A Review on the Urban-Economic Geographical Research of Office Locations

사무입지에 관한 도시#{\cdot}$경제지리학적 연구동향과 과제

In the recent years the office sector or industry are recognized not only as a key economic activity and employment source in urban areas, but also as a factor for the changing urban spatial structure. This paper aims to review the research trends and future prospects on the office locations. The study starts with a survey of literatures by summarizing the most important previous studies on the office location research and by disclosing research deficits. And then general locational trends of office activities on the base on the different geographical scale and its current location dynamics including the influencing factors are discussed. Finally this study summarizes the outlooks on the future task within office location research.

사무활동은 (후기)산업사회로의 발전도정에서 도시의 주된 경제활동이자 핵심 고용원으로 등장하고 있을 뿐만 아니라, (대)도시권의 경관과 공간구조를 형성하고 재편하는데 중요한 동인의 하나로 주목받고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 그 동안 도시 및 경제지리학을 중심으로 다양하게 이루어져온 사무활동의 입지에 관한 연구동향과 접근 방법론을 개관하는 동시에, 기존 연구의 문제점을 살펴보는데 있다. 아울러 사무입지의 주요 전개패턴과 그 변동양상을 체계적으로 검토하고 정리하고자 한다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 최근 들어 다소 소강상태를 보이고 있는 사무입지에 관한 연구의의를 다시 한번 환기시키며, 장래 전망을 비판적으로 논의하고자 한다.
