  • 여러 금속 전구체가 함유된 금속염 용액에 광조사가 이루어지면 광환원에 의해 금속 나노입자 형성이 가능하다. 고에너지의 감마선($\gamma$-ray) 조사를 통해 단일 나노선과 평판 기판상에 Pt 나노입자를 형성시켰으며, Pt 금속염 용액과 감마선 조사 조건에 따른 Pt 나노입자의 크기와 형성 거동을 조사하였다.

Thermal Expansion and Contraction Characteristics of Continuous Casting Carbon Steels (연속주조용 탄소강에서 상변화에 따른 열팽창 및 수축 거동)

  • The air gap between the metal and mold, formed by shrinkage during solidification, causes surface and subsurface cracks in the continuous casting process. Molten crack on the surface might also occur due to improper heat transfer between them. In order to compensate the air gap in mold design, the thermal contraction is an essential factor. In this study, the thermal contraction and expansion behaviors were examined from the ($\alpha$ and pearlite)/${\gamma}$ to ${\gamma}$/$\delta$ transformations in continuous casting steels by the commercial dilatometer and the self- assembled dilatometer with laser distance measurement. It was found that the thermal contraction and expansion behaviors were very dependant on the phase transformation of the ${\gamma}$/$\delta$ as well as ($\alpha$ and pearlite)/${\gamma}$. The sudden volume change from $\delta$ to ${\gamma}$ which might cause cracks in the continuous casting process, was observed on cooling just below the melting temperature by the self-assembled dilatometer.

Half lives of Gaseous Organochlorine Pesticides in Atmosphere (대기 중에서 가스상 유기염소계 살충제의 반감기)

  • Gaseous organochlorine pesticides (OCPs : heptachlor epoxide, p, p'-DDE, ${\gamma}-HCH,\;{\alpha}-chlordane,\;{\gamma}-chlordane$ and trans-nonachlor) concentration was measured using PUF high volume sampler from June, 2000 to June, 2002 in the semi-rural atmosphere. The OCPs concentration in atmosphere, which is estimated by the slope (m) of Clausius-Clapeyron equation and phase-transition energy $({\Delta}H)$, was influenced by revolatilization from environmental matrix (soil, water and tree leaves) and a long range transportation of air mass. But the former affected OCPs concentration more than the latter. The degradation rate constants (k) of OCPs calculated using multiple regression analysis and revised standard temperature method were in good agreement each other. The value of k of ${\gamma}-HCH$ was very low as -0.0007, but the range of k of other components were $-0.00l8{\sim}-0.0038$. The half-life $({\tau})$ which was calculated by k of ${\gamma}-HCH$ was 2.6 years-the longest one, but that of heptachlor epoxide was in 0.5 year-the shortest one. $({\tau})\;of\;{\alpha}-chlordane,\;{\gamma}-chlordane$ and trans-nonachlor in technical chlordane was 1.0, 1.1 and 0.7 year respectively.

A Study on the Thermal Stability of Duplex High Mn-Steel Structure (고 망간강 2상 혼합조직의 열적 안정성에 관한 연구)

  • The thermal stability of duplex high Mn-steel structure have been investigated using 15%Mn~1.0~2.4%C steels which are composed of ${\gamma}$-and ${\theta}$-phases in the range of temperature from 900 to $1100^{\circ}C$, and time from 50 to 300h. The results are as follows ; 1) The grain growth in single-phase region proceeds by grain boundary migration and the relation between mean radius $\bar{r}$ and annealing time t is described as follows ; $\bar{r}^2-{\bar{r}_0}^2=k_0{\cdot}t$ 2) The grain growth of duplex, (${\gamma}+{\theta}$), strucrure is slower than that single phase because the chemical composition of ${\gamma}$-and ${\theta}$-phases differs esch others. 3) The grain of (${\gamma}+{\theta}$) duplex structure grow slowly in a mode of Ostwald ripening. Because grain boundaries of ${\gamma}$-phase migrate under a restriction of pinning by ${\theta}$-phases. 4) In the duplex structures. the dispersed structures change to the dual-structures, as the volume fraction of the dispersed second-phase increase. Consequently, the growth-law, which is controlled by boundary-diffusion change to that of the volume diffusion-mechanism.

Study on Decomposition of Several Pesticides by Gamma-Irradiation (감마선 조사에 의한 농약 성분의 분해 연구)

  • The decomposition of 50 pesticides present in an aqueous solution using ${\gamma}-irradiation$ from a $^{60}Co$ gamma-ray source was investigated using laboratory-scale experiment. The rates of decomposition were determined using a gas chromatography-electron capture detector (GC-ECD), high-performance liquid chromatography-photo diode array detector (HPLC-PDA), and HPLC-fluorescence detector (FLD). When the initial concentration of pesticides was 10 ppm, and the radiation dose was 2, 5, 10, 20, and 30 kGy, respectively, 14 pesticide samples showed high removal rates (>50%) at absorbed doses of more than 10 kGy. With the exception of procymidone, they were all completely removed at a 30 kGy irradiation dose. These results provide fundamental data on the reactivity between gamma-irradiation and pesticides in an aqueous solution. Further, an evaluation of the toxicity of radiolytic intermediate products is required.

The Flow-rate Measurements in a Multi-phase Flow Pipeline by Using a Clamp-on Sealed Radioisotope Cross Correlation Flowmeter (투과 감마선 계측신호의 Cross correlation 기법 적용에 의한 다중상 유체의 유량측정)

  • The flow rate measurements in a multi-phase flow pipeline were evaluated quantitatively by means of a clamp-on sealed radioisotope based on a cross correlation signal processing technique. The flow rates were calculated by a determination of the transit time between two sealed gamma sources by using a cross correlation function following FFT filtering, then corrected with vapor fraction in the pipeline which was measured by the ${\gamma}$-ray attenuation method. The pipeline model was manufactured by acrylic resin(ID. 8 cm, L=3.5 m, t=10 mm), and the multi-phase flow patterns were realized by an injection of compressed $N_2$ gas. Two sealed gamma sources of $^{137}Cs$ (E=0.662 MeV, ${\Gamma}$ $factor=0.326\;R{\cdot}h^{-1}{\cdot}m^2{\cdot}Ci^{-1}$) of 20 mCi and 17 mCi, and radiation detectors of $2"{\times}2"$ NaI(Tl) scintillation counter (Eberline, SP-3) were used for this study. Under the given conditions(the distance between two sources: 4D(D; inner diameter), N/S ratio: $0.12{\sim}0.15$, sampling time ${\Delta}t$: 4msec), the measured flow rates showed the maximum. relative error of 1.7 % when compared to the real ones through the vapor content corrections($6.1\;%{\sim}9.2\;%$). From a subsequent experiment, it was proven that the closer the distance between the two sealed sources is, the more precise the measured flow rates are. Provided additional studies related to the selection of radioisotopes their activity, and an optimization of the experimental geometry are carried out, it is anticipated that a radioisotope application for flow rate measurements can be used as an important tool for monitoring multi-phase facilities belonging to petrochemical and refinery industries and contributes economically in the light of maintenance and control of them.

Electrical ppropperties of the In-situ Grown (Pb,La)$TiO_3$ Films on the Pt/MgO(100) (Pt/MgO(100) 기판상에 In-situ 성장된 (Pb,La)$TiO_3$ 박막의 전기적 특성)

  • 적외선 센서의 재료로 활용되고 있는 ppLT 박막(두께:8000~9000$\AA$)을 ppt/MgO(100)의 하부 구조상에 50$0^{\circ}C$$600^{\circ}C$에서 스퍼터링 증착하여 결정성 및 전기적 특성을 조사하였다. $600^{\circ}C$로 in-situ 성장된 ppLT 박막은 c-축(00l) 방향으로 배향 성장되었 고, 비유전상수(r)와 유전정접(tan)의 값이 10kHz~100kHz의 주파수에서 $\varepsilon$r≒35와 tan$\delta$≒ 0.01로 나타났다. 잔류분극량(2ppr)과 초전계수(${\gamma}$)는 상온부근에서 2ppr≒5$\mu$C/cm2, ${\gamma}$≒4$\times$ 10-8C/cm2.$^{\circ}C$로 비교적 양호한 초전박막의 전기적 특성을 나타내었다.

  • LiF(Mg,Cu,Na,Si) 형광체의 ${\gamma}$선과 $\beta$선에 대한 TSEE 특성을 조사하였다. 상(60)Co ${\gamma}$선에 대한 감도는 약 450 counts/mR이었고, 여러 가지 $\beta$선에 대한 TSEE 에너지 의존성은 $\beta$입자의 평균에너지 0.02MeV에서 0.8MeV 사이에서 $\pm$10%이었다. 그리고 제작된 형광체 앞면에 7mg.cm 상(-2)의 인체 등가물질을 두 면 입사 $\beta$입자의 에너지에 무관하게 피부 흡수 선량을 측정할 수 있었다.

Effects of HyangsosanGamibang on the $PPAR{\gamma}$ in the bronchial asthma mouse model (천식 백서(喘息 白鼠)에서 향소산가미방(香蘇散加味方)의 $PPAR{\gamma}$에 대한 효과)

  • 목적 : OVA에 유도된 천식 쥐 모델에 향소산가미방을 투여한 후 $PPAR{\gamma}$의 변화를 조사하여 향소산가미방의 천식 치료 기전을 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 8주된 암컷 BALB/c 마우스에 첫 날과 14일 후에 20 ${\mu}g$의 OVA를 알루미니윰 하이드록사이드 1mg과 혼합한 후 총 200 ${\mu}g$를 복강 내로 주입하여 감작시켰다. 처음 감작시킨 날로부터 21,22,23일 후에 천식 모델에 사용하는 초음파 분무기를 이용하여 세 번째 감작시켜서 천식 마우스 모델을 만들었다. 천식 마우스 모델을 만드는 기간 중 OVA를 복강 내로 주입한 후 19일째에 24시간의 간격으로 향소산가미방을 7일 동안 경구 투여하여 향소산가미방의 효과를 조사하였다. 기관지폐포세척술은 마지막 감작 후 72시간 후에 실행하고 기관지폐포 세척액의 총 세포수를 측정하였다. $PPAR{\gamma}$의 발현은 천식 마우스 모델의 폐와 향소산가미방을 투여한 마우스 모델의 폐를 적출한 후 Western blotting 방법을 아용하여 측정하였다. 병리 조직학적 검사는 hematoxylin 2 and eosin-Y 염색을 이용하여 조사하였다. 결과 : 정상 군과 비교하여 OVA감작 천식 쥐 모델에서는 72시간 후에 총 세포 수가 증가하였다. 특히 OVA감작 천식 군에서 증가된 호산구의 수가 향소산가미방을 투여 한 쥐 군에서는 유의하게 감소하였다. OVA감작 천식 쥐 모델에서 72시간 후에 정상 군과 비교하여 핵 내에서의 $PPAR{\gamma}$단백질의 발현이 약간 증가하였다. 그러나 향소산가미방을 투여한 쥐 모델에서는 세포질과 핵 내에서 $PPAR{\gamma}$단백질의 발현이 유의하게 증가하였다. 조직학적 검사상 정상 군과 비교하여 OVA 감작된 천식 쥐 모델에서는 폐포, 세기관지, 기도내강 주변에 많은 염증 세포들이 있었다. 그러나 가미향소산 을 투여 한 후에는 염증 세포들이 유의하게 감소하였다. 결론 : 가미향소산은 $PPAR{\gamma}$작용제로서 역할을 하며, 천식에 대한 치료제 또는 예방제를 개발하는 데 후보 물질이 될 것으로 사료된다.
