  • This study assessed the impact of the toltrazuril derivative N-(4-(4-Fluorophenoxy)-3-methylphenyl) acetamide on natural cytotoxic cell (NCC) activity of olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus spleen. Five groups of fifteen olive flounder, comprising non-treatment and vehicle control groups, were randomly assigned. N-(4-(4-Fluorophenoxy)-3-methylphenyl) acetamide was injected intramuscularly at doses of 120, 150 and 200 mg/kg body weight; a total of ten injections were given over the course of 30 days. The NK activity of flounder splenic cells was evaluated against YAC-1, mouse lymphoma cells or HINAE cells with a choice of co-cultivation times of 4 or 18 hrs. In case of YAC-1 co-culture we observed a significant increase in cytotoxicity at a dose of 200 mg/kg, up to 3.06 times more than that of the control group. Only the trial with the 4 hrs co-culture produced a significant difference in the HINAE cell experiment; the experimental group at the 200 mg/kg dose exhibited the maximum cytotoxicity, demonstrating 2.3 times more cytotoxicity than the control group. Furthermore, the expression level of IL-12b was markedly induced in the group with 200 mg/kg, which was 6.62 times greater than that of the control group. In terms of the altered NK cell activity, the repeated high doses of N-(4-(4-Fluorophenoxy)-3-methylphenyl) acetamide can cause changes in the normal performance of immune function.

  • In this paper, real-time image scanning system using linescan cameras is designed. The system is specially designed to diagnose and analyse the conditions of tunnels such as crack widths through the captured images. The system consists of two major parts, the image acquisition system and the image merging system. To save scanned image data into storage media in real-time, the image acquisition system has been designed with two different control and management modules. The control modules are in charge of controlling the hardware device and the management modules handle system resources so that the scanned images are safely saved to the magnetic storage devices. The system can be mounted to various kinds of vehicles. After taking images, the image merging system generates extended images by combining saved images. Several tests are conducted in laboratory as well as in the field. In the laboratory simulation, both systems are tested several times and upgraded. In the field-testing, the image acquisition system is mounted to a specially designed vehicle and images of the interior surface of the tunnel are captured. The system is successfully tested in a real tunnel with a vehicle at the speed of 20 km/h. The captured images of the tunnel condition including cracks are vivid enough for an expert to diagnose the state of the tunnel using images instead of seeing through his/her eyes.

  • As an Accident data recorder (ADR) is a system to record a vehicle's status and dynamics information on the before and after of accident, Traffic accident investigation agencies and parts developers have a lot of interest to analyze an accident objectively and develop automotive safety devices by using real accident data, This study is to analyze an accident objectively and scientifically on the basis of traffic accident reconstruction with the use of output data of an event data recorder. This study is conducted double lane change test six times and slalom test one time as a field driving test and simulation. Based on the vehicle speed, the longitudinal and transverse acceleration, steering angle, driving path, and other kinds of information obtained from the field driving test, this study performed a simulation with PC-Crash program of reenacting and analyzing a traffic accident. The simulation was performed twice in the acceleration-steering angle input method and in the acceleration-driving path input method. By comparing the result of the field driving test with the results of the two simulations, we drew an analysis method with the optimal path reconstruction.

  • To use the Global Positioning System (GPS) carrier phase measurement for precise positioning, the integer ambiguities at the early stage of most algorithms must be determined. Furthermore, if a precise positioning is to be applied to real time navigation, fast determination and validation methods for integer ambiguity are essential. In this paper, the Wald test that simultaneously determines and validates integer ambiguities is used with assistance of the Inertial Navigation System (INS) to improve its performance. As the Wald test proceeds, it assigns a higher probability to the candidate that is considered to be true at each time step. The INS information is added during the Wald test process. Large performance improvements were achieved in convergence time as well as in requiring fewer observable GPS satellites. To test the performance improvement of the Wald test with the INS information, experimental tests were conducted using a ground vehicle. The vehicle moved in a prescribed trajectory and observed seven GPS satellites. To verify the effect of the INS information on the Wald test, the convergence times were compared with cases that considered the INS information and cases that did not consider the INS information. The results show that the benefits of using the INS were emphasized as fewer GPS satellites were observable. The performance improvement obtained by the proposed algorithm was shown through the fast convergence to the true hypothesis when using the INS measurements.

  • Purpose: The number of registered vehicles in Korea continues to increase. As traffic volume increases gradually due to improved quality of life, the severity of accidents is expected to increase and congestion problems are also expected. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the accident factors of pointed traffic accidents and non-pointed traffic accidents. Method: The severity of the apical and non-pointed traffic accidents in Incheon Metropolitan City is analyzed by dividing them into apical and non-pointed traffic accidents to investigate the factors affecting the accident. XGBoost machine learning techniques were applied to analyze the severity of pointed and non-pointed traffic accidents and visualized as plot through the results. Result: It was analyzed that during non-peak hours, such as the case of the victim's vehicle type at peak times, the victim's vehicle type and construction machinery are variables that increase the severity of the accident. Conclusion: It is meaningful to derive the seriousness factors of apical and non-pointed accidents, and it is hoped that it will be used to reduce congestion costs by reducing the seriousness of accidents in the case of apical and non-pointed in the future.

  • A levitation rail is placed on the top of track structure to operate Maglev vehicles and a part of track that link up with a sleeper is applied repeated load in Maglev vehicles operation. This paper aimed to verify validity of design for levitation rail, through the fatigue analysis about load which is applied to levitation rail in Maglev vehicles operation and impact load occurring in an emergency landing. Load conditions applied design load(23kN/m) in normal operation and skid drop load(24kN/m) in vehicle drop. And boundary conditions are consider bolt fixing and welding. Through static analysis, weak point and maximum stress of levitation rail could be obtained. S-N(stress-life) method was used in oder to predict fatigue life, and Goodman relationship was applied to consider a effect of mean stress. Also damage was calculated by using Miner's. As a result of fatigue analysis, levitation rail had a fatigue life which was more than requirement ($10^6$cycle) in all analysis conditions. Assumption that $10^8{\sim}10^9$cycles is infinite life, all analysis conditions had infinite life except a case under drop load and bolt fixing($1.21{\times}10^6$).

  • The purpose of this study is to present the source contribution of the fine particles ($PM_{2.5}$) in Chungju area using the CMB (chemical mass balance) method throughout the four seasons in Korea. The Chungju's annual average level of $PM_{2.5}$ was $48.2{\mu}g/m^3$, which exceeded two times higher than standard air quality. Among these particles, the soluble ionic compounds represent 54.2% of fine particle mass. Additionally, the OC concentration in Chungju stayed similar to other domestic cities, while the EC concentration decreased significantly compared to other domestic/international cities. The concentration of sulfur represented the highest composition (8%) among the fine particle compounds. According to the CMB results, the general trend of the $PM_{2.5}$ mass contributors was the following: secondary aerosols (50.5%: ammonium sulfate 26.5% and ammonium nitrate 24.0%) > gasoline vehicle (18.3%) > biomass burning (11.0%) > industrial boiler (6.0%) > diesel vehicles (4.4%). The contribution of the secondary aerosols was the main cause than others. This impact is assumed to be emitted from air pollutants of urban cities or neighbor countries such as China.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the pattern and the meaning of textiles, and decorative techniques of ikat weaving and dyeing in Indonesia. The textile design also analyzes by examining the method of ikat techniques such as warp ikat, weft ikat and double ikat, and by classifying the style of regions. The most common motifs are geometric designs of spirals, meanders, straight lines, triangles, and circles which are influenced by outside world. Although these motifs or symbols have been evident since prehistoric times, their design and meaning have been continually reinterpreted as changes in the ceremonies and rituals. While motifs such as reptiles, birds, and human figures, depicted in spiral, hooked and rhomb configurations, have been identified among the most resilient features of Indonesian textile design, new meanings have been added to these ancient forms, and designs have been transformed and reinterpreted to suit local conceptions. Since textiles are a visual expression of Indcufsian life, textiles place the individual symbolically within social milieu, identifying rank, family, locality and religious affiliations. Textiles represent a link between the human and the spiritual realm, and a vehicle for the display of sacred and secular potency Ikat textiles play to embody special transforming powers and sacred mediating qualities, providing protection and evoking life-enriching forces for individuals or social group.

  • For connector material applications, the influence alloying elements of Mn, Cr, Fe, and Ti and cold rolling reduction on the mechanical property, electrical conductivity and bendiability of Cu-Ni-Si-P alloy was investigated. The hot rolled plates were solution treated at $980^{\circ}C$ for 1.5 h, quenched into water, cold rolled by 10% and 30% reduction in thickness, and then aged at $440{\sim}500^{\circ}C$ for 3, 4, 5 times. respectively. Cu-Ni-Si-P-x alloys cold rolled by 10 reduction before heat treatment have a good bendability compare to cold rolled by 30 reduction. Cu-3.4Ni-0.8Si-0.03P-0.1Ti shows the peak strength value of 759 MPa, an electrical conductivity of 39%IACS, an elongation of 10% and a hardness of 256 Hv aged at $440^{\circ}C$ for 6 hrs. Thus it is suitable for lead frame and connector.

  • The Bell King Songdok the Great tolls magnificient sound that would be a great vehicle which brings all beings to the Sutras. Since 693, there was a magic flute, MANPASIKJUK, which was in existence in Shilla Dynasty that could lull all the evil-wawes, such an plaques, storms, Droughts, Famines and even Enemies. Thus, a sound tube, MANPASIKJUK, was erected in the crown of the Bell Songdok the Great so as to be effective to emit the nominal frequency tone whenever the Bell tolls for the national prosperity and welfare the People. Therefore, the Bell makers tried to fine the transmissibility condition through the sound tubr, several times during 34 years, However, it seems to be unfinished. Ever since, all of the korean Brahman Bell have the sound tubes of MANPASIKJUK, but none is performed their own functions. Here, one of the way to let the function of the sound tube of MANPASIKJUK out in the Bell Songdok the Great is proposed. There are two steps: the 1st is to elongate 18cm to the present length 77cm to fulfill the transmissibility condition for the nominal frequency of sound is emitted through the corrected sound tybe. 2nd step is to rise to 95% of the emission of the tone of nominal frequency, so that an exponential hem with the flare constant 2.8m-1, length 2.259m and the radius of the mouth 1.772m is to be extended to the corrected sound tube.
