The composition, the preferred orientation and the magnetic properties of the CoFeCu alloys electrodepositen under various electrolysis conditions in sulfate baths ware investigated. As the D.C. current density increased, the Co content in alloy electrodeposits increased, while the Cu content decreased and Fe content remained content. The effect of magnetic field up to 300 Oe on the composition of alloys was negligible. The Cu content of the alloys deposited in pulse current increased noticeably with increasing off-time, while the Co and Fe content decreased. The coercivity of the alloys with 3.5 to 7.0wt.% Cu was 1.0 to 2.0 Oe, but increased noticeably above and below that composition. The application of magnetic field during deposition decreased the coercivity of alloys. The saturation flux density of the alloys with 3.5 to 5.0wt.% Cu was relatively high in the range from 16 to 20.7Gauss. The anisotropy field(HK) of the alloys deposited under the magnetic field(50∼300 Oe) ranged from 18 to 22 Oe. The alloys had fcc structure with (111) preferred orientation, whose distribution increased a little with increasing magnetic field.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of CO2 supplement on growth and quality in greenhouse lettuce cultivation. When CO2 was supplied at 1,500 ppm in lettuce cultivation, overall growth parameters such as number of leaves, leaf area, plant length, fresh weight, and dry weight were superior compared to those of the control group. While there was no significant difference in relative growth rate due to CO2 supplement, an increase in leaf area index was observed with CO2 usage. Furthermore, although there was no significant difference in the content of water-soluble vitamins such as Vitamin C, B1, B2, B5, and B6 due to CO2 supplement, the Vitamin B3 content in the CO2 treatment group was 0.5 mg/kg higher than in the control group. Therefore, the use of CO2 in lettuce cultivation resulted in increased yield and promoted growth, enabling early harvesting.
In this study, a mixed matrix membrane was prepared by varying the contents of PEI-GO@ZIF-8 synthesized in PEBAX 2533, and the permeation characteristics of N2 and CO2 were studied. The N2 permeability of the PEBAX/PEIGO@ZIF-8 mixed matrix membrane decreased as the PEI-GO@ZIF-8 content increased, and the CO2 permeability showed different trends depending on the PEI-GO@ZIF-8 content. The CO2 permeability increased in pure PEBAX membrane up to PEBAX/PEI-GO@ZIF-8 0.1 wt%, but decreased at the subsequent content. The PEI-GO@ZIF-8 0.1 wt% mixed matrix membrane had a CO2 permeability of 221.9 Barrer and a CO2/N2 selectivity of 60.0, showing the highest permeation properties with improved CO2 permeability and CO2/N2 selectivity among the prepared mixed matrix membrane and we obtained a result that reached the Robeson upper-bound. This is due to the -COOH, -O-, and -OH functional groups of GO and the amine group bonded to PEI, which interact friendly with CO2, and the effect of ZIF-8, which causes gate-opening for CO2 while the fillers are evenly dispersed in PEBAX.
In this study, we investigated permeation properties of single gas ($N_2$, $O_2$, $CO_2$) through membranes composed of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) (EVA) blend. The prepared membranes showed no new absorbance peaks, which indicate the physical blending of PEO and EVA by FT-IR analysis. SEM observation showed that the crystalline phase of PEO decreased with increasing EVA content in the PEO/EVA mixed matrix. DSC analysis showed that the crystallinity of the PEO/EVA blend membrane decreased with increasing EVA content. Gas permeation experiment was performed with various feed pressure (4~8 bar). The permeability increased in the following order: $N_2$ < $O_2$ < $CO_2$. The permeability of $CO_2$ in PEO/EVA blend membranes were increased with increasing feed pressure, However, the permeability of $N_2$ and $O_2$ were independent of feed pressure. On the other hand, the permeability of all the gases in PEO/EVA blend membranes increased with increasing amorphous EVA content in semi-crystalline PEO. In particular, the blend membrane with 40 wt% EVA showed $CO_2$ permeability of 64 Barrer and $CO_2/N_2$ ideal selectivity of 61.5. The high $CO_2$ permeability and $CO_2/N_2$ ideal selectivity are attributed to strong affinity between the polar ether groups of PEO or the polar ester groups of EVA and polar $CO_2$.

Several researchers have proposed models or equations to predict soil $CO_2$ flux from more readily available biotic and abiotic measurement. Tree commonly used abiotic variables were N mineral and soil temperature and soil water content. This study was conducted to determine $CO_2$ emission to mineral N, soil water content and soil temperature with clay loam and sandy loam in pepper cultivation in 2004~2005. $CO_2$ flux in the upland with different levels of soil water potential was measured at least once in two weeks during the cropping period in the pepper cultivation plots. Soil water potential in the clay loam and sandy loam soils was established at -30kPa and -50kPa by measuring the soil gravimetric water content with two replications. $CO_2$ emission rate from the differently managed plots was highly correlation coefficient to between the mineral N ($R=0.830^{**}$, $0.876^{**}$) and soil temperature ($r^2=0.793^{**}$, $0.804^{**}$) in the clay loam and sandy loam, respectively. However, the relationships between $CO_2$ emission and soil water content were non-significant. $CO_2$ emissions at sandy loam soils was lower to 21~37% than at clay loam soils for both soil water conditions without differences in yield. At difference levels of soil water conditions, $CO_2$ emission at -50kPa decreased to 37.5% in comparison with that at -30kPa. From the path analysis as to contribution factors of GHGs, it appeared that contribution rate was in the order of soil temperature (54.9%), mineral N (32.7%), and soil moisture content (12.4%).
The microstructures and mechanical properties of submicron WC-Co cemented carbides were investigated in relation to cobalt content. To inhibit the WC grain growth during sintering, VC was added as a inhibitor in each alloy with 3 mass% to the cobalt content. The WC-(5, 8, 10, 15, 20) mass% Co compacts were sintered at $1400^{\circ}C$ for 30 min in vacuum. Some of WC-(5, 8, 10) mass% Co sintered compacts were HIPed with 120 atm at 130$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 hr. The shrinkages of all HIPed alloys were increased without depending on the cobalt contents and the sintered densities of them. The relative densities of the alloys were increased with the cobalt content and HIPing. The less the cobalt content, the larger the WC grain. Many contiguities of WC grains were found in WC-5 mass% Co alloy. The sizes and numbers of pores in the alloys were decreased by HIPing. And also the strength and the hardness of each alloy were increased. The maximum hardness was about 18.95 GPa in the WC-5 mass% Co alloy HIPed and the maximum transverse-rupture strength (T.R.S.) 3.2 GPa in the WC-20 mass% Co alloy sintered.

The microstructure and electrical characteristics of ZPCD (ZnO-$Pr_{6}O_{11}$-CoO-$Dy_2O_3$) -based varistor ceramics were investigated with various $Pr_{6}O_{11}$/CoO ratios and sintering temperatures. The density of varistor ceramics with $Pr_{6}O_{11}$=1.0 was almost constant with sintering temperature, whereas it was increased noticeably in $Pr_{6}O_{11}$=0.5. Increasing $Pr_{6}O_{11}$ content enhanced the densification for any CoO content and the density was greatly affected not by CoO content but by $Pr_{6}O_{11}$ content. The varistor ceramics with $Pr_{6}O_{11}$/CoO=0.5/l.0 exhibited a higher nonlinearity than any other composition ratios. In particular, the varistor ceramics sintered at $1350^{\circ}C$ exhibited the best electrical properties, with nonlinear exponent of 37.8, leakage current of 7.6 ${\mu}$A, and tan $\delta$ of 0.059.
Rhizobium radiobacter T6102 was morphologically purified by the aniline blue agar plates to give two distinct colonies; white smooth mucoid colony (T6102W) and blue rough colony (T6102B). The coenzyme $Q_{10}$ ($CoQ_{10}$) was produced just by T6102W, showing 2.0 mg/g of $CoQ_{10}$ content, whereas the T6102B did not produce the $CoQ_{10}$. All of the used $CoQ_{10}$ biosynthetic precursors enhanced the $CoQ_{10}$ production by T6102W. Specifically, the supplementation of 0.75 mM isopentenyl alcohol improved the $CoQ_{10}$ concentration (19.9 mg/l) and content (2.4 mg/g) by 42% and 40%, respectively.
The segregation (distribution) of nickel and the composition of its constituents influence the low thermal expansion characteristics (Invar effect) in Fe-30 wt.% Ni-12.5 wt.% Co-xC Invar alloy. The change of coefficient of the thermal expansion and magnetic properties were studied as an aspect of carbon addition causing the segregation of Ni in primary austenite of as-cast Fe-30 wt.% Ni-12.5 wt.% Co Invar alloy. The coefficient of thermal expansion of Fe-30 wt.% Ni-12.5 wt.% Co-xC Invar alloy showed its lowest value at 0.08 wt.% carbon, increased with increasing carbon content in the range of 0.08-1.0 wt.%C, kept constant at 1.0-2.0 wt.%C and decreased at carbon higher than 2.0 wt.%. The effective distribution of the coefficient of nickel in as-cast Fe-30 wt.% Ni-12.5 wt.% Co-xC Invar alloy increased with increasing carbon content. The volume fraction of they phase of Fe-30 wt.% Ni-12.5 wt.% Co-xC alloy increased with increasing carbon content. The microstructure of Fe-30 wt.% Ni-12.5 wt.% Co-xC alloy changed with the carbon content was independent of the coefficient of thermal expansion. The Curie temperature changed linearly with the carbon content and was similar to the change of the coefficient of thermal expansion. Moreover, the coefficient of thermal expansion decreased when the ratio of saturation magnetization to Curie temperature ($\sigma_s/T_c$) increased, decreasing the Curie temperature and showed a specific relationship with the magnetic properties of the Fe-30 wt.% Ni-12.5 wt.% Co-xCInvar alloy.

We prepared various $LiNi_{0.8}Co_{0.15}Al_{0.05}O_2-LiFePO_4$ mixed-cathode electrodes by changing the content of $LiNi_{0.8}Co_{0.15}Al_{0.05}O_2$ and $LiFePO_4$ used, and we analyzed the electrochemical characteristics of the cathodes. We found that the reversible specific capacity of the cathodes increased and that the capacity retention ratios of the cathodes decreased during cycling as the content of $LiNi_{0.8}Co_{0.15}Al_{0.05}O_2$ increased. Conversely, we found that although the reversible specific capacity of the cathodes decreased because of the material composition, the cycle property of the cathodes increased when the $LiFePO_4$ content increased. We analyzed the thermal stability of the $LiNi_{0.8}Co_{0.15}Al_{0.05}O_2-LiFePO_4$ mixed-material cathodes by differential scanning calorimetry and found that it increased as the $LiFePO_4$ content increased.
