한국 근대수학교육의 아버지 이상설(李相卨)이 쓴 19세기 근대화학 강의록 『화학계몽초(化學啓蒙抄)』 (19th Century Chemistry Book of Korean Mathematician Sang-Seol LEE)

  • 본 원고는 한국 근대 수학교육의 아버지 이상설(李相卨, 1870-1917)이 자연과학-화학-에 기여한 내용을 다루고 있다. 이상설은 "수리(數理)"를 쓴 시기를 전후하여, 같은 시기에 붓으로 총 46쪽에 달하는 "화학계몽초(化學啓蒙抄)"를 필사하였다. 분석해 본 결과 그 원전은 영국인 H. E. Roscoe(羅斯科, 1833-1915)가 1876년 발간한 Science Primers: Chemistry를 영국인 선교사 Joseph Edkins(艾約瑟, 1823-1905)가 번역하여 1886년에 간행한 "화학계몽(化學啓蒙)"으로 "서학계몽(西學啓蒙)" 16종 가운데 하나이다.

  • Lee, Sang-Hyuk(1810-\ulcorner) explained application problems which can be represented as the equation of degree 1 or 2 in the chapter of 'Myun-Lyu' of his book 'Cha-Geun-Bang-Mong-Gu.' Mainly he dealt with the various questions which looks for the length of right triangle and square. After they are expressed in the equation, all of them has terms on both side of equality sign and they have solution as integer. The explanation of each question describes the procedure to make the equation in detail, but only presents the solution with few step to solve.

  • Lee, Sang-Hyuk(1810-\ulcorner) said that Cha-Geun-Bang means algebra come from the West. In the chapter 'Che-Lyu' of the second volume of his book Cha-Geun-Bang-Mong-Gu, he gave the list of questions which could be expressed by the equation of one variable and explained the solution for them. All questions were formulated by equations of degree 2, 3, 4 which have terms on both sides of equal sign and they mostly have natural number solutions. The explanation of each question describes the procedure to make the equation in detail, but only presents the solution with few step to solve.

  • 이 논문은 홍길주(洪吉周)$(1786{\sim}1841)$의 기하신설(幾何新說)에 들어 있는 대수학 분야를 조사하여 홍길주(洪吉周)의 대수학을 구조적으로 분석한다. 쌍추억산(雙推臆算)은 수리정온(數理精蘊)의 첩차호징(疊借互徵)으로 이에 대한 문제를 추가한 것이고, 개방몽구(開方蒙求)에서 완전제곱수부터 완전다섯제곱수를 급수로 나타내는 등식(等式)을 얻어내었다. 잡쇄수초에서, 정수환(整數環) Z의 상환(商環) Z/(9)를 도입하여 합동방정식을 해결하고, 마지막으로 황금비(黃金比)의 성질을 기하적으로 규명하였다.

  • 1) The color of JOGORI and CHIMA was such gorgeous and those garments were put on during the events of GAM-EUNG-CHUNG-BAI HO-GU-GEO-RI JO-SANG-GEO-RI DEWT-JUN and CHAN-BOO-GEO-RI. 2)BULSA-JANG-SAM(JE-SUK-GEO-RI) was white colored and had wide sleeves putting on a pink priestrobe and a pink belt on it 3) they put on HONG-CHUL-NIK(GU-REUNG) and CHONG-CHUL-NIK(DAE-GEO-RI). 4)They put on GOO-GUN-BOK(JUN-RIP JUN-BOK(BYUL-SUNG-GEO-RI) DONG-DA-RI(Expel the demon) 5) MONG-DOO-RI(MAN-SIN-MAL-BYUNG) put on the garment constructed with the color and from of a white straight collar a wide sleeve and a pink belt 6) A long robe was colored with green (GAM-EUNG-CHUNG-BAI) and was used not as a headdress but as a man's overcoat. 7) CHANG-EUI was a green colored small CHAHG-EUI(SUNG-JO-GEO-RI). As observed above the Shaman apprel during Chosun Dynasty is a part of the traditional clothing originated from THE THEORY OF THE COSMIC DUAL FORCES and THEORY OF THE COSMIC DUAL FORCES and the FIVE ELEMENTS (i.e. metal wood water fire and earth) It's basic form and wearing method were not so different from the traditional clothing silmilar to the official uniform during Chosun Dynasty and the official uniform was the symbol of authority(almost almighty) at that time of period and to that the Shaman apparel was constructed with the more gorgeous colors to emphasize the sanctity or the descent of the Divine Being from heaven. We realized that a Shaman had put on the symbolic garment suitable for the grade and nature of the Divine Body at every events to enter into " The World of Gods"Gods."

  • 굴착 중 slurry로 지대되고 있는 상태에서 지하수와 상재하중의 영향을 고려한 diaphragm wall 의 안정도를 해석하기 위하여 Belt Piaskowski/kowalewski, Washbourne의 모델을 확장하고, 확장된 이론으로 프로그램 SL3D를 개발하였다. Washbourne의 모델에서는 Bell, Piaskowski / Kowalewski의 모델에 비해, 굴착깊이가 증가함에 따라 안정도가 매우 큰 폭으로 증가하고, 비교적 초기굴착단계에서 부터 안전측에 속한다. 또한 slurry의 밀도, 지하수위, 흙의 내부마찰각, trench의 길이,상재단위하중등이 안정도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였고, 이것을 근거로 nomogram을 작성하였다.

출산 풍속에서 모-조모의 세대간 차이 연구 (Generational Differences in Korean Baby-Delivery Culture between Young Mother and Grandmother Generations)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in traditional baby-delivery practices between young mother and grandmother generations. The subjects were 118 young mothers and 118 their own mothers or mothers-in-law in Tae Gu district. Young mothers had the first baby aged from 2-to 2.5-year-old. The subjects answered the questionnaires on Korean traditional baby-delivery practices developed by the researchers based on literature reviews. The data were analyzed using Frequencies, Percentages, Crosstabs, and t-test. The results of this study were as follows: 1. More grandmothers believed in supernatural being who influenced pregnancy and used to be called as 'grandma Sam Shin', expected to have son, and had charms then young mothers. But less grandmothers had sexual intercourse at the time of ovulation, took physical care, and practiced fetal education than young mothers 2. On the other hand, no generation differences were found in dreaming of foretelling conception(Te Mong), eating a restroative and food to get pregnancy, and washing own's hair or body and avoiding attending a funeral near the time of baby-delivery. 3. Most of young mothers gave birth in hospital with the doctor's heap, whereas most of grandmothers did at their home with the help of the experienced old women. Most of young mothers'husbands were at the waiting room in the hospital, but about half of grandmothers'husbands were at work when their wives grove birth.

  • 1970년대 이후 산업화시대가 퇴조함에 따라 선진공업국의 경제가 크게 변하였다. 국가경제의 중심적 역할을 하던 대규모 공업도시의 경제가 몰락하여 대량실업과 도시경관의 파괴 등이 심각한 사회문제로 부각되었다. 이러한 상황에 대비하여 리차드 플로리다, 찰스 랜드리 등은 창조성에 기초한 경제구조의 전환을 주장하였고, 영국, 미국, 프랑스 등 세계 여러 나라들은 그러한 주장을 수용하여 창조도시쟁책을 추진하였다. 필자들은 영국, 프랑스, 호주, 일본, 한국 등이 조성하고자 한 대표적 창조도시에 관한 정책 추진과정과 체계, 성과 등을 국가별로 분석하고 정책적, 이론적 시사점을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 각기 추진한 그러한 국가별 사례연구를 종합하여 비교 분석하고, 정리한 것이다.

한성시대(漢城時代)의 백제(百濟)와 마한(馬韓) (Hanseong Period of Baekje and Mahan)

  • The history of Baekje Kingdom, one of the Three kingdoms, is divided into three periods to the change of sociopolitical center, including its capital as follows: Hanseong Period (18 BC ~ AD 475), Ungjin Period (AD 475~538), and Sabi Period (AD 538~660). Though the Hanseong Period of Baekje Kingdom covers more than two thirds of the whole history of Baekje Kingdom (493 years), history and archaeological culture of the Hanseong Period is still unclear and even ambiguous comparing to the Ungjin and Sabi periods. Most of all, it is because of quite limited historical records and archaeological data available. In addition, negative attitude of the Korean academic circles to the early records of Samguksaki(三國史記) has been a critical obstacle to the study of early history of the Three kingdoms, including the Hanseong Period of Baekje kingdom. Author, who has attempted to combine historical records and archaeological data in order to reconstruct the history and archaeological culture of the early Baekje, specifically the Hanseong Period, has held positive attitude to the early records of the Samguksaki as far as possible. He(Author) came to realize that comprehensive understanding of Mahan (馬韓) society, one of the Three Han (三韓) Society was more than essential in the study of Baekje. According to historical records and archaeological data, Mahan Society represented by Mojiguk(目支國) ruled by King Jin(辰王) has been located in the middle and/or southwestern parts of the Korean peninsula from the 3rd~2nd century BC through the end of the 5th century or early 6th century AD. Mahan already occupied central portion of the Korean Peninsula, including the Han River Valley when King Onjo(溫祖王) first set up the capital of Baekje Kingdom at Wiryeseong (慰 禮城) considered to be modern Jungrang~Songpa-gu area of Han River Valley. From the beginning of the Baekje history, there had been quite close interrelationships between Baekje and Mahan, and the interrelationships had lasted for around 500 years. In other words, it is impossible to attempt to understand and study Hanseong period of Baekje, without considering the historical and archaeological identity of Mahan. According to the Samguksaki, Baekje moved its capital three times during the Hanseong Period (18 BC ~ AD 475) within the Han River Valley as follows: Wiryeseong at Jungrang-gu area of the Han River (河北慰禮城, 18 ~ 5 BC), Wiryeseong at Songpa-gu area of the Han River(河南慰禮城, 5 BC ~ AD 371), Hansan at Iseongsan fortress site(Historical site No. 422, 漢山, AD 371~391), and Hanseong at Chungung-dong of Hanam city(漢城, AD 391~475). Before 1990s, archaeological data of the Hanseong Period was quite limited, and archaeological culture of Mahan was not well defined. Only a few burial and fortress sites were reported to be archaeological remains of the early Baekje, and a few settlement and jar burial sites were assumed to be those of Mahan without clear definition of the Mahan Culture. Since 1990s, fortunately, a number of new archaeological sites of Hanseong Baekje and Mahan have been reported and investigated. Thanks to the new discoveries, there has been significant progress in the study of early Baekje and Mahan. In particular, a number of excavations of Pungnap-dong Fortress site(Historical site NO. 11, 1996~2003), considered to be the Wiryeseong at south of the Han River, the second capital of the Hanseong Baekje, provided critical archaeological evidence in the study of Hanseong Period of Baekje. Since the end of the 1990s, a number of sites have been reported in Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Jeolla provinces, as well. From these sites, archaeological features and artifacts representing distinctive cultural tradition of Mahan have been identified such as unstamped fortresses, pit houses cut into the rock, houses with lifted floor(掘立柱 건물), and potteries decorated with toothed wheel and bird's footprint designs. These cultural traditions reflected in the archaeological remains played a critical role to define and understand archaeological identity of the Mahan society. Moreover, archaeological data from these new sites reported in the middle and southwestern parts of the Korean Peninsular made it possible to postulate a hypothesis that the history of Mahan could be divided into three periods to the change of its sociopolitical center in relation with the Baekje Kingdom's political Situation as follows: Cheonan (天安) Period, Iksan(益山) Period, and Naju(羅州) Period. The change of Mahan's sociopolitical center is closely related to the sociopolitical expansion of the Hanseong Baekje.

유희춘이 판각을 주도한 서적에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Books Engraved under the Auspices of Yu Heui-Chun)

  • 본고는 조선조 중기의 관료이며 학자인 미암 유희춘의 일기를 통해 당시 서적 간행의 양상을 살펴보고자 하였다. 미암 유희춘은 만년에 관직생활을 하면서 일기를 남겼으니 이 $\boxDr$미암일기$\boxUl$에 일상의 일이 매우 자세하게 기록되어 있다. 이를 통하여 당시의 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화, 서적, 가정사까지도 알 수 있다. 본고는 이 일기를 통해 미암의 서적과 관련된 여러 일 가운데 미암이 주도적으로 간행하려고 노력한 서적을 밝혔다. 아울러 당시에 편성된 책판목록에 수록되었는지의 여부도 확인하였다. 미암이 개인적으로 간행하고자 한 서적은 2종류로 나눌 수 있다. 하나는 외조부 금남 최부의 문집인 $\boxDr$금남집$\boxUl$과 중국기행문인 $\boxDr$표해록$\boxUl$이다. 다른 하나는 아동용 도서로 문해용의 $\boxDr$신증류합$\boxUl$과 도덕교육용의 $\boxDr$속몽구$\boxUl$이다. 이들 서적을 인출하기 위해 판각한 당시의 책판은 당대의 책판목록에 수록되어 있어야한다. 그러나 거의 대부분 누락되어 있다. $\boxDr$미암일기$\boxUl$를 통해 책판목록에 누락된 서적을 보완할 수 있으므로 $\boxDr$미암일기$\boxUl$의 중요성을 알 수 있다.
