Exploring How to Apply Curriculum-Type Capstone Design based on Design Thinking in the Digital Healthcare Field (디지털 헬스케어 분야 디자인씽킹 기반 교과형 캡스톤디자인 적용 방안 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a capstone design program by applying a design thinking methodology to the digital healthcare field to cultivate creative convergence talents with complex and practical skills and understanding of new technologies required in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. To this end, we analyzed the literature and previous studies in the field of digital healthcare and capstone design and proposed a capstone design model and application plan in the field of digital healthcare. The effectiveness was confirmed through expert review, and the effectiveness was analyzed by pilot application of the capstone design program. This is meaningful in that it can be used as an operation guide that can be used step-by-step when applying the capstone design in the digital healthcare field.

  • In this paper, a new field weakening algorithm which maximizes the output torque not only in steady state b but also in transient state is proposed. Considering both voltage and current limit of system, analytic solutions f for optimal torque utilization in field weakening region I and region II are obtained. This algorithm finds optimal currents considering dynamic vol떠ge limit based on flux and speed. So the maximum usage of stator v voltage even in transient state results in the maximum torque and fast response time. Simulation and e experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed field weakening scheme.

  • This paper presents the water treatment system with high performance electromagnetic field for a good quality of water. The electromagnetic field water treater consists of a solion, a solion body, and a high voltage converter. The high voltage converter is controlled by PWM current controller. The high voltage converter of 13W is designed for an isolation operation amp, an isolation current detector, and an over current protector. Using the high voltage PWM converter, the system with the proposed electromagnetic field water treater can be controlled easily. Simulation and experimental results show the effectiveness of the system strategy proposed for the scale rejection.

  • In this paper, a new two dimensional (2D) analytical model of a Dual Material Gate tunnel field effect transistor (DMG TFET) is presented. The parabolic approximation technique is used to solve the 2-D Poisson equation with suitable boundary conditions. The simple and accurate analytical expressions for surface potential and electric field are derived. The electric field distribution can be used to calculate the tunneling generation rate and numerically extract tunneling current. The results show a significant improvement of on-current and reduction in short channel effects. Effectiveness of the proposed method has been confirmed by comparing the analytical results with the TCAD simulation results.

  • This paper deals with parameter tuning of the Power System Stabilizer (PSS) for 612 MVA thermal power plants in the KEPCO system and its validation in a field test. In this paper, the selection of parameters, such as lead-lag time constants for phase compensation and system gain, is optimized using linear and eigenvalue analyses. This is then verified through the time-domain transient stability analysis. In the next step, the performance of PSS is finally verified by the generator's on-line field test. After the field test, measured and simulated data are also compared to prove the effectiveness of the models used in the simulations.

  • Device Description that is described as C-based DDL(Device Description Language) should be provided for the control system to use the progressive function of field device in the distributed control system. DD expresses field device function itself and parameter. DD is used to set a necessary function far a control strategy in the central control system. DD technology which was adopted as international standard IEC 61804-Part 2 is being used in PROFIBUS, Foundation Fieldbus and HART. However, the DD is dependent to the fieldbus and it doesn't have a suitable form in the industrial Ethernet. This paper presents the possibility of a change from EDD(Electronic Device Description) and GSD(General Slave Data) used for integrating field devices to XDD(XML for Device Description) and verifies it's effectiveness. Also, this paper presents research assignment on the XML application in the distributional system from now on by examining the possibility of Ethernet`s development in the industrial area.

  • The purpose of industry-education cooperation field training is improving students' abilities & skills by working at industrial companies and experiencing how to apply their school knowledge to a real work for some period of time. The followings are recommendable ways of industry-education cooperation field training management to improve the students' adaptability of industrial companies with the most effectiveness (1) Prior to everything, setting the industry-education cooperation field training program to have extreme efficient and managing it with exhaustiveness & intensiveness is necessary. (2) Before sending students to industrial companies for education, the committee must make an inspection of industrial companies to decide whether they have the fine educational value. (3) To assign eve student to proper industrial companies, school authorities must survey the aptitude, desire and ability of each students and peculiarities of each industrial companies. (4) Figure out a way to increase the students' adaptability with a highest degree. (5) To help the employment of students who finished the industry-education cooperation field training with on admirable record, the committee must discuss that matter with industrial companies & students.

  • This paper presents an adaptive reclosing scheme to improve the reliability in power distribution systems. For an originated faults, this scheme can determine the number of reclosing attempts, so that minimizes the affect of electric facility and customers' load. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. numerical simulation which calculates a various indices to consider the reliability and the effect of electric facility, is carried out with actual field data. Results show that the proposed scheme can be applicable to field operation.

  • This paper investigates the applicability of the modified Lanczos method using the power technique, which was developed in the field of quantum physics, to the eigenproblem in the field of engineering mechanics by introducing matrix-powered Lanczos recursion and numerically evaluating the suitable power value. The matrix-powered Lanczos method has better convergence and less operation count than the conventional Lanczos method. By analyzing four numerical examples, the effectiveness of the matrix-powered Lanczos method is verified and the appropriate matrix power is also recommended.

  • In this paper, we propose a space partitioning technique for swarm robots by using the Centroidal Voronoi Tessellation. The proposed method consists of two parts such as space partition and collision avoidance. The space partition for searching a given space is carried out by a density function which is generated by some accidents. The collision avoidance is implemented by the potential field method. Finally, the numerical experiments show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
