcus. spp.는 Cd과 Zn분말 및 질소화합물에 대해 전반적으로 증식이 억제되는 것으로 나타났다. P. pneumotropica는 Cd과 Zn분말 첨가했을 때 증식억제가 뚜렷하게 일어났으나, 각각의 질소 화합물에 대해서는 증식이 대조군과 유사하거나, 보다 낮은 증식억제력을 나타내었다. A. hydrophilla도 Cd과 Zn분말, Zn(NO$_3$)$_2$6$H_2O$에 대해 증식이 크게 억제되었으나, Cd(NO$_3$)$_2$4$H_2O$ 첨가 시 대조군 증식 곡선에 비해 증식력이 1/3~2/3에 불과했다. S. lentus는 분리된 시기마다 증식억제력에 차이를 보였으나, Cd과 Zn분말 그리고 그 화합물에 대해 증식억제력이 대체로 낮은 것으로 나타났다.다.

  • ZnO epilayer were synthesized by the pulesd laser deposition(PLD) process on $Al_2O_3$ substrate after irradiating the surface of the ZnO sintered pellet by the ArF(193nm) excimer laser. The substrate temperatures was $400^{\circ}C$. The crystalline structure of epilayer was investigated by the photoluminescence and double crystal X-ray diffraction (DCXD). The carrier density and mobility of ZnO epilayer measured with Hall effect by van der Pauw method are $8.27{\times}10^{16}\;cm^{-3}\;and\;299\;cm^2V{\cdot}s$ at 293 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the ZnO obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation, $E_g(T)\;=\;3.3973\;eV\;-\;(2.69{\times}10^{-4}\;eV/K)T^2/(T\;+\;463K)$. After the as-grown ZnO epilayer was annealed in Zn atmospheres, oxygen and vaccum the origin of point defects of ZnO atmospheres has been investigated by the photoluminescence(PL) at 10 K. The native defects of $V_{Zn}$, Vo, $Zn_{int}$, and $O_{int}$ obtained by PL measurements were classified as a donors or accepters type.

ZnO 박막 성장과 광학적 특성 분석을 위한 펄스 레이저증착(PLD)방법 적용 (Application of Pulsed Laser Deposition Method for ZnO Thin Film Growth and Optical Properties)

  • ZnO epilayer was synthesized by the pulsed laser deposition(PLD) process on Al$_2$O$_3$ subsorte after irradiating the surface of ZnO sintered pellet by ArF(193nm) excimer laser. The epilayers of ZnO were achieved on sapphire(A1203) substrate at the 境mperature of 400$^{circ}$C. Also, we confirmed that vacuum in ZnO/Al$_2$O$_3$ did not firm the native defects because vacuum in ZnO thin films existed in the form of stable bonds.

Ni-Mn-Zn Spinel Ferrite-Rubber Composite의 전파흡수특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Electromagnetic Wave Absorbing Properties of Ni-Mn-Zn Spinel Ferrite-Rubber Composite)

  • In this paper, ferrite-rubber composite has been studied in order to apply to RF-A-PF in a super wideband electromagnetic absorber in RF-A-PF type, which can be used for a general purpose anechoic chamber. $Ni_x - Mn_0.1 - Zn_{(1-x-0.1)}ㆍFe_2O_4$ ferrite powder has been fabricated, then, using this, 〔$Ni_x - Mn_0.1 - Zn_{(1-x-0.1)}ㆍFe_2O_4$〕-Rubber composite for RF-layer in the RF-A-PF type absorber has been fabricated and it's characteristics have been analyzed. As a result, it has been clearly shown that the 〔$Ni_x - Mn_0.1 - Zn_{(1-x-0.1)}ㆍFe_2O_4$〕-Rubber composite has excellent electromagnetic wave absorbing properties.

Reaction Path of Cu2ZnSnS4 Nanoparticles by a Solvothermal Method Using Copper Acetate, Zinc Acetate, Tin Chloride and Sulfur in Diethylenetriamine Solvent

  • $Cu_2ZnSnS_4$ (CZTS) nanoparticles were synthesized by a solvothermal method using copper (II) acetate, zinc acetate, tin chloride, and sulfur in diethylenetriamine solvent. Binary sulfide particles such as CuS, ZnS, SnS, and $SnS_2$ were obtained at $180^{\circ}C$; single-phase CZTS nanoparticles were obtained at $280^{\circ}C$. CZTS nanoparticles with spherical shape and grain size of 40 to 60 nm were obtained at $280^{\circ}C$. In the middle of 180 and $280^{\circ}C$, CZTS and ZnS phases were found. The time variation of reaction at $280^{\circ}C$ revealed that an amorphous state formed first instead of binary phases and then the amorphous phase was converted to crystalline CZTS state; it is different reaction path way from conventional solid-state reaction path of which binary phases react to form CZTS. CZTS films deposited and annealed from single-phase nanoparticles showed porous microstructure and poor adhesion. This indicates that a combination of CZTS and other flux phase is necessary to have a dense film for device fabrication.

ZnO/SiO2 나노 입자의 화학적 합성과 광촉매 및 항균성 특성에 관한 연구 (Preparation of ZnO/SiO2 Nano-Composition and Photocatalysts and Antibacterial Activity)

  • 본 논문은 $ZnO/SiO_2$를 나노 복합체(nano-compositions : NCs) 크기로 상온에서 화학적 방법으로 합성하였다. ZnO는 초음파 합성법으로 제조를 하였으며, $SiO_2$는 침전 방법을 이용하여 제조 하였다. $ZnO/SiO_2$의 구조적인 특성을 파악하기 위해 X-선회절 분석기(XRD), 주사전자현미경(FE-SEM), 푸리에 변환 적외선 스펙트럼(FT-IR)를 이용하여 $ZnO/SiO_2$가 형성되는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 광촉매적 특성을 판단하기 위해 $SiO_2$의 농도별로 제조된 $ZnO/SiO_2$를 Rhodamine-B 시약을 이용하여 광촉매 특성을 평가하였다. 그 결과 $SiO_2$의 농도가 증가할수록 광촉매 특성이 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 $ZnO/SiO_2$를 가지고 항균성 실험을 진행하였다. 실험에 사용된 균(cell)은 대장균(E. coli)과 황색포도상구균(S. aureus)이다. 표면의 $SiO_2$층에 따른 항균 성실험을 진행한 결과 $SiO_2$ 층이 증가 할수록 항균 효과가 증가하는 것을 확인 할 수 있다.

습식산화법을 이용한 제강분진 내 아연회수에 관한 연구 (The Study of Hydrometallurgical Process for Recovery of Zinc from Electric Arc Furnace Dust)

  • In this study the optimum conditions for recovery of valuable metal in Electric Arc Furnace Dusts were investigated. 2M of $H_2SO_4$, 1~5 of solid/liquid ratio, 0~180 min of leaching time has been established for leaching condition, and for electrowinning, each of Pt, C, Zn, Pb anode and Zn, Cu cathode was compared respectively at pH 2, 4 and 6. The result of elemental analysis of Zn crystal, a lagre quantity of Fe and H has been observed with Zn and other heavy metal, therefore, impurities removing process would be requir for enhancing purity of Zn. As the result, about 60% of Zn has been recovered under condition of 2 M of $H_2SO_4$, 1:2 of S/L ratio at 120 min, and Pt or Pb for anode, Zn for cathode has been shown the highest efficiency of electrowinning at pH 6.

Effects of Feeding Different Chelated Copper and Zinc Sources on Growth Performance and Fecal Excretions of Weanling Pigs

  • Two feeding trials were conducted to study the effects of different chelated copper and zinc compounds on the performance and fecal excretions of weanling pigs. In Exp. 1, 150 weanling pigs ($L{\times}Y{\times}D$, $12.30{\pm}2.07kg$) were randomly assigned to five dietary treatments: 170 ppm Cu from $CuSO_4$, 85 ppm Cu from Cu amino-chelate (CAC), 170 ppm Cu from CAC, 85 ppm Cu from Cu-Lysine (CL), and 170 ppm Cu from CL. In Exp. 2, 150 weanling pigs ($L{\times}Y{\times}D$, $12.52{\pm}1.80kg$) were randomly assigned to five dietary treatments: 120 ppm Zn from $ZnSO_4$, 60 ppm Zn from Zn-amino-chelate (ZAC), 120 ppm Zn from ZAC, 60 ppm Zn from Zn-Methionine (ZM), and 120 ppm Zn from ZM. In both experiments, pigs were randomly distributed to the treatments following a randomized complete block design on the basis of body weight as the blocking variable. Each experiment was conducted for 28 days. Blood and fecal samples were collected to determine mineral contents as affected by the dietary treatments. There was no difference (p>0.05) in ADG and ADFI among treatments, but F/G was improved (p<0.05) in pigs fed diet with 170 ppm CAC than 85 ppm CL but not different (p>0.05) to the control (170 ppm $CuSO_4$). Regardless of copper source, concentration of Cu in serum and feces were higher in pigs fed diet with 170 ppm Cu than pigs fed diet with 85 ppm Cu (Exp 1). In Exp 2 the ADG was higher (p<0.05) in pigs fed diet with 120 ppm ZM than in pigs fed diets with 120 ppm $ZnSO_4$ and 60 ppm ZAC and ZM. The serum zinc concentration was generally higher (p<0.05) in pigs fed diet with organic source than the control group ($ZnSO_4$). Also, there was a trend towards a decrease in fecal excretions of zinc when dietary zinc level was low. The efficacy of the two chelated copper and zinc sources is similar in terms of growth performance. The fecal excretions for Cu and Zn could be reduced in pigs fed low level of these minerals using organic sources.
