친환경추진제 '과산화수소'의 특성과 응용

Characteristics and Applications of Green Propellant 'Hydrogen Peroxide'

최근 환경에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 우주분야에서도 친환경 추진제의 요구가 높아지고 있다. 과산화수소는 이에 가장 적합한 추진제로서 적은 비용으로 개발이 가능한 매우 친환경적인 추진제이다. 본 논문에서는 과산화수소의 화학적 특성과 장단점을 소개하였고, 역사적 적용 사례와 최근 국내외 개발 동향에 대하여 소개하였다.

As the interest of environment was increased recently, the environment friendly propellants are required in space community, The hydrogen peroxide is the most suitable propellant for this because it requires very low development cost and has very low environmental impact. In this paper the chemical characteristics, advantage/disadvantage as a propellant, historical applications and recent developments were discussed.
