This paper develops a methodology that can be used to quantify the assesment of power improvement effectiveness of corps level C4I system applied to integrated fire operation by adapting Schuzer's C2 theory. This paper first describes how C4I systers can enhance the battle outcome in three way. : (1) Enhanced unit probability of survival; (2) Enhanced unit's individual effectiveness; improved exchange ratios; (3) Improved task force allocations : increased percentage of assets that can be assigned to a given engagement These enhancements are then show to result from improved probability of detection through information sharing; improved survivability and lethality through battle force coordination; and enhanced force allocation and prepositioning through improved timeliness of information(more advanced warning). It demonstrates that well-designed C4I systems can be shown to represent a significant force multiplier on the outcome of the battle.

The simplex method requires basis update in each iteration, which is the most time consuming process. Several methods have been developed for the update of basis which is represented in LU factorized form, such as Bartels-Golub's method, Forrest-Tomlin's method, Reid's method, Saunders's method, etc. In this research, we compare between the updating methods in terms of sparsity, data structure and computing time issues. The analysis is mainly based on the computational experience.

This paper is intended to investigate the Build-up Method of SCM(Supply Chain Management) Connection applying EC Standard. SCM helps companies plan and supply to meet customer demand. SCM is the only solution available today that enables an organization to strategize, plan and execute a company's buy, make, move, store, fulfill and service business processes across multiple enterprises for total profitability. The research of modern scientists has thrown new light on the subject. However, the study of SCM for EC Standard has been strangely neglected by critics. Consequently, existing SCM systems, which require to introduce the functions of EC, need to be changed. Summarizations of the main points that have been analyzed in this paper are as follows:. the sharing information for connection and the Rosetta-net standard of the existing SCM system(Order management module(PIP 3A4) of the Rosetta-net specifications for connection by the Rosetta-net). Finally, it shows the process of the gateway for connecting among the existing SCM systems.

Policy-based networking offers a network manager the ability to manage the network in a holistic and dynamic fashion rather than force a network manager to manage the network by dealing with each device individually. Policy-based networking is focusing on users and applications instead of emphasizing devices and interfaces. An important part of the policy-based networking is to simplify the task of administration and management for different disciplines. The Defense Information System(DIS) of today are complex and heterogeneous systems. Operational needs are not a trivial task and Quality of Service(QoS) is not generally guaranteed. So, important data may be missed or congested by trivial data. Policy-based networking provide a way to support QoS and simplify the management of multiple devices deploying complex technologies. This paper suggest implementation of policy-based networking in DIS to improvement of performance, and implementation is progressed step by step. Especially this paper is focusing on the providing QoS with policy-based networking using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol(LDAP) Server.

This paper proposes that we need a simpler method for developing the Website strategy for public institutions. The research objectives are threefold: (1) A model that relates to the monitoring of Website strategy in the public sector is proposed. The model includes basic dimensions and a $2{\times}3$ matrix that is a simplified version of the Mohammed et dl.s Marketspace Matrix. (2) The model is tested empirically with a sample of 56 Websites selected from govemment agencies, military organizations and police stations in Korea. (3) The effect of dimension/factors on the innovation level is tested. A special attention is paid to online attracting that is important for public institutions which usually do not use offline advertising aggressively. Results from regression analyses show that main dimensions (Marketing Drivers and relationship Stages) and three factors (Basic Information, Support Information, and Participation) in the matrix are all significantly influential on the innovation level, but the Attracting is not. Colorful designs and attracting features of a homepage have not necessarily anything to do with innovation. This message can offer a good piece of advice for managers of Websites.

This paper is to suggest strategic options for improving the export performance of the plant and construction industry. The overall objective of this study is to explore the feasibility of a sustained export performance in the plant and overseas construction industry by an analysis of its international competitiveness and technological competence. The empirical work of this study relates to a chosen sample of Korean and non-Korean firms in the plant and construction industry sector. Primary data was collected through a comprehensive questionnaire survey administered to plant and construction firms in twelve countries, including Korea. The actual number of firms for which full information at a sufficient level of disaggregation was obtained was 62, a response rate of 44.6％. Of these, 42 firms were drawn from Korean plant and construction firms and the remaining 20 firms from 11 other countries. The structure of responding firms by industry shows a total of 29 plant exporters and 33 construction firms. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS statistical technique such as Multiple Regression in order to examine the linear relationship among variables. The findings of the study indicate that export success and failure in plant and construction export markets is determined by firm size and by various qualitative variables. The high export volume (export success) of Plant and construction exporters is more strongly influenced by mutual economic cooperation and number of employees than by sales volume and competent knowledge of the plant and construction markets. It was also found that weak political and diplomatic relation between countries, low sales volume and lack of bid experience have an adverse effect and represent serious barriers to exports.

The procedure and implementation of an simulation based production planning and scheduling system. Production planning and scheduling is important problem in manufacturing field. It is so important for delivery quality as well as productivity, too. In this paper, heuristic production planning and scheduling module for improving delivery quality and productivity will be discussed. Beginning with total demand and initial work in process, the algorithms for production scheduling and planning can efficiently generate a feasible production resources and capacity schedule results in high resource utilization, minimum number of the late orders and reduced labor variability. The algorithm is executed to achieve the best on time delivery performance. The developed heuristic algorithms in the module will be expected to provide the better delivery performance and productivity.
