지하철 역사 공기질 모니터링 시스템의 구현 (Implementation of Indoor Air Quality Monitoring System for Subway Stations)

  • 지하철 역사의 미세먼지농도는 지하철 승객의 건강을 위해서 항상 모니터링되고 관리되어야 한다. 서울메트로와 서울도시철도공사는 몇몇 공기 오염물질을 주기적으로 측정하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지하철 역사의 $PM_{10}$ 농도를 연속해서 측정하기 위해, 선형회귀분석법을 이용하여 저가의 광산란식 미세먼지측정기의 성능을 향상시키고자 하였다. 이와 더불어, 지하철 역사의 대합실, 승강장, 터널, 외기의 $PM_{10}$, $CO_2$. 습도, 온도 등을 측정하고 기록하기 위해 CDMA M2M 기법을 적용한 무선통신 모니터링 시스템을 구축하였다.

  • Two major parameters, i.e. carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) and particulate matters smaller than $10{\mu}m\;(PM_{10})$, were selected as the index pollutants in managing indoor air quality. The former pollutant, $CO_2$, is the index that shows the ventilation status and is exhaled by passengers when they breathe in train or subway. It is generally known that high $CO_2$ concentration in the vehicle may be decreased by insufficient air-tightening vehicle bodies and the air is ventilated when vehicles stop at the station and doors open. However, there is no established proof or quantitatively identified data on how much the $CO_2$ concentration is reduced when ventilation is done while doors are opened. In this study, $CO_2$ concentrations were measured in 6 lines of Korail and one line of Seoul Metro subway linesand a theoretical approach was takento predict the changing trend of $CO_2$ concentrations during the operation of vehicle by using $CO_2$ dilution factor through natural ventilation. As a result, the change could be quantified and it was found that app. 35% of indoor $CO_2$ was removed through natural ventilation.

  • Sintering behavior of the Fe-0.8Mn-0.5C powder system was studied on the specimens with a density of ${\sim}7.0g/cc$ sintered at $1120^{\circ}C$ for 30 min in a gas mixture of $7%H_2/93%N_2$ with the inlet dew point of $-60^{\circ}C$. During the atmosphere monitoring ($CO/CO_2$-content and dew point) was showed, that carbothermical reduction occurs in two different temperature ranges; three peaks of dew point profile also can be distinguished during sintering cycle as well. Following sintering the Mn-content distribution and microstructures around the Mn-source were micro-analytical evaluated; the results showed that manganese travels through porous iron matrix up to ${\sim}60{\mu}m$.

  • A study has been conducted for an optimal processing and an apparatus for manufacturing a laser welded tube for one-body formed bumper beam. The tube dimensions used in calculation were the thickness of 1.4 mm, the diameter of 105.4 mm and the length of 2000 mm. The tube was formed of a cold rolled high strength steel plate(tensile strength of 600 MPa). The two-roll bending method was the optimal tube forming process in comparison with the UO-bending method, the bending method on the press brake, the multi-step continuous roll-forming method and the 3-roll bending method. Monitoring of the welding quality was conducted and the seam tracking along the butt-joint lengthwise to the tube axis was also examined. The longitudinal butt-joint was welded by using a $CO_2$ laser welding machine equipped with a seam tracker and a plasma sensor. The $CO_2$ laser tube welding machine could be used for precise seam tracking and real-time monitoring of the welding quality. As a result, the developed laser welded tube could be used for a one-body formed automobile bumper beam.

PPG 혈당 모니터링 시스템의 분석적 평가 - 연구자 임상 (Analytical Evaluation of PPG Blood Glucose Monitoring System - researcher clinical trial)

  • 본 연구는 모세관 혈당의 혈당값을 대조군으로 연구 참가자의 혈액 포도당을 모니티링할 때 PPG 센서와 DNN 예측알고리즘이 융합된 혈당모니터링 시스템(PPG-BGMS)의 성능을 평가하는 것이다. 연구는 2023년 9월부터 2023년 11월까지 참가자를 대상으로 실시된 연구자 임상시험이다. PPG-BGMS는 1분간의 심박수, 심박변이도 정보와 DNN 예측알고리즘을 활용한 예측된 혈당수치와 개인용혈당관리시스템의 혈당측정기로 측정한 모세관혈당 수치와 비교했다. 총 100명의 참가자 중 제2형 당뇨(T2DM) 유병인은 50명이며, 평균연령은 67세(28세~89세)이다. PPG-BGMS의 예측혈당의 100%가 Clarke 오류그리드 및 Parker(Consensus) 오류그리드의 A+B 영역에 분포하는 것으로 나타났다. PPG-BGMS 예측 혈당의 MARD 값은 5.3 ± 4.0 %이다. 결과에 의하면 비채혈식 PPG-BGMS는 임상표준의 채혈식 개인용 혈당측정시스템의 순간 혈당수치와 비교하여 열등하지 않는 것으로 분석되었다.

한반도 배경대기 중 온실기체의 농도 변동 특성 분석 (Analysis of Variation Characteristics of Greenhouse Gases in the Background Atmosphere Measured at Gosan, Jeju)

  • Increase of the greenhouse gases emissions during last century has led remarkable changes in our environment and climate system. Continuous monitoring of atmospheric constituents over the world is positively necessary to understand these changes around us. The concentrations of greenhouse gases ($CO_2,\;CH_4,\;N_2O,\;CFCs$) have been continuously measured at Global Climate Change Monitoring station in Gosan, Jeju since January, 2002. In this study, the variation characteristics of greenhouse gases as well as their annual, seasonal and diurnal trend using the data from January, 2002 to December, 2005 were analyzed. The raw data which was used in the analysis were validated with the methods recommended by WDCGG (World Data Center for Greenhouse Gases). The concentration of $CO_2$ was increasing continuously by 2.1 ppm/year, while $CH_4$ did not show any increasing or decreasing trend clearly for 4 years. The concentration of $N_2O$ was slightly increasing and CFCs were decreasing except CFC-12 which has longer lifetime compared with other CFCs. The variations of the greenhouse gases at Gosan were shown to be consistent with the global trend. But the concentration level of $CO_2$ in Korea was more or less higher than abroad.

u-EMS : 센서네트워크 기반의 가축매몰지 악취환경정보 실시간 모니터링 시스템 설계 및 구현 (The Design and Implementation of a Real-Time FMD Cattle Burial Sites Monitoring System Based-on Wireless Environmental Sensors)

  • 최근 구제역과 같은 가축질병으로 인한 살 처분된 가축매몰지의 적절한 모니터링 시스템의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 그러나 현재 사용되는 모니터링 시스템은 살 처분된 매몰지 현장에서의 시료를 채취한 후 1~2주간의 모니터링 기간을 필요로 함으로 실시간 감시가 필요로 하는 매몰지에 대한 연속측정이 불가능하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이런 실시간 모니터링을 가능하게 하는 우선 센서네트워크 기반의 가축매몰지 환경정보 모니터링 시스템 설계 및 구현을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템의 무선 센서노드는 환경센서(Dust, Co2, NH3, H2s, Temperature, Humidity)와 위치확인을 위한 GPS센서로 구성된다. 제안된 시스템은 게이트웨이를 통해 원격지 서버에 전송된 매몰지 환경정보를 분석함으로 언제 어디에서나 유해환경 모니터링이 기능하고 위치확인을 통한 상황에 따른 능동적인 대응을 가능케한다. 따라서 제안된 시스템의 유효성 검증을 위해 규정된 가스 배출관에 센서를 설치하였고, 통합 모니터링이 가능한 테스트 베드에서 실시간으로 수신된 데이터를 수집, 분석하여 시간의 변화에 따른 매몰지 위치의 악취환경변화를 모니터링 하였다. 이를 통한 상황에 따른 실시간 대응을 함으로 유사시 환경오염의 사전예방이 가능 한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

이산화탄소 지중저장의 국내적용을 위한 위해성 평가 방안 (A risk assessment of $CO_2$ geological storage for domestic application)

  • In recent years, the importance of Carbon Capture and Storage (hereafter CCS) is growing bigger and bigger. The development and commercialization of CCS technology are concerned for reducing carbon dioxide($CO_2$) emissions. For the most studies, the technology of $CO_2$ storage is known as the geological storage, ocean sequestration, mineral carbonation, industrial utilization, and so on. The geological storage is adjudged the most reasonable technology from economic and environmental aspects. Generally, the $CO_2$ geological storage is comprised of compression - transportation - drilling/injection - storage/management process. The critical problem is a leakage of $CO_2$ in all process. For resolving a leakage problem, it is necessary to predict and build a monitoring system. Those systems are proved safety of a leakage and received positive social perceptions of $CO_2$ geological storage. For those reasons, a risk assessment of $CO_2$ geological storage is required. A risk assessment is an estimated process of the possible effects when spilling $CO_2$. Although numerous studies of risk assessment have studied, it is incomplete to evaluate a risk and disaster quantitatively. The risk assessment will be developed for domestic application and safe $CO_2$ geological storage considering characteristics of Korea.

  • Time-lapse electrical resistivity measurements have been made in a scale model experiment for geological $CO_2$ sequestration in aquifer. Three types of $CO_2$ injection are tested in a water tank filled with glass beads. These are $CO_2$ dissolved into filtered tap water, $CO_2$ gas, and mineral oil. The mineral oil is a substitute for liquid phase of supercritical $CO_2$. For reconstructing three-dimensional resistivity images, we measure potential differences at 32 potential dipoles on the top surface of the tank due to two current dipoles on the front and back sides. The resultant resistivity images clearly show the movement of injected $CO_2$ in aquifer.

Smart Cargo Monitoring System Based on Decision Support System for Liquid Carrier Tanker

  • In this paper, we constructed the advanced cargo monitoring system for liquid cargo tankers which embedded the Decision Support System (DSS) based on the International Ship Management Code (ISM Code). To make this system, we first organized a base of expert's knowledge concerning liquid tanker operations that largely affect ocean accidents. We can find out the knowledge via inference method which simply imitates the fuzzy inference method. Based on this expert's knowledge, we constructed the DSS that provides a code of conduct for operating cargo tanks safely. The proposed monitoring system could eliminate human error when confronting dangerous situations, so the system will help sailors to operate cargo tanks safely.
