전기화학적 공정의 운전인자에 따른 산화제 생성과 염료 분해 특성 (Characteristic of Oxidants Production and Dye Degradation with Operation Parameters of Electrochemical Process)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate electro-generation of free Cl, $ClO_2$, $H_2O_2$ and $O_3$ and degradation of Rhodamine B in solution using Ru-Sn-Sb electrode. Electrolysis was performed in one-compartment reactor using a dimensionally stable anode(DSA) of Ru-Sn-Sb/Ti as the working electrode. The effect of applied current (0.5-3 A), electrolyte type (NaCl, KCl, HCl, $Na_2SO_4$ and $H_2SO_4$) and concentration (0.5-2.5 g/L), air flow rate (0-3 L/min) and solution pH (3-11) was evaluated. Experimental results showed that concentration of 4 oxidants was increased with increase of applied current, however optimum current for RhB degradation was 2 A. The generated oxidant concentration and RhB degradation of the of Cl type-electrolyte was higher than that of the sulfate type. The oxidant concentration was increased with increase of NaCl concentration and optimum NaCl dosage for RhB degradation was 1.75 g/L. Optimum air flow rate for the oxidants generation and RhB degradation was 2 L/min. $ClO_2$ and $H_2O_2$ generation was decreased with the increase of pH, whereas free Cl and $O_3$ was not affected by pH. RhB degradation was increase with the pH decrease.

  • In this study, the Tx(Transmitting) and Rx(Receiving) band pass filter for personal communication services was constructed and designed using .lambda./4 TEM mode dielectric resonators. Band pass filter was composed of ceramics resonators which has been developed using ($Zr_{0.65}$,$Sn_{0.35}$) $Ti_{1.04}$ $O_{4.04}$ ceramic and Unloaded-Q ( $Q_{o}$) of .lambda./4 TEM mode dielectric resonator with inner hole size 0.9mm and external size 3mm using silver electrode is 354.5 at 1.95GHz. For the band pass filter design and construction, the design theory and simulation results of band pass filter using J-inverter theory have been studied. The parameters which are evaluated by design theory are practically applied to the filter construction and the simulation results are in agreement with the measured results after fine tunnings.s.s.s.s.s.

치과용 아말감의 산화환원에 관한 전기화학적 연구 (AN ELECTROCHEMICAL STUDY ON THE OXIDATION' AND REDUCTION OF DENTAL AMALGAM)

  • The purpose of this study was to observe corrosion characteristics of six dental amalgams and was to analyse corrosion products electrochemically. After each amalgam alloy and Hg was triturated as the direction of the manufacturer by using mechanical amalgamator, the triturated mass was inserted into the cylinderical metal mold ($12{\times}10mm$) and was condensed with 160kg/$cm^2$ by using the hydrolic press. The specimen was removed from the mold and was stored at room temperature for 1 week, and was polished with amalgam polishing kit. The anodic and cathodic polarization curve was obtained by using cyclic voltammetric method with 3-electrode potentiostat in saline for each amalgam and Ag, Sn, Cu plate specimen at $37{\pm}0.5^{\circ}C$. The potential sweep range was -1.7V~0. 4V(vs SCE) in working electrode and scan rate was 50mV/s and the exposed surface area of each specimen to the electrolytic solution was $0.79cm^2$. The results were as follows. 1. In anodic-cathodic polarization curve of amalgam specimens, two anodic current rising areas and two cathodic current peaks were obtained at the low Cu amalgam(CF, CS) specimen and three anodic current rising areas and three cathodic current peaks were obtained at the high Cu amalgam (TY, DS, HV) specimen. 2. As this compared with the anodic and cathodic current peak potentials of Sn, Cu and Ag specimen, the first cathodic current peak I c was caused by the reduction of divalent tin salt, second cathodic current peak IIIc results from the reduction of quadravalent tin salt, and third cathodic current peak me results from the reduction of copper salt. 3. As reverse potential sweeping was done repeatedly, anodic current was decreased slightly in all amalgam specimens.

Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 (CZTSSe) 박막 태양전지 적용을 위한 마그네트론 스퍼터링으로 증착된 AZO/Ag/AZO 투명전극의 특성 (Characteristics of an AZO/Ag/AZO Transparent Conducting Electrode Fabricated by Magnetron Sputtering for Application in Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 (CZTSSe) Solar Cells)

  • Recent advances in technology using ultra-thin noble metal film in oxide/metal/oxide structures have attracted attention because this material is a promising alternative to meet the needs of transparent conduction electrodes (TCE). AZO/Ag/AZO multilayer films are prepared by magnetron sputtering for Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 (CZTSSe) of kesterite solar cells. It is shown that the electrical and optical properties of the AZO/Ag/AZO multilayer films can be improved by the very low resistivity and surface plasmon effects due to the deposition of different thicknesses of Ag layer between oxide layers fixed at AZO 30 nm. The AZO/Ag/AZO multilayer films of Ag 15 nm show high mobility of 26.4 ㎠/Vs and low resistivity and sheet resistance of 3.5810-5 Ωcm and 5.0 Ω/sq. Also, the AZO/Ag (15 nm)/AZO multilayer film shows relatively high transmittance of more than 65 % in the visible region. Through this, we fabricated CZTSSe thin film solar cells with 7.51 % efficiency by improving the short-circuit current density and fill factor to 27.7 mV/㎠ and 62 %, respectively.

스쿠알렌 집합체의 광전기화학적 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Photoelectrochemical Effects of Squaraine Aggregate in Monolayer)

  • 순수 정제한 스쿠알렌 색소(DSSQ(4-distearylamino phenyl-4'-dimethylaminophenylsquaraine) 를 Langmuir Blodgett 방법으로 $SnO_2$ 전극위에 단분자막으로 도포하였다. DSSQ 용액의 최대 흡수 파장은 630 nm 이었으나, $SnO_2$ 전극에 도포한 상태는 최대흡광파장 위치가 530 nm로 이동되어 스쿠알렌 집합체를 나타내었다. 이 집합체를 열처리하였더니 최대흡광 위치는 620~680 nm 로 이동되었다. 스쿠알렌 집합체에서의 에너지 이동 관계를 알기 위하여 광전류를 측정하였다. 광전류의 action spectrum은 흡수스펙트럼과 거의 같은 경향을 보였으며, 열처리한 시료의 광전류 action 스펙트럼도 처리전과 같은 결과를 나타내었다. 이때의 양자수율은 약 0.3%이었다. 용액내의 빛의 tunneling 효과를 보기 위하여 $SnO_2$전극과 DSSQ 색소사이에 스테아린산을 2~8층으로 각각 도포하고 광전류를 측정하였더니, 광전류가 현저히 감소하였다. 2층을 더 도포한 시료에서는 광전류가 전혀 나타나지 않았다. 또한 전해질 용액에 질소를 통하였을 경우에는 광기전력이 현저히 감소하고, 산소를 통하였을 때는 같은 정도로 증가하는 것으로 보아 전해질의 용존 산소가 전자 주게 역할을 하고 있음을 추정할 수 있었다.

  • PDP용 투명유전체 재료로 사용되는 $PbO-B_2O_3-SiO_2-Al_2O_3$계의 소성과정 중에서 투명전극 (ITO)과의 반응성 및 광학적, 열적, 전기적 특성을 조사하였다. 본 연구에서 유전체막.두께는 12$\mu\textrm{m}$으로, 온도는 550-58$0^{\circ}C$에서 소성한 후 여러 물성을 평가하였다 그 결과로, 유전체와 투명전극(ITO)의 반용에서, In 이온이 유전체층으로 확산이동하였으며, Sn 확산은 거의 발생하지 않았다. 선팽창계수, 유전상수, 유리전이온도,광 투과율은 유전체 조성의 PbO 양에 큰 영향을 받았다. PbO양 증가는 선팽창계수와 유전상수를 증가시킨 반면, 유리전이온도와 광 투과율온 저하시켰다. $Al_2O_3/B_2O_3$ 비가 증가함에 따라서는 선팽창계수는 감소, 유전상수는 증가, 광 투과율은 감소하였으며, 유리 전이점 변화는 거의 나타나지 않았다.

Electrochemical gas sensor based on Pt-Ru-Mo/MWNT electrocatalysts and vinyl ionic liquids as electrolyte

  • We prepared a novel electrochemical gas sensor (EG sensor) based on interdigitated electrode (IDE) coated with vinyl ionic liquids (ILs) as electrolyte and Pt-Ru-Mo/MWNT electrocatalysts for occurring redox-active of CNCl gas. The vinyl ILs such as 1-butyl-3-(vinylbenzyl)imidazolium chloride, $[BVBI]^+Cl^-$, and 3-hexyl-1-vinylimidazolium bromide, $[HVI]^+Br^-$, were synthesized by $SN_2$ reaction in order to use electrolyte. The Pt-Ru-Mo/MWNT electrocatalysts were also prepared by one-step radiation-induced reduction of metal ions in the presence of MWNTs as supports. The fabricated EG sensor with vinyl ILs electrolyte was evaluated through optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The prepared EG sensor is clearly detected over 2.0 ppm CNCl gas and is exhibited a liner relationship between current and concentration over a region of 10-100 ppm.

동일면상에 heater와 감지전극을 형성한 마이크로가스센서의 제작 및 특성 (Characteristics and Fabrication of Micro-Gas Sensors with Heater and Sensing Electrode on the Same Plane)

  • PSG(800nm)/$Si_3N_4$ (150nm)로 구성된 유전체 membrane 윗면에 heater와 감지전극을 등일면상에 동시에 형성하였다. 제작된 소자의 전체 면적은 $3.78{\times}3.78mm^2$이고, diaphragm의 면적은 $1.5{\times}1.5mm^2$이며, 감지막치 면적은 $0.24{\times}0.24mm^2$였다. 그리고 diaphragm내의 열분포 분석을 유한요소법을 이용하여 수행하였으며, 실제로 제작된 소자의 열분포와 비교하였다. 소비전력은 동작온도 $350^{\circ}C$에서 약 85mW였다. Sn 금속막을 상온과 $232^{\circ}C$의 두 가지 기판온도에서 열증착하였고, 이를 $650^{\circ}C$의 산소분위기에서 3시간 열산화함으로써 $SnO_2$ 감지막을 형성하였다. 그리고 이를 SEM과 XRD로 특성을 분석하였다. 제작된 소자에 대해서 온도 및 습도에 대한 감지막의 영향 및 부탄가스에 대한 반응특성도 조사하였다.

Uranium tetrafluoride production at pilot scale using a mercury electrode cell

  • This work shows the technical feasibility to obtain uranium tetrafluoride through an electrochemical mercury cell. This technique represents a custom scaling-up methodology from our previous studies to obtain UF4 using the dropping mercury electrode cell. The UF4 products were obtained from natural UF6 gas, which was hydrolyzed to obtain a 50 g/L UO2F2 solution. The electrolysis cell was made using a mercury reservoir, to reach UF4 production rates of 1 Kg UF4/day. This custom design allowed a stable UF4 production thanks to the mercury cathode, which do not permit the accumulation of solid products in its surface. The cell was tested using current densities from 5.000 to 17.500 A/m2 and temperatures from 25 to 65 ℃. The maximum current efficiency achieved under these conditions was 80%. The UF4 powders possessed spherical morphology, with diameters between 20 and 80 ㎛. Compared to the SnCl2 precipitation, this process did not allow preferential growth of the precipitates. This improved the compaction of the UF4 - Mg powders mixtures, with densities between 3.0 and 3.5 g/cm3. The purity of the UF4 products was over 98%.

Influence of Arg72 of pharaonis Phoborhodopsin on M-intermediate Decay and Proton Pumping Activity

  • X-ray structures of pharaonis phoborhodopsin (ppR) show the different direction of the side chain of Arg72 from that of the corresponding residue (Arg82) of bacteriorhodopsin, BR. For BR, this residue is considered to play an important role in the proton pumping. In order to investigate the role of Arg72 in ppR, we constructed Arg72 mutants of R72A, R72K and R72Q, and measured the photocycle and proton pumping activities. The pH-titration curves on the absorption maximum of the mutants were shifted to alkaline in comparison of that of the wild-type. This may imply the increase of pKa of D75, suggesting the presence of the (probably electric) interaction between D75 and Arg72. Rate constants of the M-decay were 3-7 times faster than that of the wild-type, and the time for the completion of the photocycling was also reduced. Using Sn0$_2$ electrode, the rate of transmembrane proton transport was measured upon illumination. The photo-induced proton pumping activities were estimated after the corrections that are the percentages of the associated form of D75 (which has no pumping activity) and the photocycling rates. R72A and R72Q showed the reduced activity while R72K did not reduce the activity.
