The chromosomes of thirteen wild forms of Drosophila obtained from Kwangnung in Kyunggi Province, Korea were investigated with the ganglion cells of both male and female larvae using the aceto-lactic orcein squashed method. The male chromosome patterns of the species observed in the present study are summarized as follows:

In this study, the dielectric, structural and electrical properties of Pb(ZnS11/3TNbS12/3T)OS13T-BaTiOS13T-PbTiOS13T system ceramics were investigated with respect to the variation of YS12TOS13T addition amount. As the YS12TOS13T addition amount is increased, the resistivity at 100$^{\circ}C$ and the resonant/antiresonant frequencies and the frequency constant are slowly increased, and the grain growth is restrained until 0.4 wt% YS12TOS13T addition amount but continuously increased with the addition amount more than 0.4 wt% YS12TOS13T. As the YS12TOS13T addition amount is increased, the density, the diffuseness of dielectric constant and the induced polarization are increased until 0.4 wt% YS12TOS13T addition.

Out of 826 isolates of Streptomyces isolated from different soils, 65 isolates were selected and identified according to their morphological and physiological characters. A total of 46 species of Streptomyces were identified, and the following 38 species were newly recorded in Korea. 1) Melanoid pigments producing group; S. lavendulae, S. purpurascens, S. violarus, S. lateritius, S. olivochromogenes, S. purpeofuscus, S. fulvoviolaceus, S. gallilaeus, S. naganishii, S. hygroscopicus subsp. ossamyceticus, S. nevagawaensis, S. anandii, S. phaeopurpureus, S. mirabilis, S. arenae, S. massasporeus, S. eurythermus, S. tuirus. 2) Melanoid pigments non-producing group; S. fellus, S. flavidovirens, S. exfoliatus, S. fumanus, S. termitum, S. glomeroaurantiacus, S. luteofluorescens, S. prunicolor, S. fradiae, S. tauricus, S. griseolus, S. misakiensis, S. poonensis, S. antimycoticus, S. diastaticus subsp. ardesiacus, S. nigrifaciens, S. tendae, S. narbonensis subsp. josamvceticus, S. atroolivaceus, S. chrysomallus subsp. fumigatus.

In this paper we show that if T ∈ L(X) and S ∈ L(X) is a Riesz operator commuting with T and X_S(F) ∈ Lat(S), where F = {0} or F ⊆ ℂ ⧵ {0} is closed then T|X_S(F) and T|X_T(F) + S|X_S(F) share the local spectral properties such as SVEP, Dunford's property (C), Bishop's property (𝛽), decomopsition property (𝛿) and decomposability. As a corollary, if T ∈ L(X) and Q ∈ L(X) is a quasinilpotent operator commuting with T then T is Riesz if and only if T + Q is Riesz. We also study some spectral properties of Riesz operators acting on Banach spaces. We show that if T, S ∈ L(X) such that TS = ST, and Y ∈ Lat(S) is a hyperinvarinat subspace of X for which 𝜎(S|Y ) = {0} then 𝜎_*(T|Y + S|Y ) = 𝜎_*(T|Y ) for 𝜎_* ∈ {𝜎, 𝜎_loc, 𝜎_sur, 𝜎_ap}. Finally, we show that if T ∈ L(X) and S ∈ L(Y ) on the Banach spaces X and Y and T is similar to S then T is Riesz if and only if S is Riesz.

A taxonomical sutdy was made on the Streptomyces species isolated from soils in this country, most of which were collected during the period from April, 1974 to July 1975. J.S.P. Methods (1966), I.S.P. Descriptions (1968-1972) and Bergy's Manual of Determinative Bacteriology (1974) were used for most of the experimental methods and identifications. As a result, 24 species were identified as follows ; S. albolongus, S galticri.S. Nashvillensis. S. showdoensis. S.norbonensis. S. flacocirens. S. resistomycificus. S> reshiriensis. S. chromofuscus. All d-homogeneous $C^*$-algebras $T^d$ over $\prod^{s_4}S^4{\times}\prod^{s_2}S^2{\times}\prod^{s_3}S^3{\times}\prod^{s_1}S^1$ are constructed. It is shown that $T^d$ are strongly Morita equivalent to $C(\prod^{s_4}S^4{\times}\prod^{s_2}S^2{\times}\prod^{s_3}S^3{\times}\prod^{s_1}S^1)$.
