초록
In 1990, government of UK established six Housing Action Trusts(HAT), setting up to redevelop some of the poorest council housing estates in Britain's inner-city suburbs. HAT's making it a neighborhood regeneration project rather than simply a housing redevelopment project and achievement of self-sustaining neighbourhood regeneration. The purpose of this study is to deduce regeneration characteristics of HATs by concept of Sustainable Conversion. For the purpose of this study, structuring mechanisms of HATs were reviewed. The analysis is done through concept of Sustainable Conversion as aspects of social, economic, environmental, cultural and system which had been deduced from researcher's prior study, based on six HATs in North Hull(Hull, 1991-1999), Waltham Forest(London, 1991-2002), Liverpool(Liverpool, 1993-2005), Castle Vale(Birmingham, 1993-2005), Tower Hamlets(London, 1993-2004), Stonebridge(London, 1994-2007) for case study. The results of this study are expected to serve some clues for the future reference of Sustainable Conversion in Korea.
