  • 저온(32$0^{\circ}C$)에서 SiH$_4$$N_2$O 가스의 혼합을 통해 플라즈마화학기상증착(PECVD)법을 이용하여 실리카 광도파로의 클래딩막으로 사용되는 SiO$_2$후막을 제조하였다. 증착변수가 SiO$_2$후막의 특성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 $N_2$O/SiH$_4$flow ratio와 RF power에 변화를 주었다. $N_2$O/SiH$_4$ flow ratio가 감소함에 따라 증착속도는 2.9 $mu extrm{m}$/h), 굴절률은 thermal oxide의 굴절률(n=1.46)에 근접하였다.

전기펜톤공정을 이용한 석유화학공장 폐활성슬러지의 감량화 가능성 평가 (A study on reduction of excess sludge in activated sludge system from a petrochemical plant using electro fenton process)

  • The reduction of excess activated sludge from petrochemical plant was investigated by the electro fenton (E-Fenton) process using electrogenerated hydroxyl radicals which lead to mineralization of activated sludge to $CO_2$, water and inorganic ions. Factors affecting the disintegration efficiency of excess activated sludge in E-Fenton process were examined in terms of five criteria: pH, $H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$ molar ratio, current density, initial MLSS (mixed liquid suspended solids) concentration, $H_2O_2$ feeding mode. TSS total suspended solid and $TCOD_{cr}$ reduction rate increased with the increasing $H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$ molar ratio and current density until 42 and $6.7 mA/cm^2$, respectively but further increase of $H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$ molar ratio and current density would reduce the reduction rate. On the other hand, as expected, increasing pH and initial MLSS concentration of activated sludge decreas TSS and $TCOD_{cr}$ reduction rate. The E-Fenton process was gradually increased during first 30 minutes and then linearly proceed till 120 minutes. The optimal E-Fenton condition showed TSS reduction rate of 62~63% and $TCOD_{cr}$ (total chemical oxygen demand) reduction rate of 55~56%. Molar ratio $H_2O_2/Fe^{2+} = 42$ was determined as optimal E-Fenton condition with initial $Fe^{2+}$ dose of 5.4 mM and current density of $6.7{\sim}13.3 mA/cm^2$, initial MLSS of 7,600 mg/L and pH 2 were chosen as the most efficient E-Fenton condition.

The characteristics of Al-doped ZnO films deposited with RF magnetron sputtering system in various H2/(Ar+H2) gas ratios

  • The properties of Al-doped ZnO (AZO) films were investigated as a function of H2/(Ar + H2) gas ratio using an AZO (2 wt% Al2O3) ceramic target in a radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering system. The deposition process was done at 200 ℃ and in 2 × 10-2Torr working pressure and with various ratios of H2/(Ar + H2) gas. During the AZO film deposition process, partial H2 gas affected the AZO film characteristics. The electron resistivity (~ 9.21 × 10-4 Ωcm) was lowest and mobility (~17.8 ㎠/Vs) was highest in AZO films when the H2/(Ar + H2) gas ratio was 2.5%. When the H2/(Ar + H2) gas ratio was increased above 2.5%, the electron resistivity increased and mobility decreased with increasing H2/(Ar + H2) gas ratio in AZO films. The carrier concentration increased with increasing H2/(Ar + H2) gas ratio from 0% to 7.5%. This phenomenon was explained by reaction of hydrogen and oxygen and additional formation of oxygen vacancy. The average optical transmission in the visible light wavelength region over 90% and an orientation of the deposition was [002] orientation for AZO films grown with all H2/(Ar + H2) gas ratios.

과산화수소에 의한 시안의 분해특성 (Characteristics of Cyanide Decomposition by Hydrogen Peroxide Reduction)

  • 본 연구에서는 시안 성분을 제거함에 있어 처리수의 재활용이 가능한 과산화수소에 의한 시안분해 특성을 규명하기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 수용액중의 과산화수소의 자가분해반응은 pH와 금속촉매(Cu) 유무에 크게 좌우된다. pH 10 이하에서는 자가분해반응은 미미하여 90%이상의 과산화수소가 잔류하지만 pH 12에서는 90경과시 잔류 과산화수소가 9%이하로 낮아졌다. 금속촉매 첨가(5 g Cu/L)한 경우 pH 12에서도 40분 경과후 대부분의 과산화수소가 분해되었다. 유리시안의 휘발성은 용액의 pH에 크게 좌우된다. 동일한 240분 경과시 pH 8이하에서 대부분의 시안이 휘발하는데 반하여 pH 10이상에서는 10%미만이 휘발하였다. 비촉매반응에 의한 과산화수소의 시안분해실험에서는 $H_2$$O_2$/CN 몰비 4까지 과다하게 증가하여도 8%가량의 시안이 잔류하였다. 그러나 구리촉매반응에 의한 과산화수소의 시안분해 실험에서는 과산화수소 및 구리 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 분해속도가 증가하였다. 그러나 일정량 이상 첨가시 과산화수소의 자체분해 반응에 의해 $H_2$$O_2$의 시안분해 효율이 감소하며 과산화수소와 구리의 적정투입량은$ H_2$$O_2$/CN 몰비 2, Cu 몰비 0.05로서 이때의 분해속도는 22 mM/min, $H_2O$$_2$효율은 57%이었다. 또한 이러한 적정조건에서 70분 반응시 완전제거가 가능하였다.

  • Numerical simulations of freely propagating flames burning stoichiometric C $H_4$/CHC1$_3$/ $O_2$/$N_2$ mixtures are performed at atmospheric pressure in order to understand the effect of the $O_2$ enrichment level and the CHC1$_3$/C $H_4$ molar ratio. A chemical kinetic mechanism is developed, which involves 69 gas-phase species and 379 forward and 364 backward reactions. The calculated flame speeds are compared with the experiments for the flames established at several CHC1$_3$/C $H_4$ molar ratio (R<1), the results of which is in excellent agreement. As a results of the increased $O_2$ enrichment level from 0.21 to 1, the flame speed and the temperature in the burned gas are increased. At high CHC1$_3$/C $H_4$ molar ratio two peak values appear on the $O_2$ consumption rate, which are affected by CC1$_2$$O_2$$_{-}$>C1O+CC1O and H+ $O_2$$_{-}$>O+OH.+OH.

Direct Synthesis of H2O2 over Ti-Containing Molecular Sieves Supported Gold Catalysts: A Comparative Study for In-situ-H2O2-ODS of Fuel

  • Direct synthesis of $H_2O_2$ and in situ oxidative desulfurization of model fuel over Au/Ti-HMS and Au/TS-1 catalysts has been comparatively investigated in water or methanol. Maximum amount (82%) of active $Au^0$ species for $H_2O_2$ synthesis was obtained. Au/Ti-HMS and Au/TS-1 exhibited the contrary performances in $H_2O_2$ synthesis as $CH_3OH/H_2O$ ratio of solvent changed. $H_2O_2$ decomposition and hydrogenation in water was inhibited by the introduction of methanol. Effect of $O_2/H_2$ ratio on $H_2O_2$ concentration, $H_2$ conversion and $H_2O_2$ selectivity revealed a relationship between $H_2O_2$ generation and $H_2$ consumption. The highest dibenzothiophene removal rate (83.2%) was obtained over Au/Ti-HMS in methanol at 1.5 of $O_2/H_2$ ratio and $60^{\circ}C$. But removal of thiophene over Au/TS-1 should be performed in water without heating to obtain a high removal rate (61.3%). Meanwhile, $H_2$ conversion and oxidative desulfurization selectivity of $H_2$ were presented.

  • We prepared LiMn$_2$O$_4$ by reacting stoichiometric mixture of LiOH.$H_2O$ and MnO$_2$ (mole ratio 1 : 1) and heating at 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 24h, 36h, 48h, 60h and 70h. We obtained through X-ray diffraction that lattice parameter varied as function of heat treatment time. heated cathode active materials at 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 36h, (111)/(311) peak ratio was 0.37. It expected good charge/discharge characteristics. When (111)/(311) peak ratio was 0.37, it will be that crystal structure is farmed very well. In the result of charge/discharge test When heated at 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 36h, charge/discharge characteristic of LiMn$_2$O$_4$is the most property. It agree with our expectation.

  • Catalytic ignition of $H_2/O_2/CO_2$ mixtures over platinum catalyst is experimentally investigated by using microcalorimetry. For comparison, $N_2$ and Ar is also used as diluent gas. The gas mixture flows toward platinum foil heated by electric current at atmosphere pressure and ambient temperature. The ignition temperature range 350-445K according to the fuel ratio, dilution ratio and diluent gas. It increases as the fuel ratio and dilution ratio increase. $H_2/O_2$ mixture with $CO_2$ ignites at higher temperature than with other diluents by 30-50K. Several experimental evidences show the inhibition effects of $CO_2$ in $H_2-O_2$ heterogeneous reaction is considerable

수소 생성을 위한 플라즈마트론 개발 (Plasmatron Development for a Hydrogen Production)

  • 본 논문에서는 plasmatron을 사용하여 프로판의 개질에 의해 SynGas 생산의 최적의 조건을 연구하였다. 플라즈마는 공기와 아크 방전에 의해 생성되며 합성 가스의 상관 관계뿐만 아니라 수증기, $CO_2$ 또는 반응기에 촉매를 추가하여 프로판 전환에 미치는 영향과 수소의 수율, $H_2/CO$ 비에 대해 연구하였다. $O_2/C_3H_8$ 유량비, $H_2O/C_3H_8$ 유량비와 $CO_2/C_3H_8$ 유량비를 각각 $0.94{\sim}1.48,\;4.3{\sim}10$$0.8{\sim}3.05$로 변화하였을 때, $H_2O/C_3H_8$ 유량비의 변화 결과가 최대 $28.2{\sim}31.6%$$H_2$ 농도를 나타냈으며, 촉매를 추가하고 $H_2O/C_3H_8$ 유량비의 변화결과 $6.6{\sim}7.1%$의 최소 CO 농도를 나타냈다. 그리고 $H_2/CO$ 비는 $3.89{\sim}4.86$을 나타냈다.

실리카 광도파로용 SiON 후막 특성에서 RF Power와 $SiH_4$/($N_2$O+$N_2$) Ratio가 미치는 영향 (The Effect of RF Power and $SiH_4$/($N_2$O+$N_2$) Ratio in Properties of SiON Thick Film for Silica Optical Waveguide)

  • 플라즈마 화학기상증착(PECVD)법을 이용하여 실리카 광도파막의 코어로 이용되는 규소질산화막(SiON)을 Si 웨이퍼 위에 SiH$_4$,$N_2$O, $N_2$가스를 혼합하여 저온(32$0^{\circ}C$)에서 증착하였다. Prism coupler 측정을 통해 SiON 굴절률 1.4663~1.5496을 얻었으며, SiH$_4$/($N_2$O+$N_2$) 유량비와 rf power가 각각 0.33과 150W에서 8.67$mu extrm{m}$/h의 증착률을 나타내었다. 또한 SiH$_4$/($N_2$O+$N_2$) 유량비가 감소함에 따라 SiON막의 roughness는 41~6$\AA$까지 감소하였다.
