  • In this paper, we introduce a new photodetector configuration that automatically aligns its receiving angle to the incident signal light. Around the central photodiode that receives the optical signal, 4 photodiodes on ${\Phi}$-axis and 2 photodiodes on $\theta$-axis are installed in order to drive 2 step motors in f and $\theta$ direction. The photodetector completes angle-alignment within Isec to the signal light from an arbitrary direction.

  • In this paper, we propose the jackknife estimator and the bootstrap estimator of Gini index of the two-parameter exponential distribution when the location parameter $\theta$ is unknown and the scale parameter $\sigma$is known. Sinilarly, we propose the bias location parameter $\theta$ and the scale parameter $\sigma$ are unknown. The bootstrap estimator is more efficient than the other estimators when the location parameter $\theta$is unknown and the scale parameter $\sigma$ is known, and the bias corrected estimator is more efficient than the MLE when both the location parameter $\theta$ and the scale parameter $\sigma$are unknown.

  • Laminar natural convection heat transfer from a hot body in a square enclosure has been stooled for various inclination angles at $Gr=1.5{\times}10^5$, Pr= 0.71 and $k_s/k_f=14710$. The area of a hot body is 1/25 of the enclosure and the aspect ratio is 1.0. The total mean Nusselt number decreases as the inclination angle increases and in case of ${\theta}=90^{\circ}$ is 14% lower than that of ${\theta}=0^{\circ}$.

  • This study presents the angular effects of virtual vertices inserted for effective treatment of the boundary edge laid on an infinite conducting surface in a half-space scattering problem. We investigated the angular effects of virtual vertices by first computing the radar cross section (RCS) of a specific scatterer; i.e., a tilted conducting plate in contact with the ground surface, by inserting the virtual vertex in half-space. Here, the electric field integral equation is used to solve this problem with various virtual vertex angles (${\theta}_{\nu}$) and conducting plate inclination angles (${\theta}_r$) ranging from $0^{\circ}$ to $180^{\circ}$. The effects of the angles ${\theta}_{\nu}$ and ${\theta}_r$ on the RCS computation are clearly shown with numerical results with and without the virtual vertices in free- and half-spaces.

  • Involving the Ricci curvature and the squared mean curvature, we obtain a basic inequality for a submanifold of an S-space form tangent to structure vector fields. Equality cases are also discussed. As applications we find corresponding results for almost semi-invariant submanifolds, $\theta$-slant submanifolds, anti-invariant submanifold and invariant submanifolds. A necessary and sufficient condition for a totally umbilical invariant submanifold of an S-space form to be Einstein is obtained. The inequalities for scalar curvature and a Riemannian invariant $\Theta_k$ of different kind of submanifolds of a S-space form $\tilde{M}(c)$ are obtained.

  • Given a system of smooth 1-forms $\theta$ = ($\theta^1$,...,$\theta^s$) on a smooth manifold $M^m$, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for M to be foliated by integral manifolds of dimension n, n $\leq$ p := m - s, and construct an integrable supersystem ($\theta,\eta$) by finding additional 1-forms $\eta$ = ($\eta^1$,...,$\eta^{p-n}$). We also give a necessary and sufficient condition for M to be foliated by reduced submanifolds of dimension n, n $\geq$ p, and construct an integrable subsystem ($d\rho^1$,...,$d\rho^{m-n}$) by finding a system of first integrals $\rho=(\rho^1$,...,$\rho^{m-n})$. The special case n = p is the Frobenius theorem on involutivity.

  • In this paper, using a simple formula, we evaluate the conditional Fourier-Feynman transforms and the conditional convolution products of cylinder type functions, and show that the conditional Fourier-Feynman transform of the conditional convolution product is expressed as a product of the conditional Fourier-Feynman transforms. Also, we evaluate the conditional Fourier-Feynman transforms of the functions of the forms exp {$\int_{O}^{T}$ $\theta$(s,$\chi$(s))ds}, exp{$\int_{O}^{T}$ $\theta$(s,$\chi$(s))ds}$\Phi$($\chi$(T)), exp{$\int_{O}^{T}$ $\theta$(s,$\chi$(s))d${\zeta}$(s)}, exp{$\int_{O}^{T}$ $\theta$(s,$\chi$(s))d${\zeta}$(s)}$\Phi$($\chi$(T)) which are of interest in Feynman integration theories and quantum mechanics.

  • Let be $X_1$,...,$X_p$, $p\geq2$ independent random variables where each $X_i$ has a gamma distribution with $\textit{k}_i$ and $\theta_i$ The problem is to simultaneously estimate $\textit{p}$ gamma parameters $\theta_i$ and $\theta_i{^-1}$ under entropy loss where the parameters are believed priori. Hierarch ical Bayes(HB) and empirical Bayes(EB) estimators are investigated. And a preference of HB estimator over EB estimator is shown using Gibbs sampler(Gelfand and Smith 1990). Finally computer simulation is studied to compute the risk percentage improvements of the HB estimator and the estimator of Dey Ghosh and Srinivasan(1987) compared to UMVUE estimator of $\theta^{-1}$.

  • In this study, microstructure and mechanical properties for the friction stir welded 2519Al-T87 alloy of the thickness of 38.8mm were studied using DSC, OM, SEM and micro hardness tester. DSC analysis show that GP Zone, ${\theta}'$ and $\theta$ phases in upper part and ${\theta}'$ and $\theta$ phase in lower part of the FSW zone. Recrystallized large grains are observed in HAZ, and elongated small and large grain in the TMAZ. In SZ, very small grains forms by high plastic deformation and heat from friction by tool and specimen.
