점성토의 시간의존적 응력 - 변형 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Time Dependent Stress-Strain Behavior of Clay)

  • This paper was carried out to investigate the existence of a unique stress- strain behavior by obtaining some factors influencing the time dependent stress- strain behavior of clay. The results obtained from this study were summarized as follows ; 1. The relationship between stress ratro and strain in normally consolidated clay was in- dependent on pre-shear consolidation pressure. Therefore, shear strain could be expressed as a function with stress ratio. 2. The constitutive equation of shear strain on Modified Carn Clay Model coincided better with the observed value than Cam Clay Model. 3. The relationships between deviator stress and shear strain, between pore water pressure and shear strain were unified by the mean equivalent pressure. 4. The shear strain contour in norrnally consolidated clay was increased linearly through origin, but that in overconsolidated clay was not in accordance with the result of the former. 5. Because the effective stress path of normally consolidated clay was unified by the mean equivalent pressure, state boundary surface in (e,p,q) space was transformed into two dimensional surface. But it was considered to be suitable that the unified stress- strain in overconsolidated clay be expressed by a function with overconsolidation ratio. 6. The deviator for constant strain was increased linearly with increment of strain rate ($\varepsilon$) on semi-log scale, but pore water pressure was decreased. 7. The behavior of stress relaxation was transformed from linear to curvilinear with inc - rement of strain rate before stress relaxation test, and pore water pressure was increased in total range. 8. The strain of creep was increased linearly with increment of time on semi-log scale. The greater the strain rate before creep test became, the greater the increment of strain of creep became. And the pore water pressure during creep test was increased generally with increment of time on semi-log scale.

Effects of Temperature and Body Size on the Clearance Rates of a Tidal Flat Bivalve, Coecella chinensis (Deshayes)

  • To know the effects on temperature and body size on the clearance rate (CR) of a small tidal flat bivalve, Coecella chinensis, laboratory experiments were performed with 20 individuals of different sizes (ranging from 7 to 25 mm) at 3 different temperatures (10, 15, $20^{\circ}C$). The relationship between body size and CR was determined by an allometric equation. The CR of C. chinensis varied greatly ranging from 0.003 to 0.103 L/individual/hr. Both temperature and body size affected significantly on the CR of C. chinensis. The CR at $20^{\circ}C$was 1.5 times higher than that at $15^{\circ}C$ and 2.8 times than $10^{\circ}C$. The temperature coefficient ($Q_10$) between 10 and $15^{\circ}C$ was higher than that between 15 and $20^{\circ}C$, which indicates that C. chinensis changes its CR more rapidly in lower temperature range. As body size increased, the CR increased more than 10-fold at all temperatures. The CR relative to flesh dry weight (FDW) were fitted well to the power function: CR = a ${\times}$ $(FDW)^b$. The exponent value (b) of the fitted equation ranged from 0.64 to 0.70, which are similar to those of other bivalves. The weight-specific CR ($CR_w$) was still affected by body size (p < 0.05). This implies that smaller individuals require more energy per unit biomass for growth, and the energy requirement for growth decreases as body size increases.

팽창제 종류에 따른 증편의 품질 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Jeung-Pyun According to the Leavening Agents)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of four kinds of leavening agents on Jeung-Pyun fermantation. Milk-wine(M), fresh yeast(F), dry yeast(D), instant yeast(I) were used in Jeung-Pyun ingredients. The physicochemical properties, sensory evaluation were examined. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. Basic recipes for Jeung-Pyun by preliminary test were developed. 2. Specific volumes and expansion ratio of Jeung-Pyun was higher in the fresh yeast-added sample. 3. The pH of Jeung-Pyun was decreased significantly as the fermentation progressed 4. In the result comparing Jeung-Pyun extracting after 1st fermentation with Jeung-Pyun extracting 2nd fermentation by SEM, the former was widely distributed in stability of bubble and pore than the latter. 5. Standard recipe by Q.D.A. test added four kinds of leavening agents were as follows: (1)Jeung-Pyun added milk wine was 240min for 1st fermentation time, 60min for 2nd fermentation time, 35$^{\circ}C$ for fermentation temperature, 80% for fermentation humidity respectively. (2) Jeung-Pyun added fresh yeast was 90min for 1st fermentation time, 40min for 2nd fermentation time, 35$^{\circ}C$ for fermentation temperature, 80% for fermentation humidity respectively. (3)Jeung-Pyun added dry yeast was 90min for 1st fermentation time, 60min for 2nd fermentation time, 35$^{\circ}C$ for fermentation temperature, 60% for fermentation humidity respectively. (4)Jeung-Pyun added instant yeast was 90min for 1st fermentation time, 40min for 2nd fermentation time, 30$^{\circ}C$ for fermentation temperature, 60% for fermentation humidity respectively. 6.Based on sensory evaluation, Jeung-Pyun added fresh yeast was significantry higher than others in color, sweetness, moistness, softness, and overall quality. There was negative significance between milk wine flavor and astrigentness, and yeast flavor.

Coordinated Spatial and Temporal Expression of Voltage-sensitive calcium Channel ${\alpha}_{1A}$ and $\beta_4$ Subunit mRNAs in Rat Cerebellum

  • The neuronal voltage-sensitive calcium channels (VSCCs) are multisubunit complexes consisting of $\alpha_1,\;\alpha_2-\delta$ and $\beta$ subunits. Heterologous expression and biochemical studies have shown that the activity of VSCCs is regulated by their $\beta$ subunits in a $\beta$ subunit isoform-specific manner. To elucidate the $\beta$ subunit identity of the P/Q-type calcium channel encoded by an $\alpha_{1A}$ subunit, which is exclusively expressed in the Purkinje and granule cell of the cerebellum, we have examined the spatial and temporal expression patterns of $\beta$ subunits and compared them with those of $\alpha_{1A}$ subunit in the developing rat cerebellum. Reverse transcriptase- polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Northern blot analysis have shown that $\beta_4$ subunit mRNA was prominently expressed in the cerebellum and much more abundant than any other distinct $\beta$ subunits. RNase protection assay has further demonstrated that the expression of $\alpha_{1A}$ and $\beta_4$ subunits increased during cerebellar development, while the amount of $\beta_2$ and $\beta_3$ mRNAs did not significantly change. In addition, a $\beta_4$ transcript was present in cultured cerebellar granule cells, but not in astrocyte cells, and the level of $\beta_4$ mRNA expression increased gradually in vitro seen as in vivo. Based on the spatial and temporal expression patterns of $\beta_4$ subunit, we conclude that $\beta_4$ may predominantly associate, but probably not exclusively, with the $\alpha_{1A}$ subunit in rat cerebellar granule cells.

  • The current Total Pollution Load Control (TPLC) sets the Target Water Quality (TWQ) by utilizing the delivery ratio, unit loads, and water quality modeling, it also allocates the watershed's permitted discharge load. Currently, common target pollutants of every unit watershed in TPLC are BOD and T-P. This study has reviewed the 1th and 2th of TWQ setting process for the Nakdong River 3th TWQ setting in Total Pollution Load Control (TPLC). As a result of review, 1th and 2th were divided into one management basin (mulgeum) for setting management goals. However, 3th was divided into six management basins (mulgeum, gnagjeong, geumho river, nam river, miryang river, end of nakdong river). The principle of management goal setting were to achieve the objective criteria of Medium Areas for the linkage of the water environment management policy. And Anti-Degredation (principle of preventing deterioration) were applied to the 3th TWQ. Also, additional indicators were considered in accordance with the reduction scenarios for the final management goals.

분열형 효모인 Schizosaccharomyces pombe 로부터 rqh1 돌연변이의 DNA damaging agent sensitivity를 보상하는 유전자의 특성 연구 (Isolation and Characterization of DNA Damaging Agent Sensitivity of rqh1 mutant from Schizosaccharomyce pombe)

  • 분열형 효모에서 Rqh1은 Top3과 함께 vegetative growth에 필수적이다. $rqh^-$ 돌연변이는 DNA damaging agent에 민감성을 보이는데 이때, 부적절한 유전자 발현, 세포 신장, 염색체의 불안전성, 비정상적인 다중격막, 발아의 결핍을 포함한 넓은 범위의 표현형을 보인다. rqh1-overexpression cell 역시 rqh1 deletion mutant에서 보이는 DNA damaging agent 민감성을 관찰할 수 있다. 논문은 nmtl promoter를 가지는 PREP vector에 Rqhl이 과발현 할 때 나타나는 DNA damaging agent 민감성를 보상하는 유전자를 찾아 $rqh1^+$의 기능을 알아보는 것이다. 여기서 보상능이 보이는 rqh156, rqh172 두 개의 돌연변이를 골라냈다. rqhl deletion mutant의 DNA damaging agent 민감성은 rqh156, rqh172의 발현에 의해 보상 되어지는 것을 확인하였다.

온라인 피드백 에러 학습을 이용한 이동 로봇의 자율주행 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Autonomous Algorithm Using an Online Feedback-Error Learning Based Neural Network for Nonholonomic Mobile Robots)

  • 본 논문에서는, 신경망을 이용한 뉴로 인터페이스 설계를 통해 논홀로노믹 이동 로봇을 제어하는 방법을 제시하였다. 특히, 가상의 마스터-슬레이브 로봇 개념을 이용하여, 부분적으로 안정된 마스터 로봇의 역 동적모델이 피드백-에러 학습법을 적용한 신경망을 통해 온라인으로 획득되도록 하였다. 이 피드백 제어기는 PD 보상기에 기초를 두고 있다. 온라인 학습을 위한 신경망은 입력층이 6개의 입력세포들($x_i$, i=1~6)로 구성되어있으며, 1개의 은닉층에는 2개의 은닉세포($o_j$, j=1~2), 출력층은 2개의 출력세포(${\tau}_k$, k=1~2)로 구성되었고, 신경망의 온라인 학습을 위하여 최소자승법에 의한 오류역전파 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 뉴로 인터페이스의 경로추적제어에 관한 성능은 2-wheel 독립구동이 가능한 논홀로노믹 이동 로봇의 시뮬레이션으로 증명하였다.

신증후군 환아 어머니의 부담감과 사회적지지 (The Burden and Social Support of Mothers of Nephrotic Syndrome Patients)

  • This study was conducted to identity the degree of burden and social support perceived by mothers of nephrotic syndrome patients. Also, relations between burden and social support were investigated to provide basis data for their family health and nursing intervention. The study subjects were mothers of nephrotic syndrome patients whose children were hospitalized in 2 Pediatric wards of University Hospital in Seoul and 1 in Pusan from Jun. 1, 1998 to Jun. 30, 1998. Burden measurement Instrument for this study was designed by the researcher and its basis in one developed by Montgomery et al.(1985) and the reliability was .78. Also. P.R.Q. Part I, II by Brandt and Weinert(1981) was used as social support measurement instrument and the reliability .71. The data analysis was done by SPSS, t-test, ANOVA Pearson correlation. The result were as follows. 1. Burden felt by mothers shows an average value of 60.82 (Maximum 86, Standard deviation 1.244). 2. Of the mother characteristics, the score of burden was high in case of no religion and low income. Of the patient characteristics, the score burden ranked as high MCNS, doing oral therapy, injection therapy at the same time and negative perceived patients condition. 3. The mean score of support was 77.54(Maximum 96, Standard deviation 1.096). 4. The main supporters were husband (the highest), brother, sister, health speciality and the subject expressed the highest satisfaction toward supporters in chronic disease. 5. Of the patient characteristics, the higher age group and the elder group showed high support. Also, positive perceived patient's condition, high support. 6. The relationship between burden and social support is not significant. In conclusion to the above study, the researcher suggests. 1. The Qualitative research to investigate influential factors on burden of family of nephrotic syndrome patients is needed.

Figures of Merit of (K,Na,Li)(Nb,Ta)O3 Ceramics with Various Li Contents for a Piezoelectric Energy Harvester

  • The figures of merit in the on-resonance and off-resonance conditions ($FOM_{on}$ and $FOM_{off}$) for the piezoelectric energy harvester (PEH) were measured and compared in $[(K_{0.485}Na_{0.515})_{1-X}Li_X](Nb_{0.99}Ta_{0.01})O_3$ (x = 0.04 ~ 0.09) (KNLNT) ceramics with various Li contents. The crystal structure of CuO-doped KNLNT ceramics changes from orthorhombic to tetragonal around the Li fraction of 0.065. The stable temperature range for the tetragonal phase widens to both higher and lower temperatures as Li is substituted. The piezoelectric charge constant ($d_{33}$), electromechanical coupling factor ($k_p$) and mechanical quality factor ($Q_m$) have maximum values at the Li fraction between 0.055 and 0.065 where the phase boundary lies between the orthorhombic and tetragonal phases. Both $FOM_{on}$ and $FOM_{off}$ have peak values around the phase boundary but the peak compositions are not exactly coincided. The optimal Li fraction in the KNLNT ceramic for a PEH application was found to be between 0.055 and 0.065.

  • High power piezoelectric materials are presently being extensively developed for applications such as ultrasonic motors and piezoelectric transformer In this study, the piezoelectric and dielectric properties of $MnO_2$ doped $0.36Pb(Sc_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_{3}-0.25Pb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_{3}-0.39PbTiO_3$ (hereafter PSNNT), which is the morphotropic phase boundary composition of the PSN-PNN-PT system were investigated. $MnO_2$-addition into the $0.36Pb(Sc_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_{3}-0.25Pb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_{3}-0.39PbTiO_3$ composition increases the piezoelectric coefficient up to $k_{p}{\fallingdotseq}$55.6[%] and $Q_{m}{\fallingdotseq}$252. Moreover, $MnO_2$ addition makes tetragonal phase more stable with respect to rhombohedral phase.
