알칼리 활성화 결합재의 황산염 침식에 미치는 마그네슘의 영향 (Effects of Magnesium on Sulfate Resistance of Alkali-activated Materials)

  • 본 연구는 플라이애시 및 고로슬래그 미분말을 활용하여 알칼리 활성화 결합재로 제조된 모르타르 및 페이스트 샘플의 황산염 저항성을 평가하고 황산염 침투에 대한 고저항성 결합재를 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 플라이애시 및 고로슬래그미분말 등의 광물질 혼화재를 결합재로 활용하여 고로슬래그미분말 치환율을 30, 50 및 100%로 제작하였다. 규산나트륨 모듈 $Ms[SiO_2/Na_2O]$은 1.0, 1.5 및 2.0으로 조정하였으며, 10% 황산나트륨, 10% 황산마그네슘, 10% 질산마그네슘 및 5% 질산마그네슘+5% 황산나트륨 용액에 각각 침지시키고, 황산염 저항성을 평가하기 위하여 압축강도, 질량변화율, 길이변화율 및 X선 회절분석을 측정하였다. 그 결과 10% 황산나트륨, 10% 질산마그네슘 및 5% 질산마그네슘+5% 황산나트륨에 침지한 경우에는 모든 시험조건에서 장기적인 강도발현과 질량 및 길이변화율이 작아 저항성이 우수한 것으로 나타났으나, 10% 황산마그네슘에 침지한 경우에는 장기적인 강도저하와 질량 및 길이변화가 크게 나타났으며, 그 경향은 고로슬래그 미분말 치환량 및 Ms비가 증가할수록 현저하였다. 이것은, X선 회절분석 결과 황산마그네슘 용액 침지에서는 gypsum($CaSO_4{\cdot}2H_2O$) 및 brucite(MgOH)생성되어 내부조직이 팽창하는 것에 의한 것으로 확인되었다. 결론적으로 일정 농도의 ${SO_4}^{2-}$이 존재하는 조건에서 $Mg^{2+}$가 추가로 존재할 경우 열화현상은 가속화되는 것을 알 수 있다.

Effects of Post-harvest Storage Duration and Variety on Nutrient Digestibility and Energy Content Wheat in Finishing Pigs

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of post-harvest storage duration and wheat variety on the digestibility and energy content of new season wheat fed to finishing pigs. Two wheat varieties (Shi and Zhong) were harvested in 2013 and stored in the warehouse of the Fengning Pig Experimental Base at China Agricultural University for 3, 6, 9, or 12 mo. For each storage period, 12 barrows were placed in metabolism crates and allotted to diets containing 1 of the 2 wheat varieties in a randomized complete block design. The experimental diets contained 97.34% wheat and 2.66% of a vitamin and trace mineral premix. With an extension of storage duration from 3 mo to 12 mo, the gross energy (GE) and crude protein (CP) of the wheat decreased by 2.0% and 12.01%, respectively, while the concentration of neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF) and starch content increased by 30.26%, 19.08%, and 2.46%, respectively. Total non-starch polysaccharide, total arabinose, total xylose and total mannose contents decreased by 46.27%, 45.80%, 41.71%, and 75.66%, respectively. However, there were no significant differences in the chemical composition between the two wheat varieties with the exception of ADF which was approximately 13.37% lower in Shi. With an extension of storage duration from 3 mo to 12 mo, the digestible energy (DE), metabolizable energy (ME) content and the apparent total tract digestibility of GE, CP, dry matter, organic matter, ether extract, ADF and metabolizability of energy in wheat decreased linearly (p<0.01) by 5.74%, 7.60%, 3.75%, 3.88%, 3.50%, 2.47%, 26.22%, 27.62%, and 3.94%, respectively. But the digestibility of NDF changed quadratically (p<0.01). There was an interaction between wheat variety and storage time for CP digestibility (p<0.05), such that the CP digestibility of variety Zhong was stable during 9 mo of storage, while the CP digestibility of variety Shi decreased (p<0.05). In conclusion, the GE, DE, and ME of wheat was stable during the first 3 to 6 mo of post-harvest storage, and decreased during the following 6 to 12 mo of storage under the conditions of this study.

Effects of Keratinase on Performance, Nutrient Utilization, Intestinal Morphology, Intestinal Ecology and Inflammatory Response of Weaned Piglets Fed Diets with Different Levels of Crude Protein

  • Two experiments were conducted to investigate the in vitro ability of keratinase to hydrolyze soybean glycinin and ${\beta}$-conglycinin and to evaluate the in vivo effects of keratinase when included in corn-soybean diets with different levels of crude protein and fed to nursery pigs. In experiment 1, a saturated keratinase solution (1 ml) was added to two blank controls of either glycinin or ${\beta}$-conglycinin resulting in the hydrolysis of 94.74% glycinin and 88.89% ${\beta}$-conglycinin. In experiment 2, 190 pigs (8.3${\pm}$0.63 kg BW) were allotted to one of four treatments in a 2${\times}$2 factorial arrangement on the basis of body weight, and sex was balanced among the pens. The effects of crude protein (19 vs. 22%) and keratinase (0 vs. 0.05%) were studied. Each treatment was applied to six pens with seven (two pens) or eight pigs per pen. Pigs were fed the experimental diets for 21 d. Weight gain and feed conversion ratio were improved (p<0.05) with keratinase supplementation while feed intake was reduced (p<0.05). Keratinase supplementation increased (p<0.05) the apparent total tract digestibility of dry matter, energy, crude protein and phosphorus. Keratinase supplementation also increased n-butyric acid in the cecum and colon, lactobacilli and total anaerobe counts in the colon as well as the ratio of villus height to crypt depth in the ileum. Additionally, fecal score, ammonia nitrogen and branch chain volatile fatty acids in the colon, E. coli and total aerobe counts in the colon, crypt depth in the jejunum and ileum as well as serum interleukin-1 and interleukin-6 concentrations were also decreased (p<0.05) by keratinase supplementation. A reduction in dietary crude protein decreased (p<0.05) colon ammonia nitrogen concentration and cecal propionic acid and branch chain volatile fatty acid concentrations. In addition, cecal E. coli counts, colon total anaerobe counts, ileal crypt depth, and serum interleukin-1 and interleukin-6 concentrations were also decreased (p<0.05) with the reduction of dietary crude protein. With the exception of fecal scores, there were no significant interactions between crude protein and keratinase. This study provides evidence that dietary keratinase supplementation improved nursery pig performance by improving intestinal morphology and ecology, thus improving nutrient digestibility and alleviating the inflammatory response.

점토 광물로부터 제어 침전법에 의한 고순도 알루미나의 합성 (I) 점토 광물로부터 수화 황산 알루미늄 및 알루미나의 제조 (Synthesis of High Purity Alumina by Controlled Precipitation Method from Clay Minerals (I) Preparation of Aluminum Sulfate Hydrate and Alumina from Clay Minerals)

  • 점토 광물로부터 황산 처리법을 이용하여 수화 황산 알루미늄을 제조하였다. 하동 카올린 을 황산 처리하였을 때 수화 황산 알루미늄 형성에 미치는 카올린의 하소 온도와 하소 시간, 산처리 반응 온도와 반응 시간 및 황산의 농도의 영향을 조사하였다. 또한, 황산 처리된 용액으로부터 수화 황산 알루미늄이 석출되는 최적 조건을 구하였으며, 생성된 수화 황산 알루미늄을 상온에서 $1200^{\circ}C$ 까지 각각의 온도 구간에서 열처리한 분말에 대해서 XRD, TG-DTA, FT-IR, SEM, 입도 분석 및 불순물 분석을 하였다. 최적 조건 하에서, 카올린 중의 알루미나가 수화 황산 알루미늄으로 생성되는 전화율은 약 60%였고, XRD, TG-DTA, FT-IR 등의 분석 결과로 부터 생성된 수화 황산 알루미늄의 열분해 반응은 $Al_2(SO_4)_3{\cdot}18H_2O{\rightarrow}Al_2(SO_4)_3{\cdot}6H_2O{\rightarrow}Al_2(SO_4){\rightarrow}\;amorphous\;alumina{\rightarrow}{\gamma}-alumina{\rightarrow}{\delta}-alumina{\rightarrow}{\theta}-alumina{\rightarrow}{\alpha}-alumina$이었다. 또한 생성된 수화 황산 알루미늄을 $1200^{\circ}C$에서 하소 하여 얻은 알루미나 분말의 순도는 99.99%였다.

Milk Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) Profile and Metabolic Responses of Dairy Cows Fed with High-temperature-micro-time (HTMT) Treated Diets Containing High Quantity Extruded Soybean (ESB)

  • A feeding trial was conducted to examine the effect of high-temperature-micro-time (HTMT) processing of diets containing extruded soybean (ESB) in high quantity on milk fat production, metabolic responses, and the formation of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and trans-vaccenic acid (TVA). Twenty-one multiparous Holstein cows in mid-lactation were blocked according to milk yield in the previous lactation. Cows within each block were randomly assigned to either normal concentrate or HTMT treated diets containing ESB (7.5% HTMT-ESB and 15% HTMT-ESB). It was hypothesized that the HTMT-ESB would affect the undegradable fatty acids in the rumen and, thus, would modify the fatty acid profile of milk fat. Both 7.5% and 15% HTMT-ESB did not affect milk yield, fat, protein, lactose and solid-not-fat (SNF), but the proportion of cis-9, trans-11 CLA in milk fat was significantly increased by these treatments. Content of TVA in milk fat was not affected by HTMT-ESB. The HTMT-ESB influenced the fatty acid profile in milk fat, but there was little difference between 7.5% and 15% of supplementation. HTMT-ESB feeding significantly decreased the concentration of plasma insulin and glucose, while plasma growth hormone (GH), triglyceride (TG), non-esterified fatty acid (NEFA) and HDLcholesterol were increased by 7.5% and 15% ESB-HTMT supplementation in comparison to the control group (p<0.05). However, no significant difference was observed in plasma LDL-cholesterol, insulin like growth factor (IGF)-1, T3, T4, and leptin concentrations among treatments (p>0.05). The present results showed that cis-9, trans-11 CLA production was increased by HTMT treatment of dietary ESB without reduction of milk fat, and the unchanged milk fat and yield was assumed to be associated with the constant level of thyroid hormones, leptin, and IGF-1.

침전법으로 제조된 Mg(OH)2의 잔류 Na염이 MgO 입자 형성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Na Salt on the Formation of MgO Obtained from Mg(OH)2 by Precipitation Method)

  • The particle size of MgO was examined as a function of the Na content in $Mg(OH)_2$ powders and the calcination temperature. $Mg(OH)_2$ suspension was obtained by dropwise precipitation of $Mg(NO_3)_2{\cdot}6H_2O$ and NaOH solutions. The suspension was diluted by varying the dilution volume ratio of distilled water to $Mg(OH)_2$ suspension to change the Na salt concentration in the suspension. $Mg(OH)_2$ slurry was filtered and dried at $60^{\circ}C$ under vacuum, and then its $Mg(OH)_2$ powder was calcined to produce MgO with different amount of Na content at $500\sim900^{\circ}C$ under air. Investigation of the physical and chemical properties of the various MgO powders with dilution ratio and calcination temperature variation was done by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, BET specific surface area and thermal gravimetric analysis. It was observed that MgO particle size could depend on the condition of calcination temperature and dilution ratio of the $Mg(OH)_2$ suspension. The particle size of the MgO depends on the Na content remaining in the $Mg(OH)_2$ powder, which powder was prepared by changing the dilution ratio of the $Mg(OH)_2$ suspension. This change increased as the calcination temperature increased and decreased as the dilution ratio increased. The growth of MgO particle size according to the increase of temperature was more effective when there was a relatively high content of Na. The increase of Na content lowered the temperature at which decomposition of $Mg(OH)_2$ to MgO took place, thereby promoting the crystal growth of MgO.

치과용 석고계 매몰재의 특성에 관한 연구 (STUDY ON THE PROPERTIES OF GYPSUM-BONDED DENTAL INVESTMENTS)

  • The properties of a investment material can be described by the consistency at the slurry state, the setting time, the compressive strength and the thermal expansion during the casting. In this study the effect of the production parameters which are included the ratio of quartz and cristobalite, the content of binder, the water powder ratio and the content and concentration of additives on the Properties of the gypsum-bonded investments has been investigated with help of the consistency test, the vicat needle test, the compressive strength test, the thermal expansion test, x-ray diffraction and DTA thermal differential test. The experimental results showed that the constitution of a investment with W/P ratio of 0.34, 30% of gypsum, 0.8% aluminium sulfate, 2% magnesium sulfate, 0.6% sodium phosphate was adapted for the properties of the KDA Spec. No. 13 type I investment. The important experimental results are summarized as follows. 1. The consistency of the investment decreased with increasing amount of aluminium sulfate and decreasing amount of sodium phosphate. An addition of magnesium sulfate up to 2% an increase of the consistency was shown. But 3% magnesium sulfate in investment showed a decrease of the consistency. The consistency did not vary significantly with a variation of the content of gypsum and cristobalite and the W/P ratio. 2. Aluminium sulfate and the magnesium sulfate promoted the hardening and the aluminium phosphate delayed the hardening. The setting time increased with amount of gypsum. The effect of the matrix on the setting time was insignificant. With the W/P ratio of 0.34 the setting time was 14 min. 3. The compressive strength decreased with the amount of aluminium sulfate up to 0.25% and increased with the amount of aluminium sulfate greater than 3%. The compressive strength decreased as decreasing the amount of magnesium sulfate and gypsum and as increasing the W/P ratio. The effect of the refractory on the compressive strength was also not significant. With the W/P ratio of 0.34 the compressive strength was $34Kg/mm^2$. 4. The 1st thermal expansion was found at the temperature near and the steady state or the contraction stage was found at the temperature between $250^{\circ}C$ and $500^{\circ}C$. After this stage the 2nd thermal expansion took place at the temperature near $500^{\circ}C$. The amount of thermal expansion increased with decreasing the content of magnesium sulfate, aluminium sulfate and gypsum and the W/P ratio. And the amount of thermal expansion increased as the content of sodium phosphate and cristobalite. With the W/P ratio of 0.34 the amount of total expansion was 1.2%.

충남지역 대형 점오염원이 주변지역 초미세먼지 농도에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Emissions from Major Point Sources in Chungcheongnam-do on Surface Fine Particulate Matter Concentration in the Surrounding Area)

  • The Weather Research and Forecast (WRF) - Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) system was applied to investigate the influence of major point sources located in Chungcheongnam-do (CN) on surface $PM_{2.5}$ (Particulate Matter of which diameter is $2.5{\mu}m$ or less) concentrations in its surrounding areas. Uncertainties associated with contribution estimations were examined through cross-comparison of modeling results using various combinations of model inputs and setups; two meteorological datasets developed with WRF for 2010 and 2014, and two domestic emission inventories for 2010 and 2013 were used to estimate contributions of major point sources in CN. The results show that contributions of major point sources in CN to annual $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations over Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and CN ranged $0.51{\sim}1.63{\mu}g/m^3$, $0.71{\sim}1.62{\mu}g/m^3$, $0.63{\sim}1.66{\mu}g/m^3$, and $1.04{\sim}1.86{\mu}g/m^3$, respectively, depending on meteorology and emission inventory choice. It indicates that the contributions over the surrounding areas can be affected by model inputs significantly. Nitrate was the most dominant $PM_{2.5}$ component that was increased by major point sources in CN followed by sulfate, ammonium, and others. Based on the model simulations, it was estimated that primary $PM_{2.5}$ $(PPM)-to-PM_{2.5}$ conversion rates were 41.3~50.7 ($10^{-6}{\mu}g/m^3/TPY$) for CN, and 12.4~18.3 ($10^{-6}{\mu}g/m^3/TPY$) for Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi, respectively. In addition, spatial gradients of PPM contributions show very steep trends. $NO_X$-to-nitrate conversion rates were 7.61~12.3 ($10^{-6}{\mu}g/m^3/TPY$) for CN, and 3.94~11.3 ($10^{-6}{\mu}g/m^3/TPY$) for the sub-regions in the SMA. $SO_2$-to-sulfate conversion rates were 4.04~5.28 ($10^{-6}{\mu}g/m^3/TPY$) for CN, and 3.73~4.43 ($10^{-6}{\mu}g/m^3/TPY$) for the SMA, respectively.

Supplementation of Dried Mealworm (Tenebrio molitor larva) on Growth Performance, Nutrient Digestibility and Blood Profiles in Weaning Pigs

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dried mealworm (Tenebrio molitor larva) on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and blood profiles in weaning pigs. A total of 120 weaning pigs ($28{\pm}3days$ and $8.04{\pm}0.08kg$ of body weight) were allotted to one of five treatments, based on sex and body weight, in 6 replicates with 4 pigs per pen by a randomized complete block design. Supplementation level of dried mealworm was 0%, 1.5%, 3.0%, 4.5%, or 6.0% in experimental diet as treatment. Two phase feeding programs (phase I from 0 day to 14 day, phase II from 14 day to 35 day) were used in this experiment. All animals were allowed to access diet and water ad libitum. During phase I, increasing level of dried mealworm in diet linearly improved the body weight (p<0.01), average daily gain (ADG) (p<0.01) and average daily feed intake (ADFI) (p<0.01). During phase II, ADG also tended to increase linearly when pigs were fed higher level of dried mealworm (p = 0.08). In addition, increasing level of dried mealworm improved the ADG (p<0.01), ADFI (p<0.05) and tended to increase gain to feed ratio (p = 0.07) during the whole experimental period. As dried mealworm level was increased, nitrogen retention and digestibility of dry matter as well as crude protein were linearly increased (p = 0.05). In the results of blood profiles, decrease of blood urea nitrogen (linear, p = 0.05) and increase of insulin-like growth factor (linear, p = 0.03) were observed as dried mealworm was increased in diet during phase II. However, there were no significant differences in immunoglobulin A (IgA) and IgG concentration by addition of dried mealworm in the growth trial. Consequently, supplementation of dried mealworm up to 6% in weaning pigs' diet improves growth performance and nutrient digestibility without any detrimental effect on immune responses.

6 MV 광자선과 6 MeV 전자선 하에서 TLD 기판 위에 얹힌 금속 박막의 효과 (The Effects of Metal Plate loaded on TLD chip in 6 MV Photon and 6 MeV Electron Beams)

  • 본 실험은 의료용 가속기로부터 나오는 6MV 광자선과 6 MeV 전자선을 고체 팬텀위의 LiF 열형광 선량계 (TLD-l00)에 쪼여서 수행하였다. TLD-l00의 방사선 반응감도를 증가시키기 위해 TLD-l00 기판 (표면적 3.2 $\times$ 3.2 $\textrm{mm}^2$) 위에 같은 면적의 금속박막 (주석 혹은 금)을 얹어서 실험하였다. SSD l00cm, 방사선장의 크기 10$\times$10 $\textrm{cm}^2$의 조건 하에서 표면 흡수선량을 측정하였다. 측정결과 각 금속들로 인하여 TLD-l00 의 신호강도가 증강된 것이 관측되었다. 그리고 표면 흡수선량이 방사선량에 따라서 매우 선형적인 값을 가지는 것으로 나타났다 .6 MV 광자선의 경우 1 mm 의 금속박막을 TLD-l00 에 얹은 결과 표면 흡수선량이 각 각 14%, 56% 증가되었다 .6MeV의 전자선의 경우에는 금박막은 TL 반응감도가 13% 증가되었으나 주석의 경우에는 전혀 변화가 없었다. 금속박막을 얹은 TLD-l00의 방사선량 반응감도는 금속박막의 전자 입자밀도에 따라 증가하는 것으로 관측되었다. 이것은 TLD-l00보다 큰 전자밀도를 가진 부가물질(금속박막 )로부터 TLD-l00으로 산란전자가 유입되는 데 기인하는 것으로 보인다. 이 결과로부터 금속박막을 얹은 TL 선량계가 치료광자선용 증폭 선량계로서의 역할을 할 수 있을 것임을 시사한다. 즉 금속박막으로 인해서 TLD-l00 의 방사선 량 반응감도가 증가되었으므로 높은 감도의 보다 작은 TL 선량계의 개발이 가능하게 되었다.
