고발광 ${Zn_2}{SiO_4}$:Mn 형광체의 제조 및 특성 (Synthesis and Characterization of High Luminance ${Zn_2}{SiO_4}$:Mn Phosphors)

  • In order to improve luminescence prperty of phosphors, we have synthesized Zn2SiO4:Mn phosphors by a new chemical synthetic route, i.e., the homogeneous precipitation method. This method has featured that the formation of phosphoris completed at relatively low temperature of 105$0^{\circ}C$ and the particle morphology exhibits spherical shape to be well-dispersed and uniform size. At all the Mn concentration explored, phosphors prepared by this method have exhibited the improved emission intensities. In particular, the emission intensities of phosphors with Mn doping contents between 1 at% and 3.5 at% were higher about 40% than that of commercial phosphor. On the other hand, the decay time has been decreased from 23 ms to 11 ms with increasing Mn concentration. In addition, the phosphor composition containing 3 at% Mn has displayed the most saturated color.

  • Electronic structures of the Heusler compounds, XMnSb (X=Ni, Pd, and Pt) are investigated systematically by using the linearized muffiu-tin orbital (LMTO) band method. LMTO band calculations yield that, by including the spinorbit interactions, the NiMnSb and PtMnSb are half-metallic, while PdMnSb is normal metallic at the experimental lattice constant. The effect of the spin-orbit interaction is substantial in PtMnSb, in contrast to NiMnSb and PdMnSb. The calculated X d and Mn 3d angular momentum projected local density of states's reveal that the hybridization between the Mn 3d X d states increases from X = Pt to Pd and Ni.

  • It was examined that the relationship between microstructures, electrical properties and crystal structure of (1-x)CaMnO$_3$-xCaTiO$_3$solid solution system which was made by mixing a semiconducting material CaMnO$_3$of low resistance and a dielectric material CaTiO$_3$of high resistance with variable ratios (x=0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, 1.0). As the CaTiO$_3$increased, the resistance, B constant and lattice constant were increased, but the grain size was decreased. On particular, above 50wt% of CaTiO$_3$, the resistance at 2 5$^{\circ}C$ was rapidly increased due to the correlation in connectivity of the lattices between the conductive Mn$^{+4}$ octahedron and the insulative Ti$^{+4}$ octahedron.ron.

불순 Fe를 함유한 A356 주조합금에서 미세조직 형성에 관한 Mn과 Cr의 효과 (The Effects of Mn and Cr Additions on the Microstructure of A356 Alloys Containing Impure Fe)

  • The effects of Mn and Cr on the crystallization behaviors of Fe-bearing intennetallics in A356 alloy were studied. Coarse and acicular ${\beta}-Al_{5}$FeSi phase in A356-0.20wt.%Fe alloy was modified into small ${\alpha}$-Al(Fe,Mn)Si and ${\alpha}$-Al(Fe,Cr)Si phases in response to Mn and Cr addition, respectively. Increasing of Mn addition amount elevates the crystallizing temperature of ${\alpha}$-Al(Fe,Mn)Si and the Mn/Fe ratio in the ${\alpha}$-Al(Fe,Mn)Si. Cr is more effective to modify ${\beta}-Al_{5}$FeSi in comparison with Mn. ${\alpha}$-Al(Fe,Mn)Si phase had BCC/SC dual structure.

Microstructure and Electrical Properties of Pb[(Mg,Mn)Nb]O3-Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 Piezoelectric Ceramics

  • Phase evolution, microstructure and the electrical properties such as $k_p$ and $Q_m$ of $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3[PMN]-Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O3[PM'N]-PbZrO_3[PZ]-PbTiO_3[PT]$ quaternary system were investigated within the compositional ranges $0{\leq}y{\leq}0.125$, y+z=0.125, and $0.39{\leq}x{\leq}0.54$ of the formula $Pb_{0.97}Sr_{0.03}[Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_y\;(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_z\;(Zr_{x}Ti_{1-x})_{1-(y+z)}]O_3$. In the case of increasing Mn/(Mg+Mn) ratio for a fixed Zr/Ti ratio of 47.5/52.5, phase relation remained unchanged but the grain size drastically decreased, and the electrical properties changed as following: both $k_P$ and $Q_m$ reached the peak values at $Mn/(Mg+Mn)\cong0.3l7$ and gradually decreased; $\varepsilon33^T$ showed a monotonic decrease; P-E hysteresis loop gradually changed to asymmetrical one, and $E_i$ increased in correspondence. With increasing Zr/Ti ratio for a fixed Mn/(Mg+Mn) ratio of 0.317, on the contrary, the cell parameter $(\alpha^2c)^{1/3}$ gradually increased, and tetragonal-rhombohedral morphotropic phase boundary appeared in the range of $51/49{\leq}Zr/Ti{\leq}54/46$. the meantime, the grain size substantially increased, and the electrical properties changed as following: $k_P$ and $\varepsilon33^T$ reached peak values at Zr/Ti=51/49 and 48/52, respectively, and then gradually decreased; change of $Q_m$ was adverse to $k_P$; both $E_C\;and\;E_i$ considerably decreased while $P_S$ moderately increased. For the system 0.125(PMN+PM'N)-0.875PZT studied, the composition Mn/(Mg+Mn)=0.3l7 and Zr/Ti=51/49 revealed some promising electrical properties for piezoelectric transformer application such as $k_P=0.58,\;Q_m\cong1000$, and $\varepsilon^T_{33}=970$, as well as dense and fine-grained microstructure.

Fe, Mn, Cu 및 Zn의 Systematic Variation 시비가 Orchardgrass 및 White Clover의 건물수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Systematic Variation Application of Fe, Mn, Cu, and Zn on the Dry Matter Yields of Orcharograss and White Clover)

  • Orchardgrass 및 white clover에서 미량요소 Fe, Mn, Cu 및 Zn의 systematic variation 시비가 목초의 생육, 개화, 수량 및 양분 함량 등에 미치는 영향 등을 구명하였다. 다량요소 양분을 동일량 시비한 조건에서 시험군-1(Fe/Cu), 시험군-2(Mn/Zn), 시험군-3(Fe+Cu/Mn+Zn)의 처리내용은 시험군별 처리양분의 총 시비량($100\%$)을 systematic variation 방법으로 각각 0/100, 25/75, 50/50, 75/25, $100/0\%$ 비율로 나누어 시비처리 하였고, 시험군-4(Fe/Mn/Cu/Zn)에서는 각 기준양분 $70\%$, 기타 양분은 각각 $10\%$(합계 $100\%$) 비율로 시비처리 하였다. 1. 일반적으로 처리별 수량에 미치는 영향은 초종간 큰 차이를 보였으며 white clover는 orchardgrass 보다 더 크게 영향을 받았다. white clover의 처리별 수량변화는 뿌리/근류의 생육 및 개화특성 등과 연관성을 보였다(I보). 2. Fe/Cu 비율시험에서 orchardgrass의 수량은 $100/0\%$ 처리에서, white clover는 75/25 처리에서 다소 높은 수량을 보였다. 또한 white clover의 양호한 생육과 수량은 Cu 비율에 더 크게 영향을 받았고 orchardgrass는 Fe 비율에 더 영향을 받는 경향 이였다. 3. Mn/Zn 비율시험에서 두 초종 공히 높은 Mn 비율에서 양호한 수량을 보였다. 그러나 Mn-결핍조건에서는 white clover가 orchardgrass보다 상대적으로 더 수량감소를 보였다. 이에 비해서 Zn-함량의 변화와 이의 수량에 미치는 영향은 경미하였다. 4. Fe+Cu/Mn+Zn 비율시험에서 orchardgrass는 처리간 수량 차이가 경미하였다. white clover는 orchardgrass에 비해서 처리별 수량차이가 크게 나타났다. 75/25 처리에서 높은 수량을 보였으며 100/0 처리에서는 후반기에 심한 수량감소를 나타냈다. Fe/Mn/Cu/Zn 비율시험에서 white clover는 Cu와 Zn 처리에서 다소 양호한 수량을 보였고 이는 아마도 균형된 Fe/Mn 비율과도 연관된 것으로 보였다.

  • [ $0.96[Bio_{0.5}(Na_{0.84}K_{0.16})_{0.5}TiO_3]+0.04SrTiO_3+0.3wt%Nb_2O_5+0.2wt%La_2O_3+xwt%MnO_2$ ], were studied in order to develope the superior dielectric and piezoelectric properties of Lead-free Piezoelectric ceramics. With increasing amount of $MnO_2$ addition, density showed the maximum value of $5.79[gcm^3$] at 0.1wt% $MnO_2$ addition, and electromechanical coupling factor($k_p$) and dielectric constant decreased, and mechanical quality factor($Q_m$) increased and showed the maximum value of 161 at 0.3wt% $MnO_2$ addition.

  • In this study, (La,Sr)$MnO_{3+\delta}$ powder used cathode material for SOFC was synthesized with precursor by GNP and the properties of powder, crystal phase, electric properties and deoxidization properties with precursor were investigated. The synthesis powder was prepared when oxidant/fuel mole and pH were 1 and 1, respectively and the synthesis powder was synthesized by GNP method using nitrate solution or oxide solution as precursor. Deoxidization peak of the nitrate solution was appeared lower temperature than the oxide solution, at $450^{\circ}C$. In this result, synthesis (La,Sr)$MnO_{3+\delta}$ powder using nitrate solution with Mn excess was suitable cathode material for SOFC due to had higher deoxidization properties. Also synthesis (La,Sr)$MnO_{3+\delta}$ powder according to precursor had difference electrical conductivity according to influence sintering density and crystal phase with precursor. Specially, the synthesis method and starting material had effect on deoxidization properties for SOFC.

  • In this study, microstructural and dielectric properties of $Pb_{0.83}(La_{0.2}Ce_{0.8})_{0.08}TiO_3$(PCT) ceramics as a function of $MnO_2$ addition were investigated for 30MHz ceramic resonator application. Grain size was gradually increased according to the increase of $MnO_2$ addition amount and showed the highest value of $1.502{\mu}m$ at the 0.9wt% $MnO_2$. Moreover, density showed the highest value of $7.582 g/cm^3$ at the 0.7wt% $MnO_2$.All the composition ceramics,curie temperature was nearly constant around $330^{\circ}C$

  • In this study, the dielectric properties of $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-PbTiO_3$ Ceramics have been investigated as a addition of the amount of $MnO_2(0{\leq}x{\leq}0.9wt%)$. The Temperature-dependant dielectric characteristics of 0.9PMN-0.1PT relaxor ferroelectric system were improved by enhencing the extent of the diffuse phase transition(DPT). The maximum dielectric permittivity decreased by substitution $MnO_2$ and the dielectric loss decreased with increasing $MnO_2$ substitution amount. It is expected decreasing in inner heat energy for temperature with increasing $MnO_2$ substitution.
