An Analysis of Cooperative Systems Between School and Public Libraries in Seoul and Its Outskirts

학교도서관과 공공도서관의 연계.협력 체제에 대한 분석 - 수도권 지역의 사례를 중심으로 -

Abstract

This study aims at providing ideas to develop a new plan after the completion of the first five year School Library Development Plan(2003-2007) initiated by the Ministry of Education(MOE). In doing so, it analyzes cooperative systems and collaborative efforts between school and public libraries in the City of Seoul and its outskirts. Major research methods used are associated with the following (1) case studies in the city of Seoul, Inchon, and the Kyung-Gi province and (2) questionnaire and interviewing techniques for those who are engaged In the collaborative systems. In sum, this study analyzes the strengths and limitations of the cooperative systems in different regional areas. It also suggests ideas to improve the shortcomings of current systems.

이 연구는 학교도서관과 공공도서관의 연계 협력 체제를 분석하여 학교도서관 활성화 5개년 계획 종료 이후의 새로운 정책 수립에 도움을 주기 위한 것이다. 연구 방법은 수도권 지역인 서울, 인천, 경기 지역의 실제 사례를 조사하고, 연계 협력 관련자에 대한 설문지 및 면담조사를 통해, 각 지역의 특징적인 연계 협력 체제의 유형에 대한 장단점을 분석하고 문제점에 대한 개선 방안을 제시하였다.
