Physical activity, social support and participation of women knowledge about cervical cancer screening, the screening attitude multiplicative influence of cervical cancer screening

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the psychological factors affecting cervical cancer screening intention focused on college women including graduate students. A total of 281 college women students were analyzed. The major results of this study indicate that positive attitude toward cervical cancer screening through social support(family and friend), doctor and nurse support were essential to improve cervical cancer screening intention of college women.

본 연구는 대학원생을 포함한 여대생들의 자궁경부암 예방을 위한 방안을 도출하는데 있어 필요한 시사점을 제공하고자 자궁경부암 검진에 대한 사회적 지지와 지식, 검진태도가 자궁경부암 검진 의도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 여자 대학원생 및 여대생들 281명을 대상으로 경로분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구를 통해 여대생들의 자궁경부암 검진의도를 높이기 위해서는 사회적 지지를 통해 자궁경부암 검진태도를 높이고, 의사 및 간호사의 자궁경부암 검진에 대한 적극적인 권유와 지지, 그리고 자궁경부암 검진에 대한 긍정적 태도가 중요함을 확인할 수 있었다.
