Family Program Development Direction for Stepfamily Relationship Enhancement with Adolescents at Home -Focusing on the Relation between Stepparents and Stepchildren-

재혼가족 관계향상을 위한 프로그램 개발방향 -새부모·새자녀관계를 중심으로-

Abstract

The number of stepfamilies is rapidly growing in our society according to social changes. So family programs especially for stepfamily relationship enforcement with adolescents at home are needed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the direction of family programs for enforcing the stepfamily relationship between stepparents and stepchildren. For the purpose, case studies from those stepfamilies were analyzed through qualitative interviews and early developed program contens were referred. Based on discussion mentioned above, program development direction for stepfamily relationship enforcement is not only dealing with difficulties of stepfamilies in their early remarriage but also emphasizing their advantages. In conclusion, this program development direction expected stepfamilies to resolve their problems and to prevent their family break up as well as to deliver practical benefits.

사회변화로 인한 이혼의 증가는 재혼 가능한 층으로 이어져 재혼가족이 증가하고 있다. 이에 청소년 새자녀가 있는 재혼가족의 관계형성을 위한 재혼가족 고유의 가족 프로그램의 개발이 요청되고 있다. 이러한 필요성들을 바탕으로 본 연구의 목적은 재혼가족의 관계형성을 위한 요인들을 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 재혼가족의 관계향상 가족프로그램 개발방향을 살펴보는 것이다. 개략적으로 파악된 국내외 재혼가족의 프로그램의 구성 요인, 이론적 내용들 및 재혼가족을 대상으로 한 심층면접 내용 등을 바탕으로 재혼가족 관계향상 프로그램 개발의 기본방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 드러난 재혼가족 관계향상 프로그램 개발방향은 재혼가족 초기에 재혼가족이 지니고 있는 어려움 외에도 그들이 느끼고 있는 장점을 부각시키면서 재혼가족에 대한 이해도를 높이는 것이 중요하다는 것이다. 본 연구결과는 청소년기 자녀가 있는 재혼가족이 관계향상을 통하여 문제를 해결하고 재이혼에 따른 가족해체를 방지, 성공적인 재혼생활을 영위하여 가족구성원들의 삶의 질을 향상하도록 실질적 도움을 준다는데 그 의의가 있을 것이다.
