  • The oxidation of cholesterol in tallow heated at three frying temperatures, 130, 150 and 18$0^{\circ}C$ was studied by assaying cholesterol oxidation products(COP)by GC-MS. The correlation between levels of COP and changes of physicochemical parameters (peroxide value, polymer, polar components and dielectric constant) in tallow heated were studied. As temperature increased, the amount of cholesterol was decreased proportionally with heating time. However, the levels of COP did not increase considerably with increased frying temperature. The rate of cholesterol disappearance was the greatest at 18$0^{\circ}C$ and the smallest at 13$0^{\circ}C$. Larger amounts of COP formed were found at 15$0^{\circ}C$ than at 18$0^{\circ}C$. The levels of COP formed in tallow heated showed highly correlation with(r=0.94, n=30, p<0.01) polymer, polar components and dielectric constant, respectively.

핀-관, 평행류 열교환기를 적용한 공조기의 냉방성능 실험연구 (Experimental Study on Cooling Performance of A/C applied Fin-tube and PF Heat Exchangers)

  • 본 연구에서는 핀-관 열교환기와 평행류(PF) 열교환기를 실외 열교환기로 적용한 공조기의 실내외 온도/습도와 같은 환경변화에 대한 냉방성능을 비교 조사하고자 하였다. KS C 9306의 냉방표준 온도조건을 기준으로 핀-관, 2종류의 PF 열교환기를 적용한 공조기 성능변화를 이해하기 위하여 냉방능력과 COP를 획득하였다. 실험을 위해 공기엔탈피 방식의 칼로리미터를 사용하였다. PF 열교환기는 핀-관 열교환기보다 우수한 열전달 능력을 보였다. 그리고 사각형 핀을 적용한 PF형 공조기의 성능이 삼각형 핀의 경우보다 우수하였다. 실내 토출공기의 유속, 실내온도 그리고 실내상대습도가 높아질수록 냉방능력과 COP는 증가를, 실외온도가 높아질수록 냉방능력과 COP는 감소를, 그러나 실외 상대습도 증가에 따른 성능변화는 미미하였다.

  • In the present study, the cooling characteristics of the multi-air conditioner (A/C) using an inverter scroll compressor are experimentally investigated for the number of the indoor units and the operating conditions (2$0^{\circ}C$, 24$^{\circ}C$, 26$^{\circ}C$) under the cooling standard conditions by KS C 9306. In the case of the simultaneous operation for 3 indoor units, the cooling capacity, the mass flow rate and the input power have a decreasing trend and COP has an increasing trend, with decreasing the difference in the operating temperature of the indoor unit and the room temperature. In the case of the simultaneous operation for 2 indoor units, the COP of the indoor unit with large cooling capacity is high when the operating temperature is high, but the COP of the indoor unit with low cooling capacity is high when the operating temperature is low. In the case of the single operation for one unit, when the large cooling capacity of the indoor unit is less than 50% the compressor operates at the minimum operation frequency region and the COP decreases.

외기온 변화에 따른 공기-공기/공기-물 형태로 된 복합형 열펌프 시스템의 성능 특성 분석 (Performance Analysis of Hybrid Heat Pump System of the Air-to-Air/Air-to-Water with the Ambient Temperature)

  • The hybrid heat pump system of the air to air and / or air to water was composed and its COP was analyzed with the ambient temperature on the opened and closed loop system respectively. The results be indicated by the equation(7) that the COP(Coefficient of Performance) of air-source(air to air and / or air-water) heat pump is effected with the ambient air temperature and AVACTHE.(Automatic Variable Area Capillary Type Heat Exchanger) 2. The COP of air-to-water heat pump without AVACTHE decreased in accordance with the ambient temperature decrease, however in case of the heat pump with AVACTHE the COP was maintained at 2.8∼3.0 level when the ambient temperature decrease from -$5^{\circ}C$ to $-11^{\circ}C$. 3. The COP of the air-to-water heat pump operated on the open loop was higher 40∼58% than that of the heat pump operated on the close loop. 4. The lower ambient temperature air effect on the COP of the air-to-air heat pump operated on the semi closed loop could be controlled using the AVACTHE, and at the high ambient air temperature the COP increased using the Bypass circuit.

  • In this study, the performance of the simultaneous heating & cooling water making system using R134a was investigated by simulation. The most important effect upon heating COP was intermediate pressure depending on input water temperature. With the input water temperature of $10^{\circ}C\;and\;20^{\circ}C$, optimum intermediate pressure were 923 and 1040kPa, respectively. At that optimum intermediate pressure, the maximum heating COP of the system operated between $0^{\circ}C$ evaporating temperature and $70^{\circ}C$ condensing temperature were 4.15 and 3.83. With installation of the subcoolers in high or low pressure section, the system COP was increased by reducing the refrigerant mass flow rate. Under the optimum pressure and $10^{\circ}C$ input water temperature, it was found that heating COP was maximized when the low-subcooler and high-subcooler capacity rate were taken by 14% and 13%, respectively.

  • The objectives of this paper are to investigate the performance of silica gel-water adsorption refrigeration system with heat recovery process from the system experiment. This system can be driven by waste heat at near ambient temperature from $60^{\circ}C$ to $90^{\circ}C$. The cooling capacity and coefficient of performance(COP) were measured from various experimental conditions. An experimental results revealed the influence of operating temperatures(hot, cooling and chilled water), water flow rates, and adsorption-desorption cycle times on cooling capacity and COP. Under the standard conditions of $80^{\circ}C$ hot water, $25^{\circ}C$ cooling water, $14^{\circ}C$ chilled water inlet temperatures and 420sec cycle time, a cooling capacity of 1.14kW and a COP for cooling of 0.55 can be achieved.

Surface expression of TTYH2 is attenuated by direct interaction with β-COP

  • TTYH2 is a calcium-activated, inwardly rectifying anion channel that has been shown to be related to renal cancer and colon cancer. Based on the topological prediction, TTYH2 protein has five transmembrane domains with the extracellular N-terminus and the cytoplasmic C-terminus. In the present study, we identified a vesicle transport protein, ${\beta}$-COP, as a novel specific binding partner of TTYH2 by yeast two-hybrid screening using a human brain cDNA library with the C-terminal region of TTYH2 (TTYH2-C) as a bait. Using in vitro and in vivo binding assays, we confirmed the protein-protein interactions between TTYH2 and ${\beta}$-COP. We also found that the surface expression and activity of TTYH2 were decreased by co-expression with ${\beta}$-COP in the heterologous expression system. In addition, ${\beta}$-COP associated with TTYH2 in a native condition at a human colon cancer cell line, LoVo cells. The over-expression of ${\beta}$-COP in the LoVo cells led to a dramatic decrease in the surface expression and activity of endogenous TTYH2. Collectively, these data suggested that ${\beta}$-COP plays a critical role in the trafficking of the TTYH2 channel to the plasma membrane.

열펌프 성능향상을 위한 공기 열교환기 부착효과 (Attachment of the Air Heat Exchanger for COP Improvement in the Heat Pump)

  • Performance of the heat pump with attaching an air heat exchanger was investigated in the heating condition when the air heat exchanger was worked in the ambient air temperature of -5 to 11$\^{C}$ and air flow rate of 542 to 747 ㎡/h. Performance tests for heating condition were conducted in an experimental room equipped with heat pump. The performance tests were performed in a ambient temperature of -4 ∼ 11$\^{C}$, and room temperature of 4∼22$\^{C}$ respectively. Measured data(temperature, capacity of heat transfer and consumption of electronic power) were analyzed to the efficiency of HEEVA(Heat Exchanger fur the Evaporator), overall heat transfer coefficient and COP of heat pump. The results of inlet temperature for evaporator increased that the temperature was 2 ∼6$\^{C}$, and inlet temperature for condenser decreased that the temperature was 3 ∼ 8$\^{C}$. The results of comparing efficiency of HEEVA for the ratio of heat exchange between hot air and cold air showed that efficiency were considered to 91% because of the ratio of 83∼98%. The results of comparing of COP for the heat pump increased that improvement COP was approximately 0.3∼7.5 than HEEVA had not been operated.

원수열원 히트펌프 축열시스템의 동절기 성능분석 (Winter Season Performance Characteristics of Raw Water-Source Heat Pump System with a Thermal Storage Tank)

  • Performance of the raw water-source heat pump system with a thermal storage tank has been analyzed in winter season. The raw water is transferred through the multi-regional water supply system from Han river. Raw water is large temperature difference resource compared with groundwater. Although the raw water temperature drops to $0.6^{\circ}C$ due to the heavy snowfall and the severe cold in late January and early February, 2010, the system has been normally operated without any trouble this winter. The unit COP and system COP considered all pump power consumption were estimated based on the second-by-second data of the all sensors. The monthly averaged unit COP and system COP are 3.37 and 2.76 respectively with $1.4^{\circ}C$ of raw water in January, 3.55 and 2.89 with $1.6^{\circ}C$ raw water in February, 3.82 and 3.15 with $5.4^{\circ}C$ raw water in March. The performance of the system are increased with raw water temperature, and the COPs are higher than the water-to-air heat pump system using relatively high temperature raw water from Daecheong reservoir because the water-to-water system was operated on the full load condition and was stopped when the thermal storage tank was full of the high temperature water.

유출지하수 열원 지열히트펌프시스템의 난방성능 (Heating Performance of Ground source Heat Pump using Extruding Ground Water)

  • 유출지하수는 지하공간이 깊고 넓게 분포하는 건물에서 자연적으로 유출되어 배출되는 낮은 심도의 지하수이다. 본 연구에서는 신축된 교회건물에서 유출되는 지하수를 열원으로 밀폐형태와 개방형태의 열교환기를 활용하여 각각 5RT급 히트펌프시스템을 난방모드로 운전한 결과를 정리하였다. 실험은 난방순환수의 온도를 $43{\sim}49$ $^{\cdot}C$ 범위에서 제어하면서 진행하였으며, 시스템 COP에 있어서 밀폐형은 $4.12{\sim}4.75$, 개방형은 $3.42{\sim}3.98$의 범위에서 측정되었다. 이는 기존의 지열히트펌프시스템의 COP와 대동 소이한 우수한 성능이라고 판단된다. 또한 펌프동력을 제외한 히트펌프 자체 난방COP에 있어서 밀폐형은 $4.69{\sim}5.81$, 개방형은 $4.38{\sim}5.43$의 범위에서 나타났다. 유출지하수의 온도가 겨울철에도 약 $12{\sim}14^{\cdot}C$를 유지하므로 히트펌프와 시스템전체의 COP가 매우 우수한 값을 나타내고 있음이 확인되었다.
