감마선투과검사 장치의 자동 원격조작기 개발 (Development of Automatic Remote Exposure Controller for Gamma Radiography)

  • 국내 감마선투과검사용 조사장치는 1,000여대로 2,500여명의 종사자가 대부분 수동으로 원격 조작하는 실정으로 작업의 효율화와 방사선피폭 저감화를 위하여 자동 원격조작기의 사용이 요구된다. 이에 연구팀은 실무에 적합한 토크와 안전계수로부터 $54kgf{\cdot}cm$의 출력을 지닌 24V, 200W의 BLDC모터를 이용하여 $0.4{\sim}1.2m/s$ 범위의 선원 이동 속도를 조절할 수 있는 구동장치와 RF 센서로 구동 속도 조절, 광전센서에 의한 선원 위치 및 timer로 노출시간을 제어할 수 있는 무선 원격조작기를 개발하였다. 이와 같이 개발한 자동원격조작기는 AC 와 DC 겸용, 그리고 기존의 수통 원격조작기에 탈착이 가능하여 자동과 수동을 겸용할 수 있는 경제적 이점 등으로 활용도가 클 것으로 기대된다.

  • The desin and implementation of a CMOS analog integrated circuit that provides dual-mode modulations, PWM for active clamp reset converter and PFM for LLC resonant converter, is described. The proposed controller is capable of implementing programmable soft start and current-mode control with compensating ramp for PWM and frequency shifting soft start for PFM. Also it provides delay time for both modes. PWM mode is implemented by active clamp reset converter and PFM mode is implemented by LLC resonant convereter, respectively. The chip is fabricated using the 0.6um high voltage CMOS process.

지하주거의 실내공기환경 실태조사와 CO2 조절기 및 타이머에 의한 환기팬 자동운전에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Actual Conditions of Indoor Air Quality of Underground Dwellings and the Automatic Ventilating Fan Operated by CO2 Controller and Timer)

  • The rapid urbanization after 1970s caused the shortage of dwellings in urban areas. As the result, the underground dwellings were developed to compensate for the insufficient dwelling spaces. While the underground dwellings have some advantage in the respect of thermal and acoustic environment, they usually have the basic problems in the indoor air quality because of the lack of natural ventilation through small window areas. The purpose of this study is to investigate and to improve the indoor air quality of underground dwellings. Thirty Units in Seoul and Gyung-Gi Province were investigated into the indoor environmental conditions. For the purpose of the improvement of their indoor air quality, Automatically-operated ventilating fan was installed in a sample unit which has worst indoor environmental condition. Then the indoor air quality was monitored when it was operated by $CO_2$ control system and timer. Finally economic feasibility study was made considering the effect of the improvement of indoor air quality. The extra cost for installing timer could be paid back only in 10 months, so timer-installed automatic fan is recommended to improve the indoor air quality of underground dwellings.

하이브리드 강제환기장치의 작동기준 및 설치위치에 관한 고찰

  • 하이브리드 환기설비 중 강제환기팬은 일반 강제환기방식처럼 팬의 용량은 [강 중 약]의 3단계로 운전이 가능하도록 규정하고 있다. 수동 및 자동환기를 위해 일부 환기업체를 중심으로 $CO_2$ 센서를 설치하여 공동주택의 실내환경 기준 농도인 1,000 ppm을 기준으로 자동으로 작동이 가능하도록 하고 있으며 $CO_2$ 센서는 controller에 내장하고 있다. 이때 환기팬이 자동으로 작동하기 위한 적절한 $CO_2$ 농도 및 $CO_2$ 센서의 적정위치에 대해 검토하고자 한다.

SOPC 기반의 재구성 가능한 로봇제어기 구현 (Implementation of SOPC-based Reconfigurable Robot Controller)

  • Recently, a variety of intelligent robots are developed for the personal purpose beyond the industrial application. These intelligent robots have ranges of sensors, actuators, and control algorithms to their application. In this paper we propose a reconfigurable robot controller, $SR^2$c (The SOPC-based Reconfigurable Robot Controller), based on SOPC (System on a Programmable Chip), that can be reconfigurable easily by software. The proposed robot controller contains not only a processing module but also robot-specific IP's. To show a feasibility of the proposed robot controller, a small entertainment robot, Wizard-4 is implemented with a single chip controller as proposed in this paper.

  • For the anti-sway control of traveling cranes, there are several solutions, i.e., by fuzzy control, by optimal control theory, etc. Each of them is reported to be effective. And, H infinity control and $H_2$ control can be also used. However, the full order observer which estimates all states in the controlled object is used in these methods. Therefore, the orders of these controllers are apt to be higher than that of the optimal controller, etc. Because the conventional H2 controller which minimizes $H_2$ norm consists of two parts, that is: feedback gains which make the controlled object stable and the full order observer which estimate those states. If the minimal order observer is used instead of the full order one, the order of the controller can be reduced. In this paper, we propose a new method based on the minimalization of $H_2$ norm using the minimal order observer. And, we confirm the effect of a new $H_2$ controller in the experiments of the anti-sway control of a traveling crane.

  • This study proposes a voltage control scheme in a synchronous reference frame to improve the dynamic characteristics of double-conversion UPSs. UPSs need to control positive and negative sequence voltage, so that positive and negative sequence extractors are generally used to obtain each sequence of the voltage and current. Voltage and current controllers for each sequence are implemented. However, the extractor causes considerable delay, and the delay restricts the control performance, especially for the current controller. To improve the dynamics of the current controller, the proposed scheme adopts a unified current controller without separating positive and negative sequences. By using discrete-time current controller, the control bandwidth can be extended significantly so that negative sequence current can be controlled. To enhance the performance, an additional feed-forward technique for output voltage regulation is proposed. The validity of the proposed controller is verified by experiments.

  • A large portion of the embedded system development process involves the integration of hardware and software. Unfortunately, communication across the hardware/software boundary is tedious and error-prone to create. This paper presents an automatic hardware/software interface generation system. As the front-end of hardware/software co-design frameworks, a system designer defines XML specifications for hardware functions. Our system generates hardware/software interfaces including Device Driver, Driver API, and Device Controller from these specifications. Embedded software designers can easily use hardware just like system libraries. Our system reduces the mistakes and errors that can be occurred when a software programmer directly connects software to hardware, and supports balancing labors between hardware developers and software programmers. Moreover, this system can be used as the back-end for a hardware/software co-design framework.

  • Seismic isolation systems are essentially designed to preserve structural safety, prevent occupants injury and properties damage. An active saturated LMI-based control design is proposed to attenuate seismic disturbances in base-isolated structures under saturation actuators. Using a mathematical model of an eight-storied building structure, an active control algorithm is designed. Performance evaluation of the controller is carried out in a simplified model version of a benchmark building system, which is recognized as a state-of-the-art model for numerical experiments of structures under seismic perturbations. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is robust with respect to model and seismic perturbations. Finally, the performance indices show that the proposed controller behaves satisfactorily and with a reasonable control effort.

H^$\infty$ Controller Design Based on NLCF Models: A Unified Approach for Continuous and Discrete Systems

  • In this paper, a unified approach to the H\ulcorner controller design is proposed under the $\delta$-form for both continuous and discrete systems. Most of important basic concepts of H\ulcorner control, such as inner, co-inner, GCARE and GFARE, are reformulated by the unified form. The NLCF(Normalized left Comprime Factor) plant description has been reviewed in the $\delta$-form, and some corresponding results are proposed. And the unified H\ulcorner controller is designed which is based on the McFarlane and Glover{1]. The state-space parameterization for all suboptimal controllers is given under the NLCF model which may not be strictly proper, and the central controller is derived by using the solution to Hankel norm approximation problem[2]. The unified controller is applied to the industrial boiler control problem to exemplify the performance of the controller.
