  • GTL(Gas-to-Liquids)공정 중 합성가스 제조공정(Reforming Process)인 ATR(Auto-Thermal Reforming), SCR(Steam Carbon Reforming), POx(Partial Oxidation)의 시뮬레이션 연구를 수행하였다. Reforming 공정에서 생산된 합성가스는 GTL 합성유 제조공정인 FT(Fischer-Thropsch) 반응기로 주입되며, 합성유 생산에 최적의 효율을 보이는 H2/CO 비(합성가스에 포함된 반응물비)는 2.0으로 알려져 있다. FT공정은 합성가스를 원료로 고온 및 고압 반응을 거쳐 GTL 공정의 최종 생산품인 FT합성유를 제조하는 공정이다. 본 연구에서는 FT공정 효율 극대화를 위해 reforming 공정에서 생성되는 합성가스 내 H2/CO의 비를 2로 수렴토록 모사조건을 설정하였으며, 상기 조건을 만족하는 reforming 공정들의 운전 온도 및 feed 조성을 분석하고 비교하고자 한다. 현재 GTL 플랜트관련 산업계에 적용 혹은 주 연구대상인 reforming 공정으로는 ATR, SCR, POx 공정이 있다. ATR 공정은 $850{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$에서 메탄, 스팀 및 산소를 원료로 활용하여 H2 및 CO를 생산하는 공정으로 발열/흡열 반응이 상존하여 에너지 비용이 낮지만 공정구조 상 열회수설비 및 ASU(Air Separation Unit)이 필요하기에 CAPEX(초기설비 설치비용)가 높은 편이다. SCR공정은 CH4, Steam 및 CO2를 연료로 하기에 이산화탄소가 일정부분 포함된 가스전에도 적용이 가능하나 공정 운전 중 지속적으로 외부에서 열을 공급해야 하기에 에너지 투입비용이 높은편이며, 탄소침적의 문제가 있어 대용량 플랜트에는 적합하지 않다. POx공정은 약 $1,500^{\circ}C$의 고온에서 CH4가 O2에 의해 부분 산화되는 방식으로 촉매가 필요없어 설비비가 타 공정에 비해 저렴하나 생산가스의 H2/CO비가 다소 낮아 전체적인 GTL 공정효율이 저하되는 단점이 있다. 상기 세 공정은 GTL 산업계에서 실증 및 효율증대를 위해 주로 연구되는 공정이기에 본 연구의 분석대상으로 설정하였다. 본 연구에서는 상용공정모사기인 Aspen Plus를 활용하여 reforming 공정별로 FT합성공정의 최적 조건(H2/CO=2)을 만족하는 합성가스 생산조건 분석 및 비교를 수행할 예정이다. 운전조건인 공정 운전온도 및 feed 가스조성 등을 모사하기 위해 합성가스 reforming 공정을 모델링하고 공급유량 및 압력 등의 운전변수는 GTL국책과제 1단계 연구수행 결과를 토대로 선정하고자 한다. GTL공정의 경우, 설비의 운전조건이나 연료가스의 구성 및 유량에 따라 적합한 reforming 공정이 다르기에 본 시뮬레이션 결과를 향후 GTL 플랜트 공정모델 설계시 reforming 공정선정에 참고자료로 활용하고자 한다.

Study of the corrosion effect of CO2 stream with SO2 and NO2 on a phosphate coated steel tube (SO2 및 NO2 포함 고압 CO2 스트림이 인산염 코팅 CO2 수송관 부식에 미치는 영향)

  • To mitigate global warming and climate change, many countries are investing massively on the development of CCS technology, which is assumed to be the key technology to reduce $CO_2$ emissions. CCS technology is comprised of the capture, transport, and storage processes. During the capture process, impurities other than $CO_2$ are inevitably flowed into the $CO_2$ stream. In the present study, corrosion characteristics of a phosphate coated tube for $CO_2$ transportation was investigated with a $CO_2$ stream composed of $CO_2$, $H_2O$, $SO_2$, and $NO_2$. The test specimen was a phosphate coated steel tube, which was filled with $CO_2$ stream with the impurities mentioned above. SEM-EDS analysis is conducted to investigate the corrosion behavior. The results showed that although the H2O concentration did not exceed the solubility limit, corrosion occurred in the specimen, which has an inflow of $SO_2$ or $NO_2$. This suggests that the $SO_2$, $NO_2$ and $H_2O$ concentration should be strictly controlled. These results suggest that the $SO_2$ and $NO_2$ concentration should be controlled below 175ppm and 65ppm, respectively.

  • A magentotelluric (MT) survey at the Uiseong area has been performed for the site investigation of pilot scale $CO_2$ sequestration. The purpose of the MT survey is to delineate deeply extended fracture systems that can act as a leakage path of injected $CO_2$ Plume. Since the target area is extremely noisy in electromagentic sense, low frequency data below 1 Hz cannot be used for inversion. Two- and three-dimensional interpretation of the MT data showed a very clear conductive anomaly, which has the direction of $N55\sim65^{\circ}W$ and is extended roughly down to 1.6 km. It have the same direction with the strike-slip faults, the Gaeum and Geumcheon Faults. On the contrary, the eastern part of the survey area shows relatively homogeneous to the depth of 2 km though some small fractures at shallow depths can be found. Test drilling and high-definition borehole surveys should be followed at the eastern part of the survey area and hydraulic fracturing is required for injection of $CO_2$, because mean porosity of the sedimetary rock in the area is only 1.47%.

원자로내 용융물 재배치시 용기 하부의 온도 거동

  • 중대사고시 노심의 손상에 의한 노심용융물이 원자로 용기 하부 반구로 재배치될 때 고온의 노심용융물에 의한 열적 부하로 원자로 용기의 파손을 일으키게 된다. 원자로 용기하부 반구 내에서의 노심용융물의 열적 거동 및 하부 반구에 대한 열적 부하에 대한 분석은 용융물의 성분 및 재배치 과정의 복잡성 등으로 인한 실험적 모사의 한계성 및 현상 분석의 난이함에도 불구하고 기존 원자로의 중대사고에 대한 안전 여유도의 제고와 이에 따른 노내외 사고 관리 전략의 수립을 위하여 연구의 필요성이 제기된다. 본 연구에서는 노심용융물 냉각연구(SONATA-IV)의 예비 실험으로 노심용융물의 상사물로 $Al_2$O$_3$/Fe Thermite 용융물을 이용하여 실제 원자로 용기 하부 반구를 1/8 로 선형 축소한 반구형 실험 용기로 주입하는 실험을 수행하였다. 아울러 원자로 용기 하부 반구로 재배치된 노심용융물에 의한 열적, 기계적 부하에 대한 분석을 수행하기 개발된 유한 요소 프로그램인 CALF (Computer Analysis for Lower Head Failure ) 코드를 이용한 하부 반구의 열적 거동에 대한 해석 결과를 정리하였다. 용융물 주입 실험 결과 용융물 주입과 동시에 하부 반구에 직경 5cm 크기의 하부 반구 파손이 발생하였다. 이는 고온 용융물에 의한 제트류(Jet Impingement)의 효과로 생각된다 동일한 조건에서 CALF 코드로 하부 반구의 열적 거동을 분석하였는데, 실험과는 달리 하부 반구의 파손이 발생하지 않았다 이같은 해석 결과는 용융물의 제트류 효과가 존재하지 않는다면 고온의 용융물이 하부 반구 내로 재배치되더라도 하부 반구의 파손이 발생하지 않는다는 것을 보여준다.>$_3$ 흡착제 제조시 TiO$_2$ 함량에 따른 Co$^{2+}$ 흡착량과 25$0^{\circ}C$의 고온에서 ZrO$_2$$Al_2$O$_3$의 표면에 생성된 코발트 화합물을 XPS와 EPMA로 부터 확인하였다.인을 명시적으로 설명할 수 있다. 둘째, 오류의 시발점을 정확히 포착하여 동기가 분명한 수정대책을 강구할 수 있다. 셋째, 음운 과 정의 분석 모델은 새로운 언어 학습시에 관련된 언어 상호간의 구조적 마찰을 설명해 줄 수 있다. 넷째, 불규칙적이며 종잡기 힘들고 단편적인 것으로만 보이던 중간언어도 일정한 체계 속에서 변화한다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 다섯째, 종전의 오류 분석에서는 지나치게 모국어의 영향만 강조하고 다른 요인들에 대해서는 다분히 추상적인 언급으로 끝났지만 이 분석을 통 해서 배경어, 목표어, 특히 중간규칙의 역할이 괄목할 만한 것임을 가시적으로 관찰할 수 있 다. 이와 같은 오류분석 방법은 학습자의 모국어 및 관련 외국어의 음운규칙만 알면 어느 학습대상 외국어에라도 적용할 수 있는 보편성을 지니는 것으로 사료된다.없다. 그렇다면 겹의문사를 [-wh]의리를 지 닌 의문사의 병렬로 분석할 수 없다. 예를 들어 누구누구를 [주구-이-ν가] [누구누구-이- ν가]로부터 생성되었다고 볼 수 없다. 그러므로 [-wh] 겹의문사는 복수 의미를 지닐 수 없 다. 그러면 단수 의미는 어떻게 생성되는가\ulcorner 본 논문에서는 표면적 형태에도 불구하고 [-wh]의미의 겹의문사는 병렬적 관계의 합성어가 아니라 내부구조를 지니지 않은 단순한 단어(minim

  • Quick-hardening track (QHT) is a construction method which is used to change from old ballast track to concrete track. Sufficient time for construction is important, as the construction should be done during operational breaks at night. Most of the time is spent on exchanging the ballast layer. If it is possible to apply the ballast non-exchange type of quick-hardening track, it would be more effective to reduce the construction time and costs. In this paper, pouring materials with high permeability are suggested and a construction method involving a layer separation pouring process considering the void condition is introduced in order to develop ballast non-exchange type of QHT. The separate pouring method can secure the required strength because optimized materials are poured into the upper layer and the lower layer for each void ratio condition. To ensure this process, a rheology analysis was conducted on the design of the pouring materials according to aggregate size, the aggregate distribution, the void ratio, the void size, the tortuosity and the permeability. A polymer series was used as the pouring material of the lower layer to secure the void filling capacity and for adhesion to the fine-grained layer. In addition, magnesium-phosphate ceramic (MPC) was used as the pouring material of the upper layer to secure the void-filling capacity and for adhesion of the coarse-grained layer. As a result of a mechanics test of the materials, satisfactory performance corresponding to existing quick-hardening track was noted.

Relationship between Hydrochemical Variation of Groundwater and Gas Tigtness in the Underground Oil Storage Caverns (지하원유비축기지 공동주변 지하수의 수질화학적 변화와 기밀성과의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of hydrochemical variation of groundwater on the gas tigtness in an unlined oil storage cavern. The groundwater chemistry is greatly influenced by the seawater mixing, the water curtain and the dissolution of grounting cements. The chemical composition of groundwater greatly varies ac-cording to both the location of monitoring wells and the sampling period. Most of groundwater shows alkaline pH and high electrical conductivity. The chemical types of groundwater show the dominant order as follows : Na-Cl type > Ca-Cl type > $Ca-HCO_3(CO_3)$ type. Thermodynamic equilibrium state between chemical composition of groundwater and major minerals indicates that carbonate minerals except clay minerals can be precipitated as a secondary mineral. It means that the secondary precipitates can not greatly exerts the clogging effect into fracture aperture in rock mass around oil storage cavern. The content of total organic carbon (TOC) shows a slightly increasing trend from initial stage to late stage. The $EpCO_2$ was computed so as to assess the gas contribution on the $CO_2$ in groundwater. The $EpCO_2$ of 0$\~$41.3 indicates that the contribution of oil gas on $CO_2$ pressure in groundwater system can be neglected.

  • The characteristics analysis and pH neutralization test were carried out to use of slurry generated from recycling processes of construction wastes. D (5.0) of raw sludge was $42.4{\mu}m$ and over 60 % of sludge distribute under 45 um (-325 mesh). Muscovite and carbonate minerals were main minerals of fine particles, and the portion of carbonate minerals increased as particle size decreased. Although the more heavy metals were observed in the finer particle size, the contents was found to be less than Korean contaminated soil regulation (area 2). The effects of flocculants addition for accelerating solid-liquid separation were negligible because the slurry already contains excess of coagulant added in the waste concrete recycling process. It was difficult to neutralize the sludge supernatant due to high pH (about 12) by adding acids, but the introduction of $CO_2$ decreased the pH to 8.5, The precipitate recovered during $CO_2$ introduction was determined to be $CaCO_3$ with XRD, and it indicates that high pure $CaCO_3$ could be obtained during the process.

Study on the Simple Preparation Method of Honeycomb-structured Catalysts by Temperature-regulated Chemical Vapor Deposition (온도조절 화학기상증착법을 활용한 대용량 허니컴 구조촉매 제조 연구)

  • We report on the simple preparation method of large-scale structured catalysts by temperature-regulated chemical vapor deposition with a high cell-density ceramic honeycomb monolith. And the feasibility for dry reforming of methane catalysts was evaluated. The NiO/Cordierite (CDR) catalyst was prepared by controlling coating conditions at each temperature step, leading to a conformal deposition of NiO inside the cordierite honeycomb monolith with the cell density of 600 cpsi. The catalytic conversion of $CH_4$ and $CO_2$ for dry reforming of methane were about 83% and 90% with gas hourly space velocity of $10,000h^{-1}$ at $800^{\circ}C$, respectively. As a result, it exhibited that the temperature-regulated chemical vapor deposition method can be expedient for the preparation of large-scale structured catalysts.

  • The membrane separation process for carbon dioxide capture from hydrogen reformer exhaust gas has been developed. Using a commercial membrane module, a multi-stage process was developed to achieve 90% of carbon dioxide purity and 90% of recovery rate for ternary mixed gas. Even if a membrane module with being well-known properties such as material selectivity and permeability, the process performance of purity and recovery widely varies depending on the stage-cut, the pressure at feed and permeate side. In this study, we verify the limits of capture efficiency at single-stage membrane process under various operating conditions and optimized the two-stage recovery process to simultaneously achieve high purity and recovery rate.

A Study of Heavy Metal-Contaminated Soil Remediation with a EDTA and Boric acid Composite(II): Cd and Cr (EDTA와 붕산 혼합용출제를 이용한 중금속으로 오염된 토양의 처리에 관한 연구(II): 카드뮴 및 크롬)

  • To investigate the optimal operation factors in appling Soil Flushing Process, which use EDTA and boric acid composite as a flushing reagent, to the Cd(cadmium) and Cr(chromium) contaminated sites, Cd and Cr emediation rate was investigated at various experimental conditions; as EDTA concentration was increased from 0.001M to 0.1M, Cd remediation rate was increased from $73.2\%\;to\;98.5\%$; as boric acid concentration was increased from 0.001M to 0.1M, Cr remediation rate was increased from $59.2\%\;to\;99.0\%$. In the experiments using 0.005M of EDTA and 0.005M of boric acid composite as a flushing reagent at different pH regimes, Cd remediation rate was decreased from $92.4\%\;to;80.9\%$ as the pH was increased from 3 to 7. But Cr remediation rate was more effective ($70.4\%$) at pH 5 compared to the other pHs. Furthermore, at pH 5, Cd and Cr remediation rate was investigated at different molecular ratio of [EDTA]/[Boric aicd]; the optimized [EDTA]/[Boric acid] ratio was 0.01M/0.1M for Cd contaminated site and, as the concentration of boric acid was increased over 0.1M, Cr remediation rate was also increased. So the similar results were shown in the experiments using real contaminated soils which were sampled from a mining and a industrial area.
